[Q] Flashing to stock Android

Hello I'm new to Android and my friend is letting me borrow his spare Xperia play. One problem, he has an experimental os or something along those lines installed, and to get the full Android experience I want to use the stock OS. He said all I need to do is flash it back to the stock OS however I am a noob when it comes to Android and have no idea how to go about this. Please any help would be greatly apreciated, thanks.

It's actually me that let him borrow it, and it's an R800X. I regret to say that I will actually be too busy this weekend to help him, but I can provide you with details. It's an R800x, it's not activated on Verizon, and if I remember correctly it's running Version 23? of FreeXperia CM7. As you guessed, the bootloader is fully unlocked, and if something goes wrong I have the knowledge(mostly) on how to fix it. So, my XDA brethren, help this poor soul who has lost his way on iOS!

List of things to do after buying a new Android Tablet

Hi all!
I would be very happy if you all could share your ideas and knowledge with me regarding
List of things to do after buying a new Android Tablet
I am expecting my GT-N8000 next week and I want to start on the right footing with my new device.
It could be a list of do this and do that....step by step in order of precedence.
ex:
1. Disable UAC on Windows
2. Install Samsung Kies software on PC
3. Backup current/original Bootloader and save it on your PC for fallback purposes
4. Backup current/original ROM and save it on your PC for fallback purposes
5. Copy CWM or whatever...on your SD Card.
6. Boot up by pressing this and that button....
7. and the list goes on and on....(with all of your help!)

Get a case. A black one to be specific haha I got a white one to go with my white note, not the best idea... Got dirty fast. Also, if you are going to flash a rom, make it a stock based rom at first. Same UI and experience, but much faster.

Yeah, Just a sec
EDIT: I think it's working. I didn't find anyone that was having a problem anymore. The rom is based on the 3G version firmware, so I doubt you would have trouble.

I have rooted it finally using the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 ToolKit (I chose TWRP custom recovery as it is touch/button based)
Then I did a full backup of the device using Nandroid TWRP
Then, just to be safe, I also did an EFS backup using EFS Professional.
I am just playing around and installing apps and games before I flash the Revolution HD 9.0 rom.
Thanks for the help!

No. You need need root.
Since this is a Framework you need to install you have to root I'm afraid. It's not that hard and quite easy if you follow instructions carefully!

Well, there are several explanations towards the lag thing. It might have something to do with the actual ROM itself. Did you try another ROM? Did you try another Kernel? There are tons of solutions on this subject.
If you ever want to flash a custom ROM on your Note 3 I would highly recommend the X-Note (available for the N9005 and some other versions) .

Yes, all the S Pen features exists. What really makes the ROM different is the speed and battery life. You get the Xposed Framework preinstalled as well which adds tons of modification features. Head over to the thread and you'll see all the features it provides.

[Q] [REQUEST] Nexus 10 Lollipop 5.0 BOOTANIMATION for Note 10.1 2014

Hi mates!
I have been searching the BOOTANIMATION of Nexus 10 Lollipop 5.0 for use it on my Note 10.1 2014, but I have not found it.
The resolution of my tablet is 2560 x 1600 pixels with 299 ppi in 10.1 inches.
Anybody could get it?
Thank you so much!
Hey,
Is there even a 5.0 ROM for the n10 yet? If you know of one just extract the bootanimation.zip from it and replace it with yours. But I think you'll have to wait a couple weeks until it is built
Hi mates!
Anybody could get it now, with the new ROM?
Thank you so much!

I can try and make a somewhat universal one or if you can send me the META-INF folder form a recent ROM on your device to make sure that it works

I do not know how to send this information you ask me.
The ROM I'm using is unofficial CyanogenMod 11. In this link you can see:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2782528
The resolution of my tablet is 2560 x 1600 pixels with 299 ppi in 10.1 inches.
Forgive the hassle
EDIT: In the past you already helped me with kitkat bootanimation in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2620625
And it works perfectly.
Thank you

Did you get the newest yoga tablet 2 10" or the first gen 10"? Also what root method did you use if it was on the second gen 10" running the intel z atom processor.
Best solution I could offer is install the xposed Installer and once rebooted search the downloadable apps for 'immersive' and try the 'Force Immersive Mode on certain apps' app.
Many thanks

No idea, but there does seem to be a lot of people complaining that they can't root successfully once upgraded to Kitkat (although, to be fair, others seem to do it). Do you have a backup of the old system (Jellybean) to restore to? If not I think you're basically stuffed I'm sorry to say.
Many thanks
