Hey
I have a Micro usb to hdmi connector, it worked with my HTC One X, are they not compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S4?
You are using the old model (5 pins) which workable on SGS2 only. SGS3, Note 2 and SGS4 can support newer model only which has 11 pins.

So the Slimport adapter for the N4 looks identical to the MHL adapter I have for my SG3. What is the difference? I been thinking about trying the MHL adapter when I get home.
I read somewhere that slim port has the chip in the cable whereas mhl has it inside the device.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Also, SlimPort apparently supports the possibility of an analog (eg. VGA) connection, while MHL only supports HDMI/DVI and similar.

As it says, the DVI, DisplayPort, and VGA adapters aren't available yet.
Hello,
Is there any way we can use a Samsung MHL adapter on Nexus 4 ?
Thanks
No way of enabling this with a kernel ?
Or it's a hardware issue ?
I just saw some guys mentioned that they are not sure hdmi or mhl functionality of note 3 and few people discussion MHL/ hdmi output. I write this to told you all who cares HDMI output of note 3. I am sure to tell that note 3 support MHL, which is is an industry standard for a mobile audio/video interface that allows consumers to connect mobile phones, tablets and other portable consumer electronics (CE) devices to high-definition televisions (HDTVs) and audio receivers. (here is the official link , shows that note 3 support MHL).
Therefore, if you guys who want to display note 3 via the MHL port of note 3 to a HDTV screen, all you need is a MHL to HDMI converter.

Any questions on MHL or HDMI, please give your feedback here. I am ready to help.
I can't get MHL cable to work through HDMI on TV.
I am using this cable. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I am using the 11 pin adapter. The cable works with my galaxy s3 but not note 3. I read it could be a kit kat issue. I am running MOAR_S5_Port v5 10-26-14. http://forum.xda-developers.com/note...5port-t2836713
Anyone else have this problem?
Has anyone been able to get the MHL to HDTV Adapator Cable for HDMI to work on a Samsung Tab 4 7inch SM-T230NJ ?
I don't know about the tab 4 7, but it is not supported on the Tab 4 8 or 10.1
Eric
I've got a s5 neo (SM-G903F) and picked up an 11pin USB MHL 2.0 to HDMI cable in the hope of connecting my phone to my TV but it only charges phone and doesn't display phone screen on any of TVs in my house.
Seems phone is not MHL compatible
Just wondering if there is away around this or a different way to mirror my phone screen to my TV?
I have same question-problem
Can be done anything to "make" S5 Neo work with MHL Hdmi adapter?
Quite disappointment this missing feature, im even thinking to sell and change to "old" S5 .
S5 neo does not suppot ML. The phone is a downgrade of the original S5 in some areas.
