My screen constantly wakes up for notifications and I can't figure out how to turn it off. I'm using the "textra" texting app and in the textra settings I have the "wake up screen" option set to off, but my screen still wakes up so there's obviously a setting in the phone that is making this happen, but I can't find it.
Screen lock and passwords.
still cant find it i have the same issue
Notifications & status bar - Notifiations turn on screen.

Emui 5 Notifications turn on screen
Hello.....that was a problem with my honor 8 lite...just got it fixed by applying the default theme for your emui 5.0.....then go to settings->notifications&status bar then you will find Panel called Notifications Turn on the screen..Just disable it.. ....some themes in huawei themes editor don't support this setting cuz some of these thems are essentially made for emui 4.1 ....Good luck

Hi,
Open the messaging app.
Go to settings, notification settings, and untick preview message.
It's nothing to do with that, the lockscreen displays a big ugly grey bar stating you've got a new message or a missed call whenever you get one. It looks crap and I want to disable it too. I started my own thread a few weeks ago but got no response apart from replies like above which aren't the answer. Another one told me to turn notifications off, but although that stops the grey block on the lockscreen, it stops absolutely any notification of new messages, etc so isn't ideal really. There'll be a way to disable it with root access, but you could always install a different lockscreen to prevent it if you wanted.
Nothing under System Settings -> My device -> Lock screen?
- Multiple widgets
- Lock screen widgets
Also while on the lock screen, you can drag down and edit the widgets, try doing that while the notification thing is up?
Doesn't work unfortunately, it just overrides whatever widget you have on the lockscreen.
Does anyone know, short of using a different lockscreen?

Is there ANY way to get the Power Saving Mode icon out of my notifications bar and off the lock screen?! While still in still being engaged of course.
I got it off my lock screen by disabling all lock screen notifications, only disabling 'setting notifications' in the notification menu does not do it. I did not manage to get off the notifications bar yet.

I wish Samsung would fix this! It's annoying.
Hello everybody,
I would like to enable notifications on lock screen so in settings>notifications>settings > I have selected "show notifications on lock screen".
But it doesn't work. I don't have any notifications on lock screen.
For information, I have OxygenOS 4.5.5.
Thanks for your help.

I am also not able to get the lock screen notification of any app. any help would be appriciable
Just bought the phone today and I can't figure out how to show stuff like Weather info or Steam Guard codes on lock screen. I already gave them permission to appear on lock screen from the App Settings menu but still can't see if I need a jacket or not when I check the lock screen.

Settings - lock screen and notifications . U probably turned them off and u won't get any even with settings . Or go to " phone manager " and there find notifications settings
Or simply it theme don't support notifications
Besides the App settings I also looked through Notification and Lock screen settings menu for anything but still doesn't work. I'm using the default theme.
With the P4 I am not getting full notifications on the lock screen, just the icon that the notification is from. I guess this is because of Face unlock (can't just look at the lock screen without the phone unlocking)?
Ahhh, turning off "skip the lock screen" brings back the full notifications.

But they still disappear after a while. How do make the notifications stay permanently?

I assume it's a security setting for notifications, so whenever your phone is unlocked with the face the notifications will show the details, after some time, or after you lock your device again they will disappear.
You need to search under notification or privacy/security settings for that option to either show all notification details on lockscreen or hide sensitive data.
Please let me know if that's what you were looking for.
Also noticed that the clock on the lock screen moves up and down randomly throughout the day. Not sure how to share screenshots here tho
That's to prevent OLED burn-in...
