Hey guys this is probably going to sound dumb, but how do I lock the screen orientation in PA 3.15? I've only been using it for a day and maybe I'm just blind but I can't seem to find it. I wanted to make sure it stays in portrait.
Settings>accessibility>uncheck auto rotate screen
You can also add shortcut to this to your quick settings in status bar

Ahh thanks! I thought that was what the 'lock screen' option was in the quick settings. What does 'lock screen' do then?
That enables/disables the password needed to unlock the phone

if it is the stock lock screen (6.5), then yes for sure (don't have 6.5.x so can't say, but assume so). if it is cookies lockscreen...not yet.

some can be found in this sticky thread or i like this one.
cheers.
To change lockscreen wallpaper:
1) At the Home/Today screen, click on Start (top left hand corner)
2) Click on Settings icon
3) Click on Personalize bar
4) Click on "Lock screen wallpaper" option. Follow prompts from there.
For clock and battery display in the taskbar, I am using BattClock

Thanks so much installed BattClock and looks like working fine.
Is there a way to remove the lock screen?
Is there a way to remove the lock screen? I hate doing the little slide thing. This is my first phone that has one and it looks cool and all but I have never, ever turned a phone on by accident. I'd rather it was like my old HTC and I could just hit the power button.
go to: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Lockscreen and look for "Enable" and set it's dword to 0
Hi,
I have googled and forum'ed my fingers off trying not to post something on here... but as you can guess, I have had no luck.
Is there a way to change the slider on the lock screen that toggles silent mode, to toggle bluetooth on and off?
This is someting that I have realised is a fairly saugt after function between me and most of my android buddies.
Any Ideas anyone? pleeeez

Widget Locker should allow this, either by allowing a sliding toggle or just by letting you to place a widget on the lock screen.
Hey guys I've got another question. Does anybody know how to remove the clock from the lock screen?
I've gone through Setting>My Device>Lock Screen and have everything turned off.
I've even downloaded an app called "Lockscreen Policy" which has an option to disable Widget and/or Camera, I've switched both of them off as well. I don't remember the app saying anything about needing root to work.
Really annoying that the stupid clock is covering my Lock Screen Wallpaper especially when the Notification Bar is on the Lockscreen and that has a clock on it anyway.
Thanks in advance.

If you swipe down from the clock it will expand the widget. You can then long press it and drag it to the trash can that appears at the top of the screen.
Be aware, though, that if you do not have any widget there you will just see a screen with a big "+" sign asking you to add a new widget and once the phone locks the clock widget will reappear. The only way to get it to go away permanently is to replace it with a different widget.
Hope this helps.

Yea i just tried it out and see what you mean. I just don't understand the point of it being mandatory to have something. That ****s raining on my customization parade. Thanks for the input.

You should disable the stock lockscreen all together and give WidgetLocker a try. It works really well on my wife's Note 2, and it's super customizable.

I try this and is says "unable to edit in security mode". I understand I may need to "unlock" the phone w/ the security code - but how do I get back to remove the lock screen clock if I do that? I am trying to get Dashclock Widget going, but this is blocking me.
Any thoughts?

Do you have a pattern or PIN lock set? I don't think the widgets work with those.

You are correct. PIN/Pattern doesn't work with other widgets. Thanks man.
Solved it
Hi, folks -- registered just to report that I have solved this problem. Download Minimalistic Text (free), though I'm sure you already have it. Enable Multiple Widgets on the phone, then add a blank Minimalistic Text widget. Delete your clock as described above and enjoy.
even easier: Blank Lockscreen Widget (Play Store)
galaxy s4 lockscreen
This has probably already been mentioned by now but for those still strugglimg with this. Drag down the screen from were the message and clock is. Click the pen looking icon to edit delete txt and uncheck clock if that is not required. Then press save in the top right and your lock screen will be clear :good:

Drag down the life companion message and click edit. Delete text and uncheck clock if also not required then press save. No app or root required just needs to be edited from the lock screen. May need to disable your lock security while you edit. Hope this helps
hide lock screen clock Android 4.3
Hey guys,
I recently got a Note 3 discovered that you cannot remove the lock screen clock. Simply doesn't allow you the option to.
But I found a way to hide it using the "personal message" feature.
Turn personal message on in the lock screen options menu.
Simply uncheck the clock and date boxes and space across a single character (as it won't allow you to have no text but will allow you a space which is invisible anyways..) and then hit save.
So then the next time you go to wake up your phone the lock screen clock will be gone!
I really don't like the way you are literally forced to have a lock screen clock!?!?
I often change my lock screen and desktop wallpapers and don't like the screen to be cluttered with text I don't want to see..
I have only tested this method on my Galaxy Note 3 so I am unsure if this will work on other Android phones..
Also what I have found strangely enough is normally there would be a half to one second lag for the display to sleep when I lock the phone.
This lag seems to have all but gone now that I specified a personal message (even though its blank) and hid the clock & date. Bonus!!
Hope this helps. Apologies if this has been previously covered..
Have fun!

Thanks so much for this now if I can just find away for it not to show that you have a text message on the lock screen things will be great.
FIxed.
Hay guys.
Sorry for the late reply. But I found a way to remove everything on lockscreen...
Date, time and also the unlock icon and rings.
But for now to remove clock simply allow lockscreen widgets then download zooper widget and replace your stock clock widget with an blank zooper widget.
Hope i helped.
[Rooted Phone] I found this xposed module and it's working fine http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ssrdroide.lockscreenclockmods
Hi,
i'm new with emui, i would show whatsapp notifications on my lock screen, and if possible, wake up screen automatically when notification coming.
But i cannot get working any of the functions.
I enabled lock screen notification in whatsapp app, but it doesn't working. I only get sound and led, but on lock screen there is nothing. It is the correct behaviour?
p.s. I have B105 europe version.
Thanks
Ok, i changed theme and now lockscreen notifications are working. Now found option to wake up screen.
One more question: is it possible to use only ONE image in lockscreen? and how i could choose it?
Thanks
go to gallery, select a image, set as wallpaper, only lockscreen
Thanks for answer.
But i have no option to set an image as wallpaper for lockscreen. Maybe because magazine lockscreen is enabled?
On lockscreen, swipe from bottom up to reveal the lockscreen shortcuts and click on Covers.
Then remove all unwanted wallpapers (or add your own). If you only want a single wallpaper, simply add only one.

Is it possible to define how many text rows will show on each notification in lock screen (by default, only one row is shown which is not enough sometimes) ?
is there an option to show up the clock when i touch the screen
My screen constantly wakes up for notifications and I can't figure out how to turn it off. I'm using the "textra" texting app and in the textra settings I have the "wake up screen" option set to off, but my screen still wakes up so there's obviously a setting in the phone that is making this happen, but I can't find it.
Screen lock and passwords.
still cant find it i have the same issue
Notifications & status bar - Notifiations turn on screen.
Go into setting and then screen lock and status bar
Emui 5 Notifications turn on screen
Hello.....that was a problem with my honor 8 lite...just got it fixed by applying the default theme for your emui 5.0.....then go to settings->notifications&status bar then you will find Panel called Notifications Turn on the screen..Just disable it.. ....some themes in huawei themes editor don't support this setting cuz some of these thems are essentially made for emui 4.1 ....Good luck
