I found a problem with this 3.1 rom! After rebooting, it lost all contacts of the device, only sim contacts left! I have tried three times, the same problem remains!

BTW, if you don't wanna lose your data, you might have to keep the old data.img (not replacing with the new one). However, this might work with the same build, I never try with other builds..
He did ask the question in the original thread but no answered and he is impatient.
To be honest I asked a question the other day - no one bothered to answer - I guess no body knew the answer (can you keep key lights on in android during use like you can in Windows using keypad led control?)
Sometimes people get frustrated but more often its just a lack patience.

Try to search the question, or read more before asking, things might happen differently

Lol.. Der must be an option to "LIKE" a Post.. Same as we have on facebook..
Best way to NEVER lose your contacts is to sync them with google. They'll be re-synced on any new build.
I do this cause using Titanium backup to shift contacts/messages from a clean Froyo build to a Sense build always corrupts the build and force closes everything on boot.

But if everyone just do this, the forum will be a mess, don't always just think of yourself please will you people.
Anyone else find a very very small sticker covering their camera? It was still there after completely removing (I thought!) all the little sticker/protective covers on the rest of the phone.
Just found it, having a hell of a time getting it off but it's definitely there!

Sorry, I searched the forums a handful of different ways and didn't find anything about this.

Yeah if you look around the bumper there is some there as well. Its to protect from incidentally scratching off surfaces. Older slide phones came with them on the back of the slider as well. Even the charger block came with one I believe lol. But yeah it shouldn't be too hard to take off.

So I got my S4 the 2nd day it came out. I was lucky enough to get the 32gb. recently I tried sending someone a music file and for the life of me couldn't figure out what i was doing wrong. worked perfectly fine with the s3. so after digging around on the net I found out that samsung has disabled sbeam for everything except pictures/videos.
i am aware that there are apps out there that both parties can install to send other kind of files to each other with tapping feature.
one can also use wifi direct and not have to worry either.
I guess my main question is : Is there a rom out there that enables me to send non picture/video files without having to install a 3rd party app or use wifi direct?

Have you tried looking in the "Development" and "Original Development" sub forums to see what the functions of the ROMs available have? Reading through the threads would provide more information that might not be listed in the OPs. I'm guessing you are not getting replies because this might be a feature that most people really don't care about with custom ROMs so they don't check. Researching the individual ROMs and asking questions (that haven't already been asked) within those threads would probably get you a few more suggestions. Good luck.

While I know this may be a stupid question, my OCD always seems to kick in whenever I take off the back cover. How many times can you take off and put on the back cover on a Galaxy S4 before the clips start to wear away and don't hold on to the back anymore?

I linked you to that thread for several reasons:
A. You are asking a question in the "General" section. Questions should go in Q&A.
B. Your question is subjective...there is no answer to it. It depends on how people remove the cover, how the phone is handled, how the phone's build holds up, etc... Mine might hold up well after taking the back off 1000 times, yours may fall apart after 100 removals.
C. My perception of a phone in good shape might not be the same as your perception.
You will have a better chance of getting an answer in that thread I linked you to, but honestly, I don't think anyone can answer something that doesn't have an answer in the first place. Good luck.

Hello,
So I think I may have found a possible fix for the GPS taking ages to lock position in maps.
It seems the issue is related to Data for some reason, what I noticed is when I was connected to Wifi for a long time then hopped in the car and switched back to Data, GPS would never lock. No idea how this is related, but for me this was the case.
Upon looking through the developer options I found "Mobile data always active" to be toggled on. I simply toggled that OFF and had rock solid GPS locking or a couple of days now.

I don't think you can move the thread unless your a senior moderator. However, you can delete the posts you made and say where you moved it to, then open a new thread in the proper section :good:

Just a slight correction: FSMs can move threads, however SMs get the job of moving special types of threads
