I have a Nexus 4 running PA 3.15, I love PA, but I get random reboots every few hours.
I rooted this phone and the only thing I flashed was PA. So it was a clean install. I tried factory resetting the phone and doing another clean install and the rebooting still exists.
I am not using an custom kernel, maybe flashing one would help my situation. I am at a crossroads, because PA and it's pie feature are amazing, but the rebooting is making me want to leave.
Any ideas on how to fix it?
Download it one more time then gapps. Wipe everything, flash PA, flash gapps wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache. It must work. Other apps install manually.
If it's using superuser, try disabling it and use supersu instead.
i found some apps hate superuser and strange stuff happens.
I will try using supersu and see what happens. Thanks.

I was also having the same problem, my phone sometimes get really hot and it keeps on rebooting. I tried flashing the stock ROM, new kernel everything I could but the problem still persisted. So I called up Google Customer care, as soon as I told them overheating and rebooting, they transferred my call to RMA and they replaced my phone. My phone was 5 months old and recently many people are having this problem, so its better to get it replaced. Before sending it, reflash the phone with Stock ROM and lock the bootloader. You should be fine

Hey I installed Liquidsmooth 2.7 yesterday and it kept rebooting. I tried flashing back to CM 10.1 RC5 because it wasn't doing that before. Again it kept rebooting. It reboots like every 30 secs. It's always a quick reboot as well. I flashed back to stock and locked the bootloader but nothing seems to fix it. Does anyone know how to fix this?
yes , install sabermod rom and trinity kernel . enjoy

try the following:
wipe all caches, data & system
install ROM (i recommend SentinelROM 4.8 - it's very fast & stable)
install gapps (if needed)
wipe aigain all caches
reboot system
I tried that, I restored stock and locked the boot loader, I tried to root it again and nothing worked. I contacted Google and I'm getting it replaced. Thanks for the advice though

My N4 doesn't seem to pass the Google Screen. I flashed a new rom because for some reason I stopped receiving messages but could make phone calls. I was on PAC now I tried to flash Revolt 4.4 but now it will not pass the Google Screen. Also, I am on twrp if that helps. I have used normal wipe. then advanced wiping the system, cache, data. Anyone know how to fix this?
-Thanks !

When you say normal wipe, do you mean wipe data/factory reset? If you haven't tried that, try it then flash a new ROM and then gapps. If your problem still persists then you would probably have to revert to stock ROM (factory image)
You may have gotten a bad download of the ROM, or some other problem with the zip. If you still have the zip of your last ROM (always a good idea until you know the new one boots), then try flashing it. If not, as suggested above, revert to stock and start over.

With factory image will my phone be completly erased?
And I mean with when you go to twrp recvoery the normal wipe. Not Factory Reset the standard wipe data and cache.
Fixed it.
Kind of bummed out right now. It seems TWRP recovery was bugged somehow. It didn't let me wipe anything at all. even when it said it did which is odd. I had to perform a factory reset. I'm glad about the phone now booting up. Just a little bummed out all those pics I took on the 4th of July are gone.
Hey guys, let me start off by telling you I was running stock 12b rooted with the 1.5 Furnace kernel. Been running that for 2 weeks solid, no problems. I added 2 Xposed modules last night, swiftkey something and the one to remove the "full battery notification". I rebooted last after enabling them and the phone was fine. Charged phone last night, took it off charger (working fine) and decided to reboot it. Big mistake! It just bootlooped. It would start for 10 seconds, no wifi no data and then restart. I honestly did nothing......
I got into recovery and tried to restore my nandroid backup but same issue. Right now I am flashing 12b from the LG Flash Tool. Will that fix it? Is there another way?
Thanks for all your expertise
Tried to use the LG Flash Tool and it didn't work. Anyone got any ideas how to get my phone to stay working? It boots, for 10 seconds then reboots
If you think it's something to do with xposed why not flash the xposed disabler zip in recovery? Also have you tried a simple wipe of cache and dalvik?

I finally got the Flash tool to work and got 11a loaded on. So now I am fully stock and unrooted. But, the phone keeps rebooting. Doesn't make any sense. Anyone have any ideas?

you ned to clear cash on stock you can only do that by do a factory hard reset.

I have a similar problem when restart the phone gets in bootloop. when the phone is operating normally burst without rebooting or any other problems. I'm all factory on it's still 802 10b and does not offer me the option to update the phone. I think it's a software error I have a warranty but I can not wait 30 days to fix my phone
I hope you understand this is a google translate

Any luck fixing this? I Have the exact same issue with my ls980(Sprint Variant). I've flashed multiple roms, kernels, and radios with no luck. Used LG Flash tool and it always fails at 94%( when it reboots the phone). However, my phone does say unrooted afterwards. I've also tried wiping all data/ factory reset. No luck.... The phone comes on and doesn't recognize any touch for a long time. Finally, it unlocks, and reboots minutes later. No apps or widgets work. The phone only stays on for so long because I turned on the stay always awake option in developer options. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, I did not find a solution. Amazingly, the only rom that would load was Madallus so that is what I am running. You could try that and see if it will load.
Hi All,
I'm having an issue with my G2. I've been running the CM11 nightlies for a while now, they've been pretty decent.
I decided to flash the newest Snapshot today when I saw it pop up on my update list. As soon as I booted, I got the error "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped".
This happened yesterday, so I booted into recovery, cleared cash, reinstalled the rom, cleared cache again, reinstalled gapps, cleared cache again, and it worked. Now I'm not getting so lucky. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I'm really hoping this isn't going to be an issue with every CM nightly moving forward.
The best solution I could find seems to be specific to HTC phones, which involves reinstalling the boot.img. I don't think that applies to us, but if it does, how can I do that.
Thanks for your help.

You've done a clean flash? Meaning you wiped Dalvik, Cache, System, Factory reset? I usually erase twice and then install CM and then GAPPS then restart the phone (Don't install custom kernel) some custom kernels are having trouble because looks like they updates some things in their kernels.

Thank you.
After some more digging, I had the idea to check the development thread of the CM ROM here. Apparently, a few other users have had the same issue.
It turns out, the newest version of CM needs to be cleanly installed, a dirty flash won't work. I just did a wipe and it's now downloading all my apps and reinstalling.
*sigh* such a pain, but whatever. Could be worse.

Yeah it can be such a pain, I flashed nightlies when they sounded like they fixed an important issue (it'd be every other day) and I flashed clean all the time. Now im just going to stick to CM11 M4 until the next milestone.
try changin network type to GLOBAL.
I got a question guys, i flashed the latest version PA for our device (PA4.5 beta 2) and notice i was having random reboots, i thought it was the rom, so i flashed CM latest nightly (2014815) & still was having reboots, so i figured it had to be an apk not playing nice & thought i was right when i noticed it was happening the most while using chrome, but it happened during the settings and some other apks, its not constant though, it very random, its like when you stay on an apk for a while, it just randomly reboots, anyone else been having this issue? or had this issue?, i both like two great theses for these roms & would feel like a fool if i cant use em lol, so any help would be appreciated, thanks
Are you wiping between flashes or dirty flashing?
If flashing clean, restore your apps (without data backups) one at a time. If you stop having the issue, then restore your app data one at a time.
If that doesn't fix it and you're flashing clean, going back to stock and doing a factory reset will almost certainly solve the issue.
