I use my gmail account primarily for this tablet. So the gf decides to add her as well. Now I have 2 accounts on the Nexus 7. How do I remove hers without resetting or wiping. Thanks.

dont feel stupid, if you only have one account you never have the remove option so its not the first thing you think about when you have 2

According to HTC in order to fix this problem you must do the following:
Go to Facebook.com
from your personal info you must delete your High School information. then add a city to your employer.
that worked for me and hope it works for you...
I'll try it right now, kinda weird fix though don't you think?
Holy ISH it works!!
This will not work for users that can login and can not see facebook contacts or link them.

HOLY **** it WORKS!!!!!
Lmao, it DOES work! I went into contacts and online directories had to refresh like 5 times before it synchronized my friends. After complete sync, I added my high school info. All seems to be ok. Crazy fix!
How weird is that... It worked!
Still doesn't fix the whole "no friends" situation

Try removing you fb acct from accts sync. Delete you high school and add the city to you employment. Then add fb back to accts sync and refresh a few times under contacts and online directories.

That too, almost forgot I did that step as well.
Yep. Deleted both things. My high school info is gone (left college), and my jobs have cities... re added it to sync and have been refreshing under onlien directories...it's a no go.
Nevermind... it looks like it worked out of no where after I just plain removed all of my school and work info.
And now it's getting connection error everytime again... ugh. I give up.
It worked for about 5 minutes and then FAILED!
Sort of retarded that you have to tweak this and twist that, just to get the account to sync correctly.
This worked, but I litterally had to hit sync about 100 times to get it to go.

I've just got a Motorola Atrix and I'm now waiting for the unlock code, but I've also notice that the phone asks me for a motoblur account. Is this mandatory for using this phone? I've tried creating an account but the website just stays in a loop saying "creating your motoblur account" and nothing happens (I've tried in 3 different browsers and the same things happens in all of them). Anyway, do I REALLY need this account?

Well I was able to skip it, but you need it for OTA. Although you could get updated by flashing.
I just created a spam email account for the Blur BS...

You can use the phone without the sim and you can also bypass the BLUR registration. This is what I did while waiting for my unlock code

ccrows: Not sure why you created a separate account. I haven't really noticed any increase in spam in my usual inbox even after using it to register a Blur account.
Thanks! It's good to at least test and configure the phone while I don't get the unlock code.
One question, I can see the previous owner's motoblur account with a lock symbol in front o it. I've checked the options and I could add my gmail account but could not remove the old owners' motoblur account. How do I do this?

Good point. I did a factory reset early on and I think it prompted for the Motoblur login. Unless Google launches a remote wipe app, why wouldn't you want to have a blur account? You'd think remote wipe would be a native feature to better support android in a corporate environment.

No idea, but it's an easy process to follow if you need to re-do. Having a blured phone is not a bad thing in my opinion as you can track the location and remote wipe if needed.
Facelock option is greyed out. It says disabled by administrator. Also Slide option is greyed out. What to do? RESOLVED. Thank you all.
Do you have any apps that might have disabled these? I'm thinking security or anti-theft applications.

Yes, VPN makes it mandatory to use pin, password or pattern. Slide unlock, faceunlock are disabled if VPN is used
You may try option Clear credentials in Security options of the settings.
It`s the VPN

I had that very same problem with my SGS3 after logging in to the VPN of a university I visited. I had to delete the certificates related to the VPN login, otherwise it won't work.

Thank you. Worked like a charm.
Recently I bought a Nexus 7. I made my account primary, made a dummy account for my kid and my wife added herself as a user.
I was checking since settings and updates on my kids account and found to my surprise he could access my wife Gmail. More digging and I found all her Google services were cross linked to the kids.
Does anyone know why?
Also, how do I stop this?
Thanks.

Maybe I need to clarify my problem.
Primary User - Me. No one can access anything of mine.
Secondary User - Wife
Secondary User - Kid
Kid opens Gmail, sees his own account and can change to my Wife's Gmail account as well.
This shouldn't be possible. Any thoughts?
That's odd. I just tried with some dummy accounts and old gmail accounts and I was unable to replicate your issue. One thing I'll suggest is go into your kid's account and check under Settings>Accounts>Google and if your wife's email shows up there, remove it. That's the only thing I can think of right now.

Thanks for the reply. I did that and it worked. My wife's account is still there as a "user" as it should, but now the Kid can't see her Google stuff. It was so weird.

Glad that worked. One of you must have accidentally added her account when the tablet was logged into your kid's account. :good:

Settings>Scroll Down to "add account"> add your account > Once done, click on the old account from the settings menu> hit the (3-dot) menu button and press remove account. Wiping data would also do the trick if you were willing to go that route.

As far as I'm aware. The "initial id" is not stored anywhere. There's only the Google Account that is currently synced.

Yeah, I don't see why it should be any different than a regular Google account.
