Hi everyone.
I need to make the current audio player to skip to next or previous song programmatically.
I thought RemoteControlClient was made for this, but after a little research, it seems it's not for that. Can anyone confirm?
If it's not as I suspect, anyone has a reliable method to skip songs? I tried sending remote media keys with SendKey but it won't work for all players or for all Android versions...
Thank you!

Hi,
maybe someone can help me.
My problem with the MS Media player build in in Windows Mobile 5.0 is, that it does not save the last played file or album from Media Database.
I always have to reselect a song from db, when I restart the media player. Is there some registry tweak like "save last played file" or "save last position in Media Lib"?
Thanks so far
This is a pain. I have some audio books in MP3 format that I listen to. When I pause it and leave it for a while, when I come back it's forgotten which file it was playing which means I have to remember the name of the file and where it was in the file.
Can someone recommend a fix for this or a new MP3 player that will remember track (and position)
Thanks
This is an issue, but I also find the problem on the PC version. if somebody could tell me how to make the PC and PPC version remember the last played song would be great.
bump...
does somebody, anybody, anywhere know how to solve this?
GS Player is great in all respects, including this, but it is frustrating that something so simple and so blatantly obviously required hasnt been implemented.
I'm using the TF3D Audio tab to play music. Works pretty well, but a load of my albums have track ordering screwed: track 1 and track 5/6/7 are reversed. Tried deleting the library and resetting, retagging my songs - no help. Anyone else seeing this? Any ideas how to fix song order?
No-one else has this problem?

Hi Rick,
I also have this problem. It's always track 1 that is swapped with track 5, 6 or 7 as you describe.
I've checked all throught the tags on the WMA files for the albums i've installed and they are perfect. Looking at the other details there seems no reason why the tracks have swapped around in the order.
Anybody got any ideas, cus I'm at a loss to see why?
I don't really want to get into having to create a playlist for every album just so the tracks are in the right order!
Any help much appreciated
cheers, Jimmy
Thanks Jimmy, can't find any solution though, and doesn't seem like many have this issue. Back to Pocket Player I guess!
how are you putting the songs onto your hd? active sync or fiel transfer?
when i used active synce i found a lot of the artists and song titles missing in touch flo. when i file transfered stuff manually into the music folder everything came up as it should
Had this too with 2 of my albums, then it hit me: they were the only two albums with wma files, so I converted to mp3 and now it's all ok.
I have this problem with tracks from iTunes (m4a). For me it's usually track one and seven that are swapped around, but sometimes things are even more muddled. I can't actually work out how the order is derived. It's not by file size, file name or date created. Really weird.
As mentioned above, if you load MP3 files then files are listed in track order. This has been driving me bonkers. I wonder if newer versions of the TouchFlo Audio manager still have this problem. Anyone able to confirm? (I'm making the assumption that it is the HTC audiomanager that is playing the music files behind the scenes, but I don't even know if this is the case. Must put Task Manager on my phone and see what's running!) .
Me too...
Same issue here... any bright spark out there capable of working out a fix (prefer not to use MP3 due to file size issues...)
I currently have 2 players in my HD
1. Windows media player - when update library, it keeps adding all the sounds from different programs on my SD card to the library. BUT it works with my bluetooth headphone (Sony DR-BT21G)
2. Pocket player - Doesn't have the library problem BUT doesn't recognire the bluetooth headphone commands.
Could anyone help me solve these problems please? Or just either of them is great.
Thanks
pls help :-s...i thought this should be a very common thing with other users?
Anyone help please? Or at least anyone who have the same problem? AM I the only one who has this problem?
i have same issue with media plauer,
every time i sync with pc, i get music files allover the place....annoying as hell
Use Touch FLO standard player. It is perfect for me.
Works with my motorola s9 blueooth stereo heaphones with all commands.
Or create playlist on your WMplayer.
Up to you.
I would recommend tflow 3d music player tab
how can i create a playlist for the phone from my pc? or how do i select multiple files at the sametime on my touch hd in the library?
thanks
Hi there!
I've a huge problem with the music player on the hd2. It stops after EVERY song. I alsways have to turn on the phone and manually hit play or next to play the next sond. That's quite annoying!
It doesn't matter if I select an album, a playlist or whatver. Even if I turn on repeat-mode, the sond is only played once.
Anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?
I noticed the same thing, and I already updated to 1.48...
There's a partial solution anyway: if you don't press the power off button to activate the stand by mode, but instead if you let stand by mode to activate by itself, it works correctly.

I've had the same thing happen when I let standby mode activate itself, also have an issue where the MP3s stutter, small 1 second breaks in the music.
Few people use the embedded mp3 player coz it's bad and very slow, especially when you have a massive library.
You should try another player: Kinoma (freeplay is free), CorePlayer, Nitrogen (free), etc...
err, starting an extra application for that doesn't sound very attractive to me. Actually I like the fact that this is integrated into sense.
Regarding the speed: I've ~10 GB of music. The HTC player handles them very well
After i read this, i tested it on my device.
The first time the player stopes after the first track,
but if you press play again and you come to the end, then it switch to the next track without a problem and play it.
regards
I have the repeat button on and it doesnt' stop!! And the built in mp3 player is better than WMP because it actually shows chinese characters properly for me... And the interface looks nice...
I noticed the music player in htc sense only looks at the music folder on the storage card, is there any way to add more folders of music or must I insert all my music there and it will automatically be "synced" every time a new song/folder of songs is added?
On mine, the HTC music player looks for all audio files on both the storage card and the phone itself (anywhere in 'My Documents'). It even picks up ring tones I've added and the 'sample' music on the phone. So, I'm not sure if this is a setting of some kind, but mine seems to do what you want, and your's seems to do what I want.
same as you
I have the exactly same problem my friend nd it's irritating. For now, the only solution I have is the use of bluethoot earphones where I can skip the music on it, but as soon as I put classic earphones it does the same problem. I'm gonna try another player I think. it's a pity because HTC player is starting to become gorgeous
track order
Has anyone noticed track order problems. I've started a thread on this. It's really doing my head in.
Same track order problem here. Posted it to HTC-support, they have no solution. Every other player doesn't have this problem.
Hey everyone.
iv been scouring the web for the answer for this and it doesnt seem to be a problem anywhere else or for anyone else!
basically, if i press the play/pause/answer call button on the supplied headphones remote control windows media player automatically starts, even if i already have nitrogen or any other media player running. is there any other way of stopping this? or getting rid of WMP all together? or failing either of those, changing the default button auto start application to, say, nitrogen?
have looked for reg fixes/app/tweaks anything and still no go.
anyone know anything that will help/stop this behaviour?
Thanks in advance.
No-one else is having this problem or wants to change this irritating feature??
You can solve this problem with Conduit Pocket Player.
