Hi,
It caught my eye that the new version of Maps is able to sync starred places with Google Bookmarks, yet the stock browser cannot do it and forces me to create all the bookmarks again after every wipe.
Do you guys know if there is a workaround to be able to sync these bookmarks?
Use Dolphin Browser and sync with your Google Bookmarks.
MyBookmarks in the market.... couldn't be easier!

Either download Bookmark Backup & Restore from Market, or go into your settings and allow Google to backup all your settings. That includes bookmarks.
Well, those apps seem to just backup bookmarks on the phone. I would like to bookmark a page on the computer and access it on the phone, or vice versa.

Ah, I see.. well that functionality isn't available as yet, but you'll be happy to hear that Google is working on the ability to synch bookmarks between your Android phone and Chrome. It's just a matter of time.

That's excellent news! Is there a link where I can read more about the issue?

IIRC, Eric Tseng or that Rubin guy mentioned this in an interview. Can't link you because I can't remember exactly who said it and on which site it appeared. But I definitely remember they're working on this. A Google search might yield results for you.

Not sure what you mean by broken. I have it loaded and can browse around without issue although it is clearly not designed for tablets. I have also not posted anything using the app but can verify that it does install and can browse without a problem.
Won't Sync
I cannot get Facebook to sync. Anyone else have this problem? Application seems to work otherwise.

What do you mean by sync? Like the phone, add it to Accounts and Sync in the tablet settings? It is not showing for me here as it does on my phone. I do not think that will work until we get a Honeycomb version.
EDIT: Actually it does show when trying to "add account" but does nothing.
I can't use the FB widget. It's FCs on me when I drag it over to a screen.
As for FB/Google integration... there appears to be a fight between Facebook and Google. I guess Google patched up some type of exploit that FB was using to merge/link contacts. It's fine for HTC, TouchWiz, MotoBlur... but not with a direct Google experience device.
Just search Google for more info on this. I read only a paragraph or so and got bored of the politics behind it.
If I remember correctly, facebook is now blocking google from exporting numbers/pictures status's.
This was on the news somewhere

It still works on my Samsung Captivate though.
Same as others.. Can load the app and use it however trying to add an account to sych friends, as I've done on my D1 Droid, it blinks then does nothing. After doing this I've found occasionally the actual app then crashes, even with reboot, and must be re-installed to get it back.
I'm sure a native Honeycomb version will arrive in due time.. For now I'm just using TweetDeck which works great for various accounts including: Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, etc.

It seems one cannot be able to attach files as attachment in web browser like chrome or default android browser unless user configures their g mail application in Note II. I had this problem, now it got rectified. Very weird bug

Do you mind explaining which is that configuration in the Gmail?.
Gmail is always being tweaked
Nothing to explain much. It is simple. Actually i do not have Google account to configure in gmail. But i have my yahoo account that is tied up with Google so that i can use for Play store. But i cant use that yahoo account for gmail. The service centre representative asked me to create a gmail account and configure the same in Gmail application. Then my issue gets resolved.

Simple, configure your actual gmail in your Gmail application, then everything will be fine.

Hi,
How do u sync with bookmarksb, i don't see any option to restore bookmarks
thanks in advance
This is crazy you buy a phone from almost €700 and you can not synchronized your internet bookmarks.
I try again with my note2 and no problem. So it must be something with the phone i think.
I think it's only work with the chrome browser. But i dont want to used the chrome browser.

It's sad. The S4 i9500 came with the standard browser and Google Chrome. Chrome syncs bookmarks fine, but no options to sync with standard browser.. And it's a shame because Samsung air gestures only work on the standard browser (and the scrolling surprisingly is pretty useful)
Can anyone help with this? Sync Google bookmarks, or will chrome be updated for gestures?
Cheers
Also looking for a solution to this :|

+1 this is driving me mad!
I swear I found an option to sync bookmarks (somewhere in menu) with google account when I bought the phone 4 weeks ago, though unsuccessful, but probably after an OTA update i couldn't find that option anymore! Maybe google did it in purpose to prevent further syncing with the stock browser, all in order to use chrome browser only. What you think about it? I had S2 before the S4 and there was no problem syncing at all.
S4 stock browser does not sign in and syncronise bookmark
I have both the s2 and the s4.
with the s2 I get all the bookmarks in the stock browser.
I have more gmail accounts and I get all the different accounts.
With s4 nothing. ...
Shouldn't they improve with new versions of the phones?!!!!
Same to me on my s2 i was able to restore them on my browser now not anymore
any resolution on this yet?
Anyone found a solution?

The one that is working for me.
On all my other devices, in the stock android browser I have a bookmarks folder that is tied to my gmail account that always seems to show up. I am not getting this on my new s4. Any ideas how to get this? (without using Chrome)

Try Dolphin browser, you can sync bookmarks from within the browser by signing in to Google.

Yeah. I know that Dolphin can do this, but in this case I am wondering why the stock browser doesn't function the same as all of my other Android devices.

Because it is not an android stock browser. It is Sbrowser a modified version by samsung. no way to sync with your Google account. I had to save my bookmarks manually. Sucks. Other than that you would have to use chrome.
