As above is data or apps deleted?

No, you shouldn't lose any data or applications, other than system applications which might be updated or theoretically removed.

Factory data reset and catche wipes were the only method I was successful with. Tried everything prior with titanium and root explorer to remove the elusive account. Had same problem as you did.

How do I get the old market back and keep it that way? I've uninstalled the updates but it updates automatically again

If you are root, rename marketupdater.apk in system/app. Maybe it helps.

This works well for me.

If you're rooted, clear data then uninstall or freeze the "MarketUpdater" app in the application list.
Then uninstall the updates for the actual market.

Get Titanium Backup and freeze the market updater after you uninstall the updates.
I'm currently on the old market myself...

With this apk you can (if you device is rooted) block Market Updater, and stay old good Market 2.3.6

Titanium backup doesn't let me freeze the market updater, it says I need the donate version.

Back it up and uninstall it. That way if you want it back you could always restore.
Best way to do it with free version of TB

If you can afford it, I highly recommended Titanium Backup Pro. It's literally the Swiss Army Knife of Android phones, and the developer is very passionate about updating it...

I first deleted MarketUpdater.apk and then i deinstalled the update.
Hi guyz, i am wondering if anyone has an idea about deleting pre- installed apps which are using system memory even if i am not using them. (Without rooting)...
Cheers...

Being preinstalled system apps you cannot delete them without root.
You can disable them though... - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40911004#post40911004
Or someone could make a system tar filr without all those files. Minus the root. But thats highly unlikely..

Depending on where you get the NAE tar file you may lose data. The 4.4.2 tar file on Sammobile.com does not wipe data, but I've heard reports that the tar file in the android development section does do a factory reset when it installs so you will lose data. Choose wisely.
And the data is sometimes wiped from your entire internal SD.
