if you download you must install it with odin, do not talk about kies.
so do not think it's a thread for original android ....
however, if the moderator may want to move the thread:good:

Any main change in comparing with LSZ?
What about lockscreen shortcut with DBT csc code; is it enabled or need to change csc code to other than DBT?

Ok, I will check, but I have to root it before I think, I've tried it with *#272*IMEI# but it doesn't do the trick. Will post soon.
EDIT: ****, somehow I was on BTU, I guess this was from an old zai ROM. I rooted it, changed CSC to DBT and now I have to wait.
EDIT: No shortcuts, sorry for wrong info.

downloaded this ,
deodexed, zipaligned etc
added to galactusMOD thread.
seems pretty solid

I've installed the new ROM LT4 using Odin mobile to get root. The base band is LT3. The default CSC is DBT in spite of the fact that my previous ROM CSC is BTU. I've changed the CSC to a value other than DBT, of course it makes a wipe. Map, music, 3G, gallery, storage mass, ... are OK. I'm trying battery rechage.

Installed via kies. Whole process took 25 mins so far haven't noticed any changes from LSZ.
Shame about losing root though:thumbdown:

I flashed with pc odin from formatted internal storage, everything wiped,so I have no idea, how did csc stay from previous ROM.

No, I have no problem with playstore. I downloaded from it titanium backup and few applis, even some had problem according to CSC.

Flashed on my stock note, this update seems to fix the lag and google now works properly. Unsure about battery life.

[Q] How to: Official Update to XXUBMEA?

Hi folks, I wanna update my device to I9505XXUBMEA (for App-to-SD), but don't know how to exactly. I want to do it in the most legal way, without erasing anything (Apps, Data, Settings etc.) on my S4.. So can someone tell & show me the best way how to do this please?
Btw I'm from the Netherlands and got my phone here, so I don't know if I can use or need the Stock Firmware and/or Kernel File from Germany's XXUBMEA update and if it's compatible without bricking my phone or losing data, because I havn't seen any I9505XXUBMEA update for my country yet..
Thank you in advance.

Ohh thank God.. i seriously was doubting now to continue any further, since I would've to Re-apply all setting and download all Apps and Data once again.. :good:
Now, I dont know what the Kernel is used for.. but do I need to get that also? After I have the 1.6 GB sized Stock Firmware (aka ROM right?), I can start installing?
I'm downloading I9505XXUBMF8 (first one on the list, most recent one) than from the Official Rom Collection (Thread).
I've got myself Odin also (File name: AndroidJinn.Com.Odin307, Size: 1,15 MB) like you said. (Please confirm if its the right one)
If it's not to much asked, could you write within a few sentences, the steps on how to get trough the installation and what I need to do before starting, like: do I need to backup anything or does my phone have to be USB plugged to my pc the whole time etc.?

It depends on the service center. Some dont look to csc if it is stock. And some look. Any way you can flash your original firmware back.

Can someone tell me why again XXUBMF8 is better than XXUBMEA?
I mean what are the differences compared to one another,
the only thing I know is that they both support App-2-Sd.
Which is actually ofcourse the most important thing to know,
but what other <better improved> features does the XXUBMF8 (DBT) have than XXUBMEA (DBT)?
And how are overall user experiences with both versions?

Stock roms available

Hey guys, quick question.
1) Are there other roms currently available for the N9005 that are not stock based? (Something closer to stock like CM)
2) If not, where can I get the original rom from Samsung (north america based) without any modifications?
I installed the echo rom and it won't recognize my handwriting and it keeps trying to do mandarin(?). I have changed the all the setting and still get that language, also, in my magazine, all I get is the Asian version of the news even though I set it for the USA.

You can use this app to change your CSC. However, two things.
A. You need to be rooted beyond XXELLA
B. Your selected rom needs to support multi csc
( tried that before but doesn't work as its unrooted and on stock software

It should work, but you need to root if you're on XXELLA or above
Sorry not that much of a techie :silly: what is XXELLA? So it doesn't need to be rooted? Because when i press change CSC it comes up with com.android.preconfig not found on your device and takes me to the dialer with *#272*1759# already punched in?? After ringing that I get Connection problem or invalid MMI code.

It would look like your stock setup doesn't have a multi CSC setup so I'm not sure if you're able to change to BTU

if I am not wrong you need:
(1) be rooted to change the CSC
(2) after that you can use the tool mentioned before and/or flash a BTU rom
or maybe easier:
just flash the newest 4.3 rom version (you can do this without root as well I think)
Flash the latest 4.3 rom for the UK, using odin and following the guide in sticky thread.
Factory reset from recovery, reboot and csc should match the firmware.

I'm pretty sure this method will default the CSC to "KOR"
You want to flash the ELL4 U.K. firmware from the stock firmware thread. Download the S2/S3 CSC changer app from the play store and set the CSC to BTU.
This will factory reset the device, so make sure you have your important files backed up.
Then proceed to flash MK6 4.3. Now everything will match.

If you flash a untouched 4.3 rom thru odin it does not void the warranty. It will read official in Odin. At least on my phone it did. Like they said earlier they should have a uk version floating around somewhere. Otherwise just leave it alone and wait for the update. I hope that helps

You mentioned nogo to 4.3 due to bootloader however i dindt check the bootloader option in odin (see screenshot). Should i tick that as well next time?
Well there is some debate as to if you should check the bootloader or not.
With the leaked Polish firmware it came in seperate files. You needed to check to upgrade the Bootloader.
With the XEO single .zip firmware you don't need to check it as it upgrades automatically - plenty agree with this. -- There is a few people who say that by not checking it, it hasn't upgraded for them and some just recommend you check it for good luck sake.

MEGA is country based per account. So if I upload to my MEGA it comes from a UK Server which is slow to Asia/America etc, trick is to set up your own MEGA account, and then import it from the download MEGA link and it'll switch to a server in your country and you'll get faster download speeds

Flash stock ROM on SAMSUNG Galaxy S20+ 5G Exynos G986B/DSM

Hello everyone,
I'm new here, so please bear with me, and I'm sorry in case this thread is duplicated, but I searched everywhere and I could not find anything about what i'm going to write here.
I got a new galaxy S20+ 5G Exynos phone on 18-May-2020, since then I tried every single online tutorial or thread to flash a stock ROM on my phone, and nothing worked, the flash show pass on odin but it just did factory reset to my phone, that's it.
I used Odin 3.14.1 and Odin3_v3.14.1_3B_PatcheD
I enabled developer options, OEM unlocking and USB debugging
I downloaded the stock firmware from sammobile website.
Now, I understand that my phone CSC code is XSG , and I'm trying to flash the phone with a firmware CSC code is DBT , but i used to do this a lot before.
So, What is the issue exactly?, What I'm doing wrong?, What I did or thought wrong?
The help and guidance are really highly appreciated.
Thank You

But i'm not trying to ROOT my phone, or flash it with a custom ROM or modified images, my phone CSC code is XSG and I'm trying to flash it with an official firmware from sammobile website and its CSC code is DBT.
What should I do?, or What I'm doing wrong?
Thank You

Both dbt and xsg is under omc.

Here's a guide to extract the required csc file and how to put it in your phone and get it to work.
There is also other ways to do it. In fact there is many many many ways of you bothered to search for it using a simple search engine. The method is the same for samsung s8 onwards. There is also countless YouTube videos.
There is even an app that can do it on Google play store that doesn't require root if you bothered to search.

Hello,
First of all, You need to chill out a little man, I'm a Linux Systems Engineer, So I understand and I appreciate everything that everyone is doing in here, and I did not mean to bother anyone or to disrespect anyone.
I did pass across all of these links, and none of them worked with me, also my phone is SM-G986B/DS NOT SM-985F , plus, most of these links are outdated, my phone HW version is March-2020, and these links since 2018.
Sometimes it is OK to say I do not know, because it seems that there is something different in my phone which i do not know what is it.
Thank you
I really appreciate your time trying to help me.

Hello,
This Where I get the firmware --> www.sammobile.com
This is where I got the software to do or change advanced settings on my phone, also has the ability to flash the phone too. --> https://chimeratool.com
Hi @ahmed.elsersi
Did you by any chance try adapting the process on this thread for the S9+? I'm in a similar situation, need to change an XSG phone to TEL or XSA, and considering giving this a try.
Cheers..
Don't waste your money on chimeratool. Use sam key to change the csc, minimum you can buy is 3 credits which i think is about $5 Aud. But it only takes 1credit for a csc change. You can keep the reset of the credit for the future use, if you want to go back to your old Csc.
I changed my TEL ( Telstra Australia)csc which is the slowest carrier to get an update to DBT (one of the first to get an update) and also now my s20ultra has 2 sims and 1 esim option. Happy Happy!
