Stuck in a boot loop - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My nexus 4 is stuck in a boot loop and I'm not sure what to do. It has also changed to wallpaper on me. Every 3 or 4 cycles I can key in my code but then back to the Google logo and then the glowing X.
Anyone else had the same??

hold power for 10 sec so that it goes off. hold power and vol down until it vibrates. dial in 'recovery' with the volume buttons and hit power. then do a factory reset.

Anything in particular cause it to go into bootloop in the first place?

Volume rockers won't work sometimes

Hey guys,
First of all, this isn't a big issue Im just curious if im the only one having this.
So, sometimes when I press the volume rockers to adjust the volume(no **** sherlock) they won't work.
I keep pressing them but nothing shows up on the screen, after waiting for a while and pressing them again they will work.
Am I the only one with this issue?

To get into recovery..??

Okay so here's the deal...everywhere I read, the way to get into the bootloader was to press both the volm buttons and power button... But strangely on my device I get into BL by pressing only the volm - and power button....so wats the deal here ??...any explanation anybody??

That's the normal way on our nexus devices. Pressing volume down (vol -) and power to boot into bootloader
