Such senseless comments nobody really needs. I had asked a question. A simple "no" would answer the question.

For their work.

No apps can be ported from S4 until we get an official 4.2.2 update. 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 are not cross compatible.
This might be useful

Well there's an official firmware out so we can base our port on that. Also we might try port the s3 firmware

This was posted when the firmware was not released.
And this is not for the porting Rom and use as a base.
But used for the developers who port apps.
And who requires.
The dump file and the supported files to working of the apps.

Most are not, some are. S health, S voice etc. runs fine here. Would have to wait for the more "cool" features though, I'm especially waiting for the camera and eye scroll! That'd be awesome on Note 2. We'll have more fun with it with the awesome battery life :good:

So what you are saying is that we can extract the Shealth and Svoice apks and directly install on our Note 2 and voila we have these apps working fine on our Note 2...
Is that correct? then will start to download the dump asap.

The direct installatiin is not possible. I think.
As its the change of framework.
And will need to make and add some new lib files.
These are dump not the direct installation.
Best for the developers.

well it took less than a week (48 hours 5 minutes) from my original request for it....
I must have done something right, so heres what I did:
I went to open source.samsung.com send the contact button in the upper right corner. filled in my name device info and the message read as follows:
2011-10-28 10:57:10 (GMT+09:00)
i would like to request the source code for the Samsung Captivate SGH-I896 (Canadian Rogers Carrier version of SGH-I897) 2.3.3 Gingerbread source code, I896UXKH2 build.
It was released to the public through keis software update on September 24, 2011. I would like to study the source code and my colleges would like to attempt to modify and build upon the kernel. There are 41 developers in my group specifically interested in these sources at the moment.

Yeah. Hooray - we can now have voodoo color etc. on KJ3 rom
Will this work with KJ3 ramdisk?
kj3 is 2.3.5
this is 2.3.3
not saying its not possible but not pre-defined.
^ nah, just overly excited meeting with disappointment no offense at all to the Canadians.
Wow nice man, does this mean we might get BLN on our 896/897 roms?
Will this help with the people who are hoping that auto-call recording will be developed for GB?

no nto at all , we need a gingerbread device that supports call recording the only one known to date is i9088 and its doubtfull it will ever receive a gingerbread update .
13 downloads and 1 thanks... yay!
Update, 2 thanks. But I wouldn't know what to do with it even if you packed instructions with it.
Even if you cant use it personally, realize it helps the community and so spanky the thanky!

No reason I could think of. As for language packs, I've yet to see a build that doesn't include English (US) language. I'm flashing it as soon as someone builds a CWM/TWRP package (that means you, DutchDanny, get to work! ...Please. ).

If you ODIN the CWM wouldn't it increasy the binary counter? Doesn't installing the Rooting-Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-10.1.zip via stock recovery works anymore?
For HC I did:
1) Flash stock ROM via ODIN
2) Install Rooting-Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-10.1.zip from stock recovery (file attached)
3) Install CWM via ROM Manager
Got it from Kies:

Think I'll flash it as pure stock without root for a week and judge the battery life and performance.

Ahh u where faster
Seriously... why are you posting someone else rom...
You are not even posting on behalf of Baidu...
I personally think there are reasons why they are not promoting it here. As they may not go along with xda rules.
Secondly, look at others post and yours, its a mess.
Mod, Please just delete this thread.
Thank You.
*Do not meant to discourage you, but forwarding others ROMs here is just not the way to go.
OP, just some information for the future. If its not yours or you didn't make it, do not post in the Development forum, post in General instead.
Thanks.
The android version on this is 4.0.4, it flashes a Chinese recovery and loads of content is still in Chinese. Hope someone translates and ports it, was pretty smooth to use. Cheers!!!
