if you use eclipse there is a little button in the upper left box in the android view to take screen shots.... but you have to have the SDK and eclipse installed

Sorry, Post the link please

First, u need 2 have a rooted g1. Doesn't matter wat version. U just need root. Then download an application called screenshot...it doesn't work unless you have root...that's all u need. I use it all the time...the app is in the market right now as well if u wanna see it. im on my g1 now so i cant upload pics of the screenshots. ill do it later tho...do u know how to root ur g1 or done it already??

ok ive explained the same thing he just explained above. root r g1...then the app is all u need...its ok, ppl make mistakes and miss things. but this thread has been done. lol. so nexttime just try and read the first few pages of a main thread..like a sticky. and u will b on ur way ps, if u need help with root access, ill help gladly. ashabanf8 is my googletalk

for me , no doubt its working superfine , swear even i don't have to wait my location whenever i open the map my location pop up .. ... 1st time i used the navigation yesterday and i didn't lose =D ..

If you guys already upgraded your froyo 2.2 to gingerbread 2.3.3 you don't need this gps fix or fix etc. And also try to update your maps. The latest is map 5.4 i think gps fix already to this version. Or 5.3 as well.

as my signature saying that am using gingerbread . so u should know that gps is not fixed on it , sometimes its given me somewhere else near to my home ? my location always far a little of the right location am at .
GPS is Sucks both in froyo and gingerbread .

You do realize that there is another Thread all about fixing gps on the tab, your lucky I'm not mod.

All this dude has done since starting to use this forum is create uneeded threads, mostly just re-posting sections of guides, some topcis have been deleted/closed. And now he starting to post "app" topics in the "General" section

[SOLVED]Alternative way to access Recovery without pressing (hold) Power Button??

My power button is showing symptom of Dying anytime soon. without having to risk an unresponsive screen after a press on power button, Im looking for another route to access Recovery WITHOUT having to long press the POWER button..

if you use clk instead of magldr, you can enter recovery using rom manager (i think? never used it myself)
dont try rom manager from magldr, it will destroy your recovery install.

if you download terminal emulator from the market and type:
SU (enter)
reboot recovery (enter)
it will also work.
But i believe you must need root access. cause you will get "operation not permitted" if you arent
Secondly, there is always ADB. If you are on windows its easy as pie to set up. just look here and then type "adb reboot recovery" and that will work as well. good luck!

Or.. if you are on MAGLDR... set it to always show the menu on boot... the option is somewhere in the MAGLDR "services" menu...

Yup that actually works! The only downside was need to input selection everytime i reboot the phone. But that's better than having to risk the power button failure!

There's no need to be rude. First of all, he clearly helps people judging by the fact that he has OVER 800 THANKS. You can hardly do that without being either a recognised dev or someone who really knows their stuff and contributes. You clearly don't understand what trolling is judging by your last post, and have you ever thought of the simple explanation that he came to the thread to give that specific advice, saw samsamuel's post and just decided to confirm that what he said would work? To my knowledge OVER 800 THANKS user doesn't have any privileges to be on top of anyone and simply replied "what he said lol" without even trying to help. Now that really doesn't make any sense and with your common sense, I supposed that you are clearly understand the situation before you trying to help someone.

Anyway, flight has been cancel due to my other half's passport was not within validity period. Sad but I cant just leave her alone while im having fun at the other side. There will be another day.

my friends went to aruba last month
and before they left they had problems with the passports and almost
didnt make thier flight

and a little friendly advice
add what rom you are using and wether its magldr or clk in your signature
that way help comes faster cause then we know which direction to go with

Sure no problem. But the recent HWA news makes me keep switching roms to test on. The latest one will be Tytung's CM9 HWA enable. Do check that out.

Think about it this way, people often will reply to a solution which they have tried with '+1 to this', showing that they have tried it and it works. Same goes for 'what he said lol', it shows you that that solution works. I never said that having 800+ thanks makes you better than someone, but it most certainly shows that a person is probably worthy of posting in the forums, and that they probably know what they're doing.
Anyway, glad to see you got your problem sorted out, and I realise I'm a bit behind here replying to an older post, but I just thought I should make myself clear as well

EDIT: Yeah that was quite harsh - I'm currently using PACman, it's quite good, but the best way is to try out ROMs yourself.

i'm using PACMAN JB 4.1.2 and really pleased with it.
I think the way to get the most from your battery is primarily turn that screen brightness down!
Then be conservative with CPU settings.
Finally only turn on WIFI when you need to use it.
I get 2 days out of my HD2 like this.

The concept best rom is subjective. The battery life depends on the main use you give to your device: games, social, calls, gps, etc. What is best for myself may be not so good for you. So far every rom is good, because has been developed/ported free for each of us to enjoy. Hey everyone,
I am planning to make a tutorial for voxis setup by coldfustion. Voxis will make your phone look WOW!! I saw video of this guy Coldfustion on youtube..He's just awesome! Not sure if he's on xda too. Search for voxis setup by Coldfustion on youtube..
The main profit of this thread will be other member's creation and innovation work..i.e.everyone will suggest a new idea. I designed a new custom widget for my phone that looks pretty awesome So every member can share their work/idea here. Please note that a video tutorial is there on youtube by coldfustion itself.. the main purpose of this thread will be that every member can share their ideas and innovations. My phone is far more beautiful than my friends Note2.
So if its useful than I will create a noob guide for this setup with all requirements and apps needed for it.. since there are many members here who likes trolling other members, I thought it will be good to ask u people first. Or else my whole effort and time will be ruined by some kind of trolling and nasty comments.

Themer app gives u pre designed themes which are designed by themers..whereas in voxis, everthing is user defined (from widgets to icons)..u can customize the way u want

Really don't know what theme apps u talking about my color screen is full of that stuff u taking about.

Ya I agree..voxis is a homescreen style but didn't knew its available in colorscreen too..It took me whole day to setup that style then the colorscreen came and everything changed!!

Dude u still didn't got me..colorscreen don't give u bunch of customization option..kindly see my attached screenshots..u can notice the difference..some of the things that I did,u can't even imagine to do in colorscreen app.
