It gets stuck on 'connecting'. I'm like 2 cm away from the router and it still won't connect. Didn't happen before the latest Cyanogen Mod Nightly, could it be that?
Reading (& now posting) this thread via my grouper's WiFi - CM10.1 20130413-NIGHTLY (+faux r57 no tweaks).
What's "latest"?
Update
Hmmmm don't know if this is related or not but I see that the CM ad-hoc wireless patches were approved for the grouper kernel on 20130413 - 3 days ago...

Hi to everybody,
I'm new to defy world, and I don't understand this strange issue...
Is it fixed ?
Is it related with the radio (so with latest official motorola ROM flashed)?
Thanks

You are not very specific with your request/question but the Defy is well known for connection drops net only and telephony as well, which can only be recovered by a reboot. It is not fixed and probably never will be, because the problem is most likely located in the closed source RIL.
A few people reported they never had the bug with cm7_euroskank_v121203, walters rom and whiterabbit. But I cannot personally confirm that. I tried the euroskank version and it seemed to behave, but that was only a short test.
Other than that there is a workaround which works by autorebooting the system when you get a socalled bp panic (forgot what that means). It is integrated in most CM7 roms and CM10/10.1 but those require sim pin so the reboot is not as practical as in the CM7 builds.
Good luck.
thank you
Hi all
Have owned a X5 (U8000) since April 2011. In December 2011 I was introduced to rooting and custom ROMs via a friend
He rooted the phone and installed MIUI 1.11.25 - which has worked well, with two issues Green Lines in standard YouTube Playback and not being able to WiFi Hot Spot.
Today after many months of procrastination I purchased ROM Manager 5.5.2.8 and installed MIUI 2.12.20.
The two problems I have still remain sadly and I have introduced a third - the 'bold' headers in ROM Manager are missing and I can only see the words below.
Wondering if anyone knows a fix for above issues - have read all the threads I can find and see nothing mentioning these issues (the WiFi Hot Spot was fixed in the release just after MIUI 1.11.25).
The next question - I want to try CM10.1 which requires the official 2.3.5 kernel (?) - I am having trouble locating a mirror that still works.
Thanks all

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum so hopefully, I'm posting to the right section. If I'm not, please let me know where I should be posting.
I'm the owner of the Oppo Find 5 and have been using the OmniROM since December, flashing it to the latest nightly on a daily basis.
I recently used the nightlies form 3/24 to 3/26 and have noticed the following issue with these releases:
Unable to connect to Wi-Fi networks. I click to connect but it never does. The Wi-Fi icon doesn't appear in the top right hand corner either.
I can receive calls, but cannot place them. Every time I try, the call just ends
Another observation I have is after 3/23 the size of the nightly zip file has decreased from ~187MB to ~177MB.
I have reverted back to the 3/23 build and both the Wi-Fi and call placement functions were fine. It's only when I update to 3/24 build or later do I encounter the aforementioned issues.
Please advise or confirm if the issues can be duplicated.
Big OmniROM fan by the way.
Thanks and regards.
Starting from the 3/24 build, you must flash the 4.2 modem or wifi and/or calls won't work.

That worked. Thanks!
My wife has a 3G capable Nexus 7 (2012) that has never been on a mobile network. We bought the Nakasig device in case we ever decided to get a SIM card for it. Well, we never needed to with all the WiFi hotspots.
We have been running bshiznit's Lollipop ROM (for Grouper) for a while and it is time for either an update, or a change. It has gotten laggy, so I'm going to clean it out and maybe start with a new ROM. She's also been getting some reboots. At the worst time. I blame all the kid's games and stuff.
I know there are edits that can be done to Grouper ROMs that bypass the device check done in TWRP, but I'd rather go with what is already available. Some Grouper ROMs will not install due to that check.
Is there a list of ROMs that will work on either device, or a list of Grouper ROMs that will work on a Tilapia device? Again, I am not interested in keeping the 3G functionality. Just want a WiFi ROM on a 3G device.
hey mate..
every ROM actually running on Grouper will run on Tilapia..
about the how-to I already replied a few days ago here on Candy5 thread, maybe you missed it: forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59745701&postcount=168
