CM7 PreBeta#2

I am in NO WAY involved with the development of anything other than my children LOL, but being the original thread was long and was about pre-beta 1, I started a new thread... sorry if it offends anyone.
Pre-Beta #2 is out and installed . Several fixes but still some bugs.

As always, the team takes no responsibility for broken phones, bricks, CM7 addiction, ROM flashing withdrawal syndrome or anything else. You assumed all risk and responsibility when you unlocked your phone.
Factory reset/Data wipe before install to prevent being stuck in boot loop.
As far as camera...
I have found Angel Camera to work with zoom, flash and all functions so far.
Zcrugby found Fast burst camera app works but I had to restart the app a couple of times. It did however take a pic and store it in my gallery.

i cant get mobile connection..tried every cm7 kernal as well as apn config..no luck=/

This is tempting, I've always been a cyanogen fan since my old mytouch 1.2 but I think ill stick with honeycomb 3.1 until a more stable version comes around. If the Rom I'm on keeps updating I may just stick with it though and flash cm7 just to check it out. Can't Waite for a release though to see what they bring seeing that this is a new development for them (the atrix)

I pulled the APN conf file out of a 4.5.91 ROM and overwrote the one on system\etc and set the permissions. Then I reset my apn's to default and it worked.

edit: didnt work for me. tried apns.conf from alien 3 and crust 06=/

any word on wifi tethering? Is it working or any work around?

in the screenshot it shows fauxs 1.4 kernal, but when i install i have 1.6..maybe thats why i cant get mobile cnxn..

Is there any plans to include the finger print scanner before it comes out of beta.

i would assume at some point it will be implemented as i believe cyanogen aims to keep the phones proprietary functionality intact.

I read somewhere that the fingerprint scanner SDK just came out, so its possible. However, because Atrix is the only device I know of with an FPS, and CM7 is for many devices, I would guess that FPS will not be in the beta release. It probably wont even be in the official release, but rather a mod released after the fact. Just a guess.

EDIT: Don't work on FINE MODE...

gh123man is right. Cyanogen team won't take over support unless all OEM functionality is there. It will happen with time.

that's correct, because now CM7 use more memory for system/kernel

only? 816 is a lot! when i had CM7 i was at about 600-700 ...

Thanks for the mention in the OP. odd how these things work. I don't have to restart the app or anything it just works every time. And I love how fast it takes pictures. But I'll give your suggestion a try

that should be what you have free, total was 879 available but with the new kernal 816 is the max available.

@OP what picture formats does the Angel Camera support? Will it allow up to 5MP? if i get to a wifi connection i may try it out until then was hoping to get some feedback from those that are using it.

The Atrix is the other name for the Olympus, look at your build.prop

I flashed it, and then flashed faux's kernel on top, w/ no problems... but then I flashed my custom framework and systemui (just cosmetic changes), and I don't know if it was that or my current theme chooser theme, but some of the framework-res images were messed up, and my battery had jumped from 92% to 20%... plus the power menu had changed... standard reboot option now, now longer have the three reboot choices... I just re-flashed my backup I made before hand.
The image issues I had where most likely my fault.
The battery jump of 70% - got me??
The power menu changes - part of new nightly??

Mine hasn't changed other than faux's kernel so far. I also have an option for gsm/wcdma(auto mode) gsm/ only wcdma only and gsm/wcda (wcdma preferred) in network settings.

Really thats weird... I did the exact same process as you including the supercharger script afterwards and still have the reboot menu and battery stats seem the same. odd....

Honestly I really haven't noticed anything yet. To busy trying to restore all my missing apps first to see if I still have issues with system stopping responding and phone shutting down.

Dialer and keybaord are the same. Didn't do a wipe before I installed so I assume it just updated?

i know this has nothing to do with nighties but is flash player 11 working for you guys?
on b^n build i can't watch any streams on teamliquid.net, so i flashed flash player 11 and it works but the image is all effed

This completely disables the use of the physical soft buttons (home, menu, back, and search) and shuts off their backlights.
It's for people who would like to use the on-screen buttons and not have to worry about the physical buttons being accidentally pressed.

sheeeeeiiiiiiiittttttttt well i was using root explorer and moved the system UI from my /sdcard/download to the system/app and pasted it to overwrite the old System UI and then after it overwrote it just kept force closing and then shut off and back on, it would let me use for about 20 seconds and then shut off again, WHAT DID I DO WRONG? Can i fix it with out having reflash the ROM? Also, i forgot to rename my radio so boot loader is inaccessible to get me to recovery

I'm pretty sure that replacing the system UI apk would need to be pushed through adb.

Got it to work just had to change my permissions in 20 seconds

[Q][Help] Sense 3.6 ROM

I'm trying to fix the no voice in apps in Team Blackout ROM v4.0. I found a sense 3.6 ROM with everything working on it but its stock. Its called Incredible Glacier.
I just don't know what libs I need to swap out but I know this could be fixed.
Please any devs that could help I and I'm sure others would really appreciate it.
It is the best sense ROM out for our phone with only this one issue.

yep sp27! yah I am not sure how long it took to download these.I never really paid much attention ,I usually just ignore it and do something else when DLs are taking to long!

Yeah I'm downloading the same version. I saw they have one 4.1a sp24 lite, I guess its like sense4a

No problem.I got it working a while ago there is some files u need to put in system/etc and system/etc/soundimage the files are i think one of them is AdieHWCodec.csv and I cant remeber the others and you might need to push them into the rom itself prior to flashing.maybe find a rom of the same that works and take those files.I am sure someone else can chime in on the files needed .I have no time to tinker with it to figure out for you sorry.

I wish it could be posted on here cause its a awesome ROM.

What ROM are you using? The full and light versions are a little different. I also just ported them to Blackout v4.0.

Here you go.
Blue htc music
Blue Glow popup menus
Make sure to make a backup before you flash these. Wipe cache and dalvik cache then flash them.
Let me know how they work out. I used a different way to flash the popups but they should work the same using the VRTheme zip that I just posted.
PS: I also made a statusbar theme using sense 5 icons and a matching sense icon set. Let me know if you would like those.

Intrigued by this as well. Read the thread and it seems a few are having issues with SMS not sending, can receive and MMS works seems there are a few fixes out there.

sms/mms works fine after you flash fix step #9. For Wi-Fi tether you will need to use galaxy tools apk, to use click enable hotspot, then click wifihotspot settings, done. I really can't find anything else not working, but the usual fingerprint.

I've been using this Rom on this phone but I use gsm. Running really smooth.

Had to install nova was a bit tricky getting past the fc. But after that it was fine. Battery consumption was a bit high but I believe that was my kernel.

On thread there is a systemui fix. And also a Rom control zip.
But you don't flash until you boot Rom to setup screen. In other words:
Follow directions here but when Rom boots to setup screen, reboot to recovery and flash they modified nougat system ui zip. Then reboot and continue. All should be fine! Was for me.
Even though i eventually went back to nova launcher cause that's what i use!
Also not to conflict with op here. But I've found that Ram v5 works best. But that could just be me.

I have downloaded it but been so happy with this setup I have held off for now. There's even a v9 floating about. Don't think it's released for all variants yet.

Oh. I forgot. What might be working good on mine is Force doze. I found this force doze app, and it works on this Rom.
