I have had the Nexus 4 for 3 days.
4 hours ago it started rebooting all the time.
Every 5 seconds it was rebooting until I finally could do a factory reset.
The factory reset didn't work in the boot loader because I just got a little android picture with a text under it which said: "No Command"
Now my phone is working again and doesn't reboot anymore but if I try to get into the recovery mode it still shows just the little android logo with the text "No Command"
There isn't a menu to choose a factory reset.

See picture above!
Is the mobile defect?

Could also someone tell me what that Reboot loop was?
Is that a software or a hardware mistake?

my phones dutch, so it says "geen opdracht" below the android laying on its back, meaning "no assignment" roughly translated, any ideas?
That's what happens when you try what I said? Or that's just what the initial screen says.

these are the steps i do
- phone's off
- pressing hardware buttons to get into bootloader selection screen
- choosing recovery with volume buttons
- press power to choose recovery
- google logo appears, android laying on its back appears, 2 seconds later, it says "geen opdracht" translated "no assignment" below.
And have you tried holding down the volume up button, and then pressing the power button? That should bring you to the actual recovery menu.

at the the android laying down, hold power and press volume up. in english, the text says 'no command' if i remember correctly.
Have you messed around with your recovery at all? What's your current ROM and kernel? You may have messed up your recovery image somehow.
Also, does that text only show up after pressing volume up and the power button or does it exist already when the picture of the Android shows up?

No, i have not messed arround with my rom or whatever, everything is stock, as it was out of the box.

Just got the 4.3 update this morning and the first thing I noticed is that the WiFi is having issues. It says its connected to my network but i get no traffic. I have rebooted the router and N7 and it helps for a few minutes but if the tab goes to sleep it will not reconnect. Everything I have read on other sites say its a known problem that Google knows about but this is a really annoying issue. Are their any fixes out there? I have a non- rooted N7 but I will root it immediately if there is a fix.

Called Google Support 1-855-836-3987 (855-83-NEXUS) and this is what they had me do.
Hello Kerry,
Thank you for contacting Google Play! It was a pleasure speaking to you today.
1. Hold power button for 2 seconds and select 'Power Off'
2. Hold 'Volume Down' button and press power button
3. An image of an Android lying on its back will appear.
4. Press the Volume Down key twice until "Recovery mode" appears on the screen.
5. Press the Power key to restart in "Recovery mode."
6. An image of an Android with a red triangle will appear.
7. While holding down the Power key, tap the Volume Up key.
8. The Android System Recovery screen will appear. Release all keys.
9. Use the Volume keys to scroll to wipe data cache partition and press the Power key to select.
10. The phone will restart.
Seems to have done the trick so far but I will update after a day or so if needed.

I guess you never had this issue again?
Thanks!
Long press power button no longer works for us on the S5 to shutdown or reset the phone.
What to do if you're stuck in a bootloop and need to soft reset so you can get into recovery:
To get into recovery:
Long press power + volume down reboots the phone.
Wait for it to vibrate and immediately switch to volume up + keep holding power + home key.
Once you see 'Recovery Booting' (in dark blue, top left) release the keys.
To get into download mode:
Wait for it to vibrate and immediately press the home key + keep holding power + keep holding volume down.
Timing is a little critical but at least I don't have to pull the battery every time I get stuck testing something and want to get into recovery to fix it.
Ty sir, good to no.

Thanks for this!
I actually just had this problem and had to phone a friend (switched to the S5 this weekend and ran into a boot loop problem while doing some of my final restorations... it's the reason they're last!).
Didn't do this exact thing as I had ended up pulling the battery out when the Power - Volume Up - Home combo hadn't been working for me. If it happens again, I know this is here!
I flashed the 5.0 OTA update, and everything went smoothly. Lollipop is working well, but I was going to flash the incremental updates so I can have 5.0.1.
Everything works until I try the button combo to get recovery to start. I press VOL DOWN + Power, get into fastboot mode, boot into recovery and I can see the Android with red triangle. However, when I press VOL DOWN + VOL UP and then tap the Power button, nothing happens.
Any advice?
It takes a couple times of pressing power volume up

I've tried it multiple times, but the options still don't come up.
EDIT: Nevermind, I had to wait for a couple minutes and then I button mashed it and the options finally came up. Thanks!
I observed the same thing. Its a crapshoot... Looks like a bug in lollipop.
The button combination changed on Lollipop.
Hold the power button 4-5 secs and tap the volume up button.
Hit thanks

For KitKat recovery, the button sequence is: hold down UP and then press POWER
For Lollipop recovery, the button sequence is: hold down POWER and then press UP
I have update my Nokia 6 to Android 9.0 but its stuck on the Nokia logo. Is there a way to recover from bootloop without hard reset? I have no experience in flashing and do not understand most of the terminologies used, so please treat me as a beginner.

No unfortunately. I have some really important data and do not want to factory reset the phone.

If you want to reach recovery mode and reset your phone follow these steps:
1. Make sure the phone is powered off. If it isn't, press and hold the volume up button and the power button until the screen closes. then release your hold.
2. Connect the phone to the charger and wait till you see the charging screen (a big battery icon with a percentage).
3. Press and hold the volume up button and the power button for exactly 10 seconds and release. After 2-5 seconds you should see a new screen with an android saying "no command". If you don't see the new screen you either released too early or too late. repeat steps 1-3.
4. Hold the power button and press the volume button once. and release. This should take you to recovery mode.
5. Scroll using the volume buttons and select factory reset using the power button and confirm.
This would reset yout phone.
