Ok guys,i have created a new rom Unity 0.0.1,in beta stage and the first release,i need people to download and please give me feedback,i eventually will release this in the rom section,when i make sure its bug free or close anyway.I will add a few examples of what kind of bug report i would like:
1)Is there 4G?
2)Is there FFC,is the video/camera in color,does it tear?Does video record?
3)Does it connect to wifi connect?Does it disconnect after setting it?
4)Does all the tweaks work?
5)Do you get bootloops?
and etc,etc.
Also if you can,please take a logcat for me,thanks.
If you would like to test this beta release,post it on this thread and i will pm you the link,i will only use the first 5 that posts,make sure to post the bugs here.

Thanks guys and its well appreciated,i know things are slow around here now,the poor ole EVO is dying slowly,but we as devs are trying to keep it going for as long as possible.This of course is a private release,because its in beta stage,i will release this to the public,when im sure everything or just about everything works.

Well guys this will take Diablo's customizations to a whole new level. He is no longer changing apk's and little stuff like that. He is learning how to change it on a source level. This can make the rom faster and cleaner than at an apk level plus more things can be added and changed easier. Cant wait to see what he has waiting for us. Keep up the good work and the more you work with source the easier it will get.
If I wouldn't have activated the old evo on my dad's number I'd give it a good run through.

I havent had time to run it yet,im working 14 hours a day,so i jsut wanted someone to test this just to make sure,im adding more teaks and mods to it today and should have it posted on the rom section by tonite.Hows the kernel holding up soo far,im using savaged-zen kernel for this?

Thank You! The "actionbar design" name threw me off.

You do some amazing work! I really enjoy the look and feel of your work, but I'm still not one to do ROM's yet. I am trying to learn the basic's of just getting themes and creating images for the themes before I jump in too deep =)
The reason I originally asked about extracting out the rotary lock as I figured you had built this from source like you did with GummyJAR. I appreciate your quick responses, as I know many devs have a lot going on, and cannot always reply immediately.
If I send you a PM, would you mind answering a few questions for me? I'm trying to jump in to themes, and eventually ROM's, and hopefully be able to give back to the community the same way you have.

Using GJ 2.1 and its fantastic. But what bugs me is the Zoom icon when browsing the web. Pinch to zoom is great. Don't really need the onscreen zoom icon. Its just annoying.

Been running GJ2.1 for about a week now, switched from TranQ 3.6. Just want to thank you for the best ROM I've ever used. What a pleasure to have no random reboots. My DX is now as bulletproof as my Mac, the system will run forever if I don't reboot it.

You could but I have stopped doing that as many others have. The install script will take care of a decent wipe for you. Its really your call.

+1. I still flash to stock, but no longer master clear before new flashes. I'll use it if somethings goes REALLY wrong, but for the most part haven't bothered with MC for a while.

The only problem with the clear button at the bottom of the notifications is that if you have a lot of notifications the clear button is way at the bottom. Nice work though....

On the bottom is more convenient (closer to thumb) most of the time, but other ways have their perks too. Works great on CL3ANTH3ORY. Love the love for those of us who like recent apps in the notification bar. Wide button works full length as expected, nice.

I was going to give a try on MONO, but read a lot of good things about cl3arth3ory. so I flashed cl3arth3ory and install the no clock mod on this ROM and turned out great, didnt mess with battery either.
anyway to get rid of the battery and alarm icon in the status bar with a six bar signal? or that to much

Not really even playing flash videos on android's media player are crap - actually you can't see anything, just voice. Playing flash videos within a browser are fine tho.
they say on the miui thread it could be the kernel, if you got the older imoseyons kernels it might work better

You have to change the permissions in what app your using that requires flash support, that's if your using adobe flash player 11 or higher. Just google it. The same goes with cm7. If you can find a copy of adobe flash 10.2 it will play flash without changing permissions to the apps that require it. Here is a copy I had on my sdcard linked to my dropbox.

yes it has some themes. Just they are a little different to apply. You can try theme chooser in the MIUI like launcher it will have some. The other parts are pretty much CM7 themes
Blue Tooth Issues
This ROM is awesome - been using it since yesterday and really digging it.
I went to pair it with my Jambox this morning and it paired - then unpaired - then locked up and went to the start up animation - kept doing this until I turned BT off.
Also - Pandora is throwing non stop pop up ads and wont play any music - is that from the ad free app?
I have never used any of the ad blocker apps so I wasnt sure.

The pandora issue is unrelated to the ad blocker. Maybe try clearing app data and cache

I tested this rom for few days and liked it a lot.
Few little issues that I came across though:
It would restart when I tried to overclock the CPU at all.
The hotspot wasn't working all that well (I would have to reboot my phone in order for it to try and start again. Sometimes to get it working it would take 5 or 6 tries).
The phone had some random lockups and wasn't as stable as I expected.
Good job though. Keep this up!!!
Flashed Imo lean 5.0 and all is well with BT and pandora.

anytime - couple of minor bugs but thats all understanable - will have to spend some dedicated time and let the dev know...

Flashed and running it , VERY customisable ....even more than a standard AOKP build. Apex launcher as default with a landscape dock as standard.
Loving it so far ! Lil bit buggy but still usable. ( Icons , wallpaper and widgets not in the ROM )

My Initial Thoughts
Well I'm extremely annoyed - I was promised a few bugs (OP) and there are none! Drat! I wiped everything within an inch of it's life, then flashed the ROM followed by inverted gapps. I have not had one force close, no burps, no screen flicker, nada, nothing bad in 6 hours of heavy running.
This ROM is as smooth as , well, teflon - easily the equal of any CM10 I have tried. I noted with pleasure the toggles and particularly the "put the screen to sleep toggle" (I like to save mechanical switches whenever possible) and I can never understand why other devs don't include this very simple toggle.
Truth is, I will be using this as my DD on my GTP3113 - I'm not sure that any significant improvement is warranted.

I'll be sure to pass this over to the dev - I flashed this morning, tinkered with some settings, etc. Haven't tried the inverted apps nor tried to drop Jonsels awesome kernel on it - wanted to let the dev know if anything came across this forum, I'd be more than happy to relay over to him, etc.

The camera is borked - I think this true for CM10 generally (no way to exit app) so I d/l'd Camera JB+ and will use that. Only issue so far.

camera's working fine for me
This rom is really nice. I flashed the inverted gapps and after several hours of steady use I haven't even had a stutter. Kangorade was the very first rom I flashed on this tab and this is the only one I've used since with this many features. Amazing job guys. Best alpha ever...

Only major issue I had when I first flashed it was, Superuser was having problems allowing permissions and it froze up once or twice and had to do a hard reboot.But it seems to have settled in now and is playing nice. Froze up a few times initially when using some apps as well Maybe it was a bad flash from AOKP ? who knows ....
Really Impressed with it so far , nice to mess about with and customise that little bit more than you can with AOKP. Pretty cool you can edit build.props ( even though i use Rom Toolbox to do it , but a good feature to have none the less).Themes work well on the ROM.
Apex in landscape is a blessing !!!! Customisable settings menu as well . For the first build its pretty damn good , will be my ROM of choice that's for sure.Cant wait for the next builds to be released.
Only thing that i can fault is when you install an app and the icon is added automatically to your home page it seems to be cut off at the bottom , but deleting the icon and adding it from the app drawer again remedies that problem ( anyone else have that ?) Not sure it that's a problem with Apex as I'm using a theme on it with custom Icons.
On the navigation bar when you add new icons they show as "reflected " in the selection menu but don't seem to work in reality , but I'm making some new ones that you can add pretty much exactly the same as the ones in the ROM with a reflection, anyone wants them send me PM and i will send them over.Got a few more to do but wont take that long.
Apart from that its a sweet ROM ! Loving it big time

You're always left out on these. I was flashing 3100s on my 3113 but obviously mine has no phone function :silly:
I'm digging this so far. Can't seem to find anything wrong except for getting the screen to rotate when using trebuchet. Besides that all is hunky doory. Thanks! :thumbup:
