Try to go back to the stock PD15IMG, and unlock your sim with ./gfree.
I dont know if what I said is right or not I just said what I think is right

well generally i think he means by placing the phone on another carrier or he may mean by changing the msl code which is different for each sprint phone unlike verizion which uses 000000 for all phones. I do not think he means about rooting.

To answer the OPs question,yes it can be unlocked. I had to unlock it when I flashed one to boost.
i just got a mytouch 4g with 2.3 on it and idk how to root it im a real noob at this it might be my first root i heard from a friend that i have to downgrade it i guess thats what he did but i wanted to ask if i can root it without having to

As with most things that have to do with modifying your device, yes; there is a chance you can brick it. Although, if you read everything thoroughly and follow instructions closely, you should be fine.

Also, even if you follow all the steps straightly, you have a chance (minimal) of getting your phone bricked.
Actually, you can have it bricked even if you do nothing (i mean just normal use without downgrading and rooting it). This is very rare but in two months with my my touch4g I did see it a couple times.

Hey thanks guys, well my cellphone show Fail-pu when i try to install the stock rom, but in one option no show fail-pu,just is loading.... but never end and yes my phone turn on.
Can you give me a solution or just died my cellphone, because i don't understand this: THAT YOU CANNOT WRITE TO THE PHONE/EMMC CHIP ANYMORE.. thats mean my cellphone died or what? if I send my phone with a technician could unbrick my phone?

Your phones gone man. When your chip gives away your phone is dead. I think someone posted a link to a emmc repair service. I don't know what thread that was I though.
