Waiting and Waiting from Expansys!!!

I'm a little frustrated with waiting on expansys to re-stock. I ordered my device monday Nov 10th. After verifying the credit card mess they updated my status to "waiting to for re-stock". But whats crazy is that Expansys-usa.com says that they have some in stock. When i called and inquired about it, they said that its at thier central location and not thier usa location. Their just waiting for their next shipment.
I just want to order the device and it be on its way.
Sorry for venting, I just dont know where to order at and it actually gets shipped without any delays. I have tried searching via google and the websites dont look to promising. I know of Clove Technologies....but i thought that might be the same situation.

I just order today and now Expansys says that only have a new stock at 6 of December...
I ordered mine from Expansys HK, and they luckily had one piece in stock remaining, and i got it today, at my friends place in HK! (still gotta wait for it to come to my country! argh!)
I saw that Expansys UK has good stock, i mean, couple of days back, they had around 59 in stock, and were ready to ship it to HK if i wanted. (Coz expansys-hk had the last piece, so didnt order from expansys-uk)
i suggest call them up (UK) and find out of the stock position, dont go on what they say on the site!
Expansys US showed 1-5 in stock, and when i called, they told me they are out of stock! buggers!

Dear Friend,
How much you got it from expansys? And also how much did the indian customs charging you? i am all set to buy from Clove, is it a good decesion?
Expansys are shady, they told me when I ordered from them everything was in stock and would be dispatched same day (twice). However they didn't have stock, also was real nice to inform me as well. Cancelled my entire order with them (which was a few things inc an HD) and went elsewhere. Still waiting for them to put the money back in my bank account too....
Also in the UK they are actually a bit more expensive than other sites.

Hey there,
Dont even think of importing it via courier, else the Indian customs will levy a heavy duty on it, and even stall it for a couple of months!
I got it delivered to my friend's place in Hong Kong itself, and he will be bringing it along with him when he comes here in a week or 2.
Bought it for HK$6205 - VALUE PACK! (Around INR Rs.41,000/-)
Contains:
1x HTC Touch HD
1x HTC Original Car Charger
1x HTC Original CASE for Touch HD
1x HTC BT M200 Bluetooth Headset (i exchanged this with a JABRA one)
Possible solution
Well now I get. So here is my solution. I still have my order with Expansys. They do not have any in stock. I just called them an hour ago. They said they wont have any til late November.
So I ordered from Clove Technologies. Does anyone know if they have it in stock? I'm going to cancel my order with Expansys as soon as I know Clove have shipped it. Hopefully they have it in. Another user here informed me on how well they are with orders. Hopefully I can here something from them today.
Last, I know there will be some customs form I have to fill out....any idea on the added delay with that?
www.devicewire.co.uk have it in stock and they cost only £514 inc VAT. Hurry, they are flying of the shelves quick! I also have a £10 expansys voucher for the first person to ask!

Just got off the phone from Expansys UK. They have got a back-order of over 300 to fulfill. Just to let you know if you are thinking of ordering. This is with the website saying "OVER 30 IN STOCK. IF YOU ORDER TODAY YOU WILL GET IT TOMORROW".
<rant>
It seems a tricky way of representing actual stock to the innocent buyer. Again that teaches us to CALL FIRST & confirm. Asking the key questions and not just go by what you read on the site. I'm sure they've got it all covered on small-print somewhere. You can cancel at any time though, they did say that. </rant>
Expansys lying on delivery date
As most of you have ordered my HTC HD from expansys Hong Kong at the time they were saying it should be delivered with 6 days. Since them the delivery date has been postponed and postponed. Therefore I have cancelled my order because the device will be available in any Hong Kong shops at the time of their delivery.
I am lucky enough to have my office close to their Hong Kong office. Therefore I cannot resist to go there to explain what I thing about their lies.
I ordered one from Clove and they dispatched the second day..
I'm from China and the phone's already arrived at Hong Kong today.
I should get it tomorrow
Just to throw my 2 pence in about Clove Technologies - I ordered my HTC Touch HD from them last Saturday, and the phone arrived on Wednesday. It would have arrived on Tuesday, but they had to do an extra security check to ensure I was the cardholder (which I respect quite a lot). So all in all, a very positive experience with them.
It's a shame that the price from Clove is £539.33 including VAT though....

Ordered a Dev phone 1 (G1) but still not shipped

Hi again!
I ordered the Dev Phone 1 the 16th of Dec through Google as a Google Developer. It still hasnt been shipped which kinda sucks, as I need it before the coming Friday :/
Anyone ordered theirs recently? Been trying to call them, but they are always closed (Leads me to believe they are not working these days)
I ordered mine on 26 dec. Fedex picked it up on 29 dec and right now its on the way. Have you tried emailing them? Some of their departments might be closed because of the holidays.
No worries: I have ordered mine from Germany on 11th (I think) and it came on 18th before midday ... shipment notification with UPS tracking number came same afternoon! ;-) Yours may be on the way as well.
I actually had to call them. The nice girl on the other line said the system must have "dropped" my order.
But she was able to sort it out and the device was shipped a day later. They even shipped it using the 2 Day Express thingy because I said I'd need to have it before christmas (someone brought it to germany for me) without any extra charges
I ordered on the 9th and received it on the 23rd. Terrible ordering/shipping system.

Their ordering system is HORRID... but it gets it done. When I ordered it, it never reported that the order was in the system, or even valid. The only confirmation I was able to obtain was the receipt it generated when I initially completed the order, (I printed it, thankfully) after that, the website never once reported that I had a valid and active order. Their support side was also minimum, only very shortly replying that the order was still valid and that it would be shipping soon and providing a link to the confirmation number, after much some prod'ing. The irony is that the automated system only confirmed that the phone had shipped and provided the automated confirmation of the order, the day the phone actually arrived at it's destination!
Thankfully the phone arrived well packaged and ontime without problems, and in a fairly sturdy box that withstood some damage on the exterior but nothing on the interior!

Buying from comet UK

Hi guys,
I need advice for buying from Comet UK the Asus EEE pad.
Now, I am not from UK, and without going into the details, I need it to be delivered to an address between the 1st of June (not earlier!) and the 3rd included (not later!).
If I am not mistaken, it seems that if you buy online you can choose the delivery date even for FREE delivery.
Is this delivery date reliable? can I risk delays or anticipated deliveries?
Many thanks in advance!
If it's in stock it will be delivered when they say it will.
Unless, like me, you live in the Highlands or another outlying area where it could take an extra 24 hours or more from what they state in their order tracking section of their site, you should be OK.
You might be better off ringing Comet and buy over the phone, ask if they can post it by Air Sure service for the date that you require.
Sent from my HTC Desire
i paid the £7.** postage charge to dundee, scotland and got it the day they said (quite early as well) as was delivered via parcel force.
Or you could check the online stock checker and go and pick one up from a local store if they have one in stock. They do a Reserve and Collect service.
I was lucky with mine, I went to a store that had stock so I knew I'd be able to play with a demo unit, but they also had an untouched return they had on clearance for £340, bought it there and then!

[q] Anyone order a replacement phone? How long did it take to receive?

Hey all, this is for those who had a defect with their first Nexus 4, and had to call Play Support and request a new one.
When you call in, you place the order while on the phone, they e-mail you while on the phone. How many days between that and actually receiving a notice that Google is shipping it out?
I placed a replacement order 4 days ago and have heard nothing since..
Just curious, and also might help others that are curious, thanks!
Considering that 4 days ago was a weekend, and they won't ship anything on weekends + 2-3 Business days to process your order, you will probably get shipping details on the 6th or 7th (could be tomorrow.)
And I don't think the DC knows whether your order was for a replacement or not since you had to order the replacement from the play store, so it might get shuffled behind those that have place orders ahead of you.
I was going to process a replacement (RMA/Shipping Label email is sitting unread in my Inbox); but decided to wait to see if others are experiencing the problem first. To find out its a mass issue or just related to my device.
I placed an order for an RMA unit Thursday night after calling Google and having the RMA link emailed to me. I received an email the following morning with a notice that the replacement phone had shipped and a tracking number was provided. The UPS tracking page just displayed a yellow box that says "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."
I just checked again and the yellow box with the above message is still there. I'm thinking that the tracking number should have updated information by Friday. Ideally, I'd like to have the new phone by then but at this rate I'll just be happy to have it by this time next week.
I ordered the replacement and received it 5 days later. Unluckily, I got a defected replacement and I have to called CSR again. Ordered 2nd replacement on Dec 2 and still waiting for taking number.
What email did you guys first get? The RMA email?
I placed one today and have only gotten an RMA email, nothing about a new phone being shipped...
They state it will be here 3-5 days, I leave the country saturday so I may be out of luck..

Unfortunately, I'm already expecting the RMA unit to be defective as well. The more I read the more it appears these phones all seem to have at least 1 thing wrong with them.

Oh well, I may have to keep both and sell the extra when I get back then.
I'm sure the speaker noise will be there in the replacement...
So where do they pull these replacement orders from? Do they have a stash of Nexus 4's solely just for replacements separate from the regular orders?
And what's the guarantee the replacement unit won't be of the same "batch" and have the same issues?
Just curious because my earpiece is buzzing and I'm not sure if I should bother exchanging or not... You also lose out on the screen protector and have to get a new one.

If you decide to keep both, will they add shipping and tax to the AUTH charge? Because if not, isn't this a sneaky way of getting a 2nd Nexus 4 for cheaper? Or likewise, a Nexus 4 way earlier than folks ordering normally?
Got mine in 5 days after ordering a replacement

Called on the 28th got confirmation on same day with all the links got shipping notification on the 30th, received it Tuesday the 4th very positive expirence.
also i sent a support thingy via the website didn't hear anything for 24hours so i just called and got everything instantly. so yeah if you need to RMA and want it fast just call and do it on the phone with the rep
called the night of 29th for RMA, got confirmation e-mail right away, but nothing since then....called google on 3rd and 4th dec, apparently it's still being processed...go figure. Not too happy right now.

We are in the same boat.
Ordered the night of 28th, got RMA and order confirmation email. No shipping email yet. I would like to receive the replacement asap since I have to return the device in 21 days. On the other hand, there is a chance that the replacement might be from a newer batch so I don't mind waiting.

Yes, they have a seperate stock for RMA's only. Which explains why they can be sent out right away.
There is no gaurantee that these replacements didn't come from the same batch at the defective units. In fact, more than likely they are the same batch. I remember when I RMA'd my Galaxy Nexus last year the rep told me that the RMA units are hand inspected to ensure there are no defects, which I believed at the time. But after all this N4 shipping craziness and lies I don't believe a word any of those people tell me.
As far as I'm aware they will only charge the "auth" amount in full if you fail to return the device. So for me the $349 charge will hit my card and I COULD turn around and sell the other phone if I wanted. However, I'm just going to send it back.

Yeah, this makes me nervous as well. I ordered on the 29th and received my tracking number on the 30th. However, the tracking status is still just the yellow box saying a shipping label has been created as of 12/5. I'm afraid that I won't get the phone until I have like 1 day to return the defective unit within the 21 day period.
Time will tell I suppose.
Another person on the same boat. Called on the 28th forgot to click the link to reordered till the 1st. Still haven't receive any tracking info.
Ordered replacement on 28th and got a shipping notice just after midnight of the 30th. No movement on the tracking number even though I got a useless My Choice notification that it was going to be delivered yesterday. Nothing arrived . Awaiting a reply from my CSR.

Keep me posted. Looks like myself and others are in the same situation. Just about the same dates and everything.
Here's my complete experience with my first RMA...
I called them a few days after i received my N4 (i was a first batch buyer) and noticed on the back i had a crack and scratches, despite still having the back film on there, so i took the film off thinking that was scratched but it wasn't, it was the phone out of the box so i called Google on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, they couldn't match my imei so they sent it to a "higher up" and then i called again Monday because i had heard nothing and the CSR said the RMA was ready and i started the process on Monday afternoon! I got a shipping confirmation the next day at about 6 pm Tuesday, i clicked the tracking number and to my surprise, my phone was already in my state ready for delivery! I received the phone at about 7 pm Wednesday! Now my replacement had no scratches or anything, however, it had the fu**in deafening screeching sound when in a call so i called again this past Sunday and got another RMA set up...but this time i haven't gotten a shipping email yet, just a "ship within a week" notice! I don't mind it since i already have the device, but here's hoping it doesn't have the sound! If it does, ill milk the RMA until i get a device without that sound! Its unbearable! Anyways, that's my story!

Hey Guys, This is gonna be a bit off topic, but don't take it wrong.. i am thinking about ordering this phone from germany (my friend does live here so he will order it then he will send it to me to slovakia),, but as i see this,, it's really not worth of it as i see dozens of problems with this phone,
So my question, IS it worth to get this phone with that so many problems?
11/29 - RMA order placed
11/30 - Confirmation email with UPS tracking number received. Email says that the phone will be delivered within 3-5 business days
11/30 - UPS Tracking page says, "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."
12/5 - UPS tracking page still says the above with no additional tracking info
Today is the 4th business day since receiving the email with the tracking number so I figure that there should definitely be at least an origin scan on the UPS tracking page by now. Since there does not appear to be an update to the tracking progress I decided to make some calls and see if anyone could shed light on where my RMA unit is. I called UPS first. They told me that the label has been printed but the seller (Google) still hasn't given them the phone to ship out. This was precisely what I figured the case was because Google has just been so fantastic about shipping these N4's out.
Then I decided to call Google for some sort of an explanation (optimistic, I know). I talked to a CSR who gave me the same BS others have been getting who also have the tracking number with no tracking updates. He said this situation is "very strange and rare" then said he would forwarded my issue to a "shipping specialist" (yeah right) and told me he would email me back within the next 2 days (again, yeah right).
So here I am with absolutely no idea where my replacement phone is. I suppose I could be worse off though since I already have an N4 in my possession. But now I just want one that isn't defective out of the box.

Moto G Order Saga

Hello All - I thought my experience ordering a Moto G LTE might save others some headaches. Here's the saga:
I ordered a Moto G LTE from Motorola's website on June 5th (they immediately charged my credit card). I received a confirmation email with a scheduled delivery date of June 10th. Come June 10th no phone, so I checked the order status. The Moto website stated the phone had not even shipped. I initiated an online chat via the website, explained the issue and the Moto rep stated that they were out of stock and it would be at least 4 or 5 working days before the phone would be shipped. Note that at this point in time the Moto website stated they were in stock. I told the Moto rep that I didn't want the phone (knowing that Amazon had them in stock) and told him to cancel the order. After 30 minutes of "I have to talk to a specialist" and "perhaps we can expedite the order" and other delaying tactics I still maintained that I wanted the order canceled. On hold for another 10 minutes, he came back on and said the order would be canceled and I would receive a confirming email within 24 hours. For reference I printed out the chat session. The next day when no email arrived I again checked status to find the order had been shipped. This would have been ok but I had already ordered one from Amazon, based on his assurance that the order had been canceled. Not needing two phones, and angry at being lied to by the Moto rep I refused delivery of the Moto phone. This morning I received confirmation from FedEx that the phone was returned to Motorola so I tried to initiate a return to get a refund. Can't do it - you need the IMEI number which I didn't have. So I called Moto. After reaching a Moto rep, giving her all my info, spelling my name several times, describing my problem, she said their system was down and I had to call back in two hours. Three hours later I called back, went through the same process and was told I would be placed on hold for two minutes while he looked into the situation. TWENTY MINUTES later he came back on, said he had to transfer me to a specialist. Another 10 minutes on hold and a cheerful Moto rep asked "how can I help you today". Went through the process AGAIN for the third time today and this time told him I would not be placed on hold, if I had to wait so did he. After 15 minutes of "let me look into this" he finally said he would process a refund within 10 days. We'll see - I plan on filing a dispute with my credit card company anyway just to be sure. So here's what I learned:
1. Don't believe anything a Motorola representative tells you.
2. Document everything. Ask them for an incident number. If you ship anything to them get a tracking number.
3. As much as you want to holler at the guy on the other end of the phone (or chat session) don't get angry with them. Motorola keeps these guys on a short leash and he is just following orders. Most likely he lives in a third world country somewhere (given the accent I suspect India) and knows there are hundreds of his countrymen who will take his place if he doesn't follow the rules. Besides it won't do any good - just be firm, polite and repeat any commitments he makes back to him for confirmation. Again, keep records of everything, including notes you take during phone calls.
4. Persevere - I do think they try delaying tactics to try to get you to give up. At one point in the chat session I was told that he needed to contact a specialist and it would take 20 minutes - did I want to hold? When I told him I refuse to wait 20 minutes he miraculously was connected within 30 seconds.
5. Try not to go crazy while on hold and listening to "Here at Motorola we're here to help. A representative will be with you shortly" for what seemed like a thousand times.
Am I recommending against the Moto G? Not at all. I bought the phone for my daughter and she loves it. What I am recommending is not buying from Motorola direct. Amazon has the same phone at the same price and if you are a Prime member two day shipping is free. Plus if you do need to return it Amazon is quick and easy. Tech support may be another issue, but I have no first hand experience so others on this forum would be in a better position to comment. Having dealt with AT&T tech support I doubt that Motorola could be any worse.
So that's my experience. Eventually I'll get a refund from Motorola, all that remains to be seen is how much effort I need to expend to get it.
Hope this helps.
Sir, Friend..I have ordered a many devices from the Moto direct site..seems as thow patients with the order would have been the thing, and avoided all the hassle gone thru, because Amazon was out of the devices about the same time, I have monitored both sites, and availability..one or the other would have gotten you the device just as soon..one must keep in mind of the demand, and patients will always come out ahead, whether or not a couple more days before you received the device, and I'm sure your daughter could have waited a couple, three more days..the crazy world has lost the thing called "patients" which is a trait we must hone continually.. and avoid stress while doing so..and there was a weekend between June 5th and June 10th..and not all people work 24/7..Seems as thow all this may / could have been avoided..just me thow..

+1. People want everything immediately these days. Crazy world.
Have you even thought that if you didn't rush to order one from Amazon, while you didn't have a confirmed refund and what followed is only and only your fault?

I just checked my order and I ordered from Motorola on the same day as you. I actually received mine on the 10th. When you are ordering a brand new device, you have to expect delays and misinformation from CSRs. The best thing you could of done was had a little patience and you would of received yours from Motorola rather quickly and before Amazon. I don't really see what Motorola did to you that was so wrong.

My point was that 1) Motorola stated they would deliver the product on June 10th. 2) When they didn't, I initiated contact with them and first was told they were "out of stock, and when they stock up they will send the phone". They went from delivering it on June 10th to delivering it "when they stock up", so there was no specific date. It was only after requesting the cancellation they came back and said it would ship "in 4 or 5 working days". While I was on line with Motorola I checked the Amazon store, which said the phone was in stock. It was only after Motorola's assurance that the order was canceled did I place the order with Amazon on June 10th. I received the phone from Amazon on June 12th. The Motorola rep stated 1) they were out of stock, 2) it would ship in 4 or 5 working days and 3) the order was canceled - all of these statements were false. Patience has nothing to do with it - I don't like being lied to. But please feel free to disregard my experience and order direct from Motorola. My post was only intended to advise others of my experience and they can make whatever use of the information as they see fit.
Have a nice day.

So if I understand your post I should have waited for Motorola to refund my account? Even when they told me the order was canceled they stated it would be up to 10 working days before the refund was posted. So you advocate I should patiently sit and wait for two weeks for a refund, just to be sure they didn't lie to me, then order the phone from Amazon? Why would I do that for a measly $220? My daughter is enjoying her new phone (her old one was on its last legs) and I will eventually receive a refund from Motorola. The only question is when. Again, you may want to order from Motorola - go ahead. Doesn't bother me a bit. Personally I don't like dealing with someone that blatantly lies, and the Motorola rep made three statements that simply weren't true.
You should have just waited for "4 or 5 working days", IMO.

I didn't mean you should wait the whole period until the refund pops-up on your account. But you should have let some reasonable time to pass at least (3 days or so).Other than that, its your problem what you do with your money after all, even if you end up with 2 phones or w/e.
Perhaps everyone here is right. Had I known that Motorola's customer service group was this screwed up I would have waited the 4 or 5 working days, which would have actually been at least a week (assuming that wasn't another lie). Of course, if I had known they were this screwed up I wouldn't have ordered from them in the first place - which was the point of my original post.
I'm just letting people know of my experience, they can order from whomever they choose.

Actually, my experience has been quite the opposite from Motorola. Even so, I don't see what they did that was so wrong. You were ordering new hardware that hasn't been released yet. For them not to be able to give you an exact shipping time is not uncommon (even Amazon has issues with this). It seems the main problem is you just didn't have patience.
