I want the note2 to be in a cradle when om gaming or using my computer. And I want it to display my pc stats like cpu usage, temps on the gpu, memory and so and so.
Is there an app for that?

that's normal..
And battery saver will make your battery drain faster than before.
Continuous data exchange drains your battery faster, specially when you are using 3g.

[Q] 2 question about usage..

Hi my first question is :
- Is Lightflow app consume battery ? (i want to make that the led blink faster for Whatsapp and Stock SMS app but they don't have this option so i have to instal a third app that manage my LED)
And the second question is :
- What's better for battery .. 4 core usage at mininal clock ? (300mhz) or 2 core usage at medium clock (700mhz) ?
It depends on how often you get a notification but on average light flow takes around 5 percent of my battery

5% of battery? Sounds like there is something wrong there.

No kidding. I think you'd need to host a rave using the led light to see 5% battery usage.

I may be wrong here but I think 5% is possible.
He's not saying the LED light takes 5%, that'll be crazy.
He's saying the app is taking 5%, which might be possible.
Yes the app not the led I actually just installed the app again I'll take a screen shot tomorrow

Thanks ! and what about my second question ?

As for the second can't be sure which would be better, you want to limit the amount times you charge your phone. That is the best way to preserve batteries. However I would keep all four cores going at the 350 mhz min. To me its like getting a v8 and only using four cylinders when you stomp on the gas.

Light flow does consume battery...I would just use it and if it doesn't bother you as much than just stick with it.
I would go with 4 cores.

Alright guys, I need the best battery saving apps out there

I'm going on a sixteen hours journey, hoping to pass the time with my Nexus 4.... Playing games(Asphalt 8), watching a movie & listening to my music.
So what do you guys recommend as the best battery saving app? Plus I need a video player that can dim the screen brightness more than MX player, since it's a night time journey, I don't need that much brightness at all.
Thanks in advance guys!

dont use an app for that... underclock and undervolt, turn everything off that you dont need and dimm your screen... you propably wont make it anyway for this long... apps use energy, they dont save it...

In my experience the best battery saver is the airplane mode. Disconnecting antennas you save a lot of battery.
My two cents.
Agree with both of these posts ^^^

Juice defender been helping me extend my battery for years..works great.
Get Mobo player ... Best video player hands down..plays any format.
I bought juice pack from monoprice.com for those long flights..

Get lux to dim the screen. I would just buy a cheap portable battery.

What's good for underclocking? I personaly tried 4 different apps, and underclocking just works for like half'n hour, then the max clock goes back to 1.5GHz. Looks like it doesn't matter which app I use.
These are the apps I tried so far:
Trickster MOD Kernel Settings
System Tuner Pro
franko.Kernel updater
No-frills CPU Control
BatteryGuru from Qualcomm, and of course a power bank!
Battery saver type applications only work by disabling services well the phone is sleeping, so the more the phone sleeps the more good they do, Qualcomm Battery Guru disables synching or changes synch schedules, Juice Defender does similar plus adds disabling mobile data except at certain synch time intervals, none of them will do anything to make your battery last all say, especially if you are using the phone.
Best bet, really your only bet, to get 16 hours of use is an external power source of some kind.
Get a power bank like mentioned. Amazon has hassle less returns if you do not "like"

There is no best so, but common sense. Just manually turn off things you don't need or use the phone less or by a tablet and do the videos and gaming on it instead. Portable battery charger works too.

You're going to need an external battery if you want to watch a video for any more time than a few hours.

Mulit-core hacks

So I have a very thought out question now I have a 4 core phone right? Well my battery life is below average and I was wondering if I had all my cores running at once would it balance out battery life? I just need some help from someone who knows about all this and are all cores mandatory?
Sent From My Liberated E970
You can select how many active cores are activated with trickster mod and (necessary!) a kernel that supports this.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
I know how to and can with my kernel but I need to know if more cores are activated if the battery life will be better or worse
Sent from my Optimus G using XDA Premium HD app
I would definitely take a look in to what my batter usage is and how to control that before I worry about the cores. Just my two cents.
P.S. I am sorry but I believe the Multi-core in the title is spelled wrong.

More cores active would mean more processing power, and more processing power requires more energy(atleast on the same cpu), so disabling most of your cores would result in better battery life, maybe by a little bit though.
Hahaha I didn't realize it said mulit

useful topic
It seems to me that by disabling cores wont make a difference to your battery life, only to your performance. It doesn't matter if 2 cores work for 5 seconds or 1 core works for 10 seconds, it is practically the same power consumption
Play around
I would say download CPU-Z from the Play Store and look how much Cores are active and which clock they're at.
Then flash a custom Kernel, which lets you control the clock, govenor and how much cores are active, undervolting may increase your battery life too.
Play with the settings (PLEASE DO NOT RAMP UP THE CLOCKS or set the voltage to the lowest point you can, it may break your phone, stay reasonable, it's not my fault if your phone bricks) and look what's best for you.
Pro Tip: Take a look at the different govenors and look what they do. Google them!
Greetz Leevee33
I hope I could help you a little
Im using trickster mod and I know about all of this I studied up and have undervolted by 200 MV stable but I'm using the hotplug settings to 1:2 so not all 4 cores are active and I get almost two days on one charge!so I guess that does mean less cores use less power

Best cpu settings for performance and battery span?

I attached picture of synapse below with my current cpu settings and my question is is it good enough for performance and battery saving and can I do it even better?
I have android l with unleashed kernel
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Free mobile app
only you know as we all use our devices differently. there is no such thing as best setting. since we all use our devices differently, best settings would depend on your usage. thats for performance and for battery.
I would recommend bumping up the screen off frequency one notch because with 500mhz, some music playing applications like tune in radio skip occasionally.
