[Q] Confused

HI ALL!!!! I'M NEW
I'm just confused about what to do. i have a wildfire and i want to cancel some application and totally disable htc sense. To do this , need i to use unrevoked to have root on my phone ??
i'm no an expert but i think about yes. anyway i'm in trouble , i read on this forum that unrevoked 3.22 has a problem . a bug for the led .
now i'm just afraid to root due to this problem.
what i got to do ???!!!

Well, you want to remove some apps and to get rid of sense, right
You can install a custom ROM like Cyanogen or OpenFire, that are based on AOSP Android sources, meaning that they are pure Android, no HTC apps or Sense.
Be careful, they still have bugs, check each topic to see what are those bugs.
Also, you can donate to MoDaCo forum and get access to the kitchen and add/remove the apps you don`t want and flash that ROM. - I`ve tried it, and it`s ok, BUT YOU CAN`T REMOVE SENSE.
Or you can just go to settings, applications, manage application, search for HTC Sense and tap on clear defaults. Then press the home button and you can choose the default android launcher.
In order to install custom roms you need to root with Unrevok3d. It`s not hard, you just need to read this twice: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824396
The clockwork mod recovery has the bug with the led light only when you recharge the phone while it`s off (completely off, not just the screen.) It shouldn`t bother many people. Hell, I`m don`t eve care about it.
Be careful , by doing this you void your warranty, but if you flash a RUU file you get back the stock rom and loose root and recovery and can use the warranty. - I`m not that sure about this, it`s just what I`ve heard.

so if i root without installin clockwork recovery i will not have the led problem ???

Rooting with unrevoked installs clockwork. You need clockwork to flash custom roms. And lol the bug is useless, I charge my phone when its on anyway.

done. rooted,installed custom rom cyanogen 6.1 , play one day and in the end unroot and returned to the beginning XD
i'll wait for a custom rom with ginbread , for froyo i'll wait the offcial ota XD

or you can install a 3rd party home app, like LauncherPro ... etc

which will "disable" Sense .. when you set by default the other home screen
..and second ... you can install a "task killer" which will kill or "cancel" that apps what you wants
so in this way you don't need to do any rooting, or using a custom rom
this is a possible opportunity, i think

p.s. but a custom rom, like cyangenmod is a better choice

this is what i'm doing now. 2.2 official with launcher pro XD i don't think htc will relase gringerbread, so , now i've got the skills to can take it with a possible future rom XD

you can just go into menu > settings > applications > htc sense then "clear defaults" unless youre using FroYo

long press back button to kill

I know that some roms got that feature that you can kill apps by long press back button. Is there any way to install this hack/mod on the stock rooted 2.2 sense rom? I dont really wanna use a new rom because im so happy with that one.

Edit: Sorry i just see that is not compatible with Froyo 2.2, my bad...

i think it is from gingerbread
also some launcher have that option. but it wont work.

MIUI has that option build in, so if you want to port it, get it from there.

How can i port that? I'm a total noob on that stuff ^^

nobody know ? c'mon there must be somebody who know's how to instal or where to get apk - keyboard from sense 4...

Mostly, sense stuff do not work on non sense roms. Nobody wants to hurt your feelings

If you don't like it, the apk for the original keyboard isn't that hard to find. You can try and see if it works right out of the box.

[Q] Can I add more Languages to Verizon LG G2 ?

I'm trying to get this phone but im not sure what languages its support and how to add more languages if its not support the language im looking for?
I did it on Samsung gs4 AT&T this way and its worked great.. just root it and navigate to /system/csc
Delete or rename “language.xml” reboot it.. and all the list of the languages showed up.. does it work with LG G2 the same way ?

Only samsung phones use csc files so that trick won't help. Also you could flash any aosp rom but I'm guessing you'd like to stick to the stock rom :/ You could also just tell what language you are looking for so someone on stock verizon could check it.

honestly im trying to stay with the stock rom as possible. if i can not then Cyanogenmod will be the 2nd choice.. im trying to add arabic to it.. if anyone know what the path for the lanuage xml file?
or maybe there is a way to add arabic to it ?

Wear os keyboard

Hello everyone,
I was messing arround with some keyboards on my ticwatch pro 4g and accidentally installed gboard, which replaced the wear os keyboard, tried uninstalling it and reinstalling apkmirror version with no luck.
I am rooted with TWRP, can someone help me get the keyboard back?
I was trying to get lithuanian language on wear os keyboard, since it is not supported on any wear os keyboard.

Solved by installing a custom rom, since I could not find a stock one

No need anymore, using a custom rom, everything seems to work fine, anyway I'm not sure if there is a way to go back to stock
