Go to the Dev section of the forum, d/l one of the many stock based ROMs, and extract it from system/app.

I'm afraid it will not install if you`re running a custom rom, since it`s an Acer`s stock rom system app...

so no other way?
Only chposing a rom that already have clearfi?

I am not sure, I can be wrong, but I suppose so...
Not sure if it could be solved editing the build.prop file...

I'm on Thor and it shows up in the market..

Most problems on custom rom is that if they delete the clearfi app they also delete the permission.
System/etc/permission, there should be a clearfi. XML file.
If that file is missing clearfi won't work, solution is restoring that file and then putting the clearfi app in system/app and reboot.

Hello Xda. I would Like to ask all of you , if you have any Se Launcher , but i want to be fast and smooth . Link the arc launcher for example. Thanks in advance

i use this thread.. and it runs very smooth to me ( The old one i had was very laggy)

open the zip file. go to system/app and unzip Home.apk . copy it to sd card and install it
P.S. if i help press the thanks button. don't say thanks it's spam

did u just copy home.apk or did u copy all the other apk as well?
btw i was going to press thanks but i was limited to 5 thanks a day

if you want and other apk install them. The Launcher is "Home.apk"

ya i just copied home.apk and set permissions in system/app and reboot but its not working. Can u give me clear concise instructions on hw u did it plz?

Extract somewhere the Home.apk and open it and install. delete it from system/app. just install as an ordinary apk.

i really like stock SE X8 launcher but until now i can find any rom can fit with it

[APP] Stock 2.2 dictionary application [ must have app , helpful ]

Hello friend,
I m giving a full information to run that stock dictionary on any rooted android.
1. Download all the attachments..
2. I suppose, you all have edictionary folder in your root ur sdcard...
3. extract libDioDictEngineNative.so.zip n copy paste it in system/lib
4. set permissions as given in sceenshot..
5. now extract apk.zip n install the .apk
And you have done, You can use stock dictionary app..

Guyz, Do anyone know, how to link dictionary.apk to the file of it on sdcard...?

Pls use search function you will get all the details you want. You need a "libDioDictNativeEngine.so" file in your "/system/lib" folder to get it working.

Download attached zip and extact.copy "DioDict_for_Android_LG_Swift_India.apk" to /system/app and using root explorer change the permission to
xx
x
x
Now copy "libDioDictEngineNative.so" to /system/lib and change permission as above.restart your phone.

Note: Root Explorer app is not a free app so i had Used ES file explorer to change permissions to add write permission.

My edictionary folder was still there on the SD card after i moved from Stock 2.2 to CM7, Which is why i didn ot get the above error. The problem for my case was solved on following the steps above.

Ya....it is for those who formatted their sd card....works flawlessly ....just extract edictionary in sdcards root or u will get database not found error.

This method is no longer working on the CM9 ICS hephappy ROM. it worked for me last time on the CM7 Gingerbread ROM. Please help to install on Hephappy's genetics ROM

Can anyone please tell me how to make the backgroung of settings transparent....

Make a 320X240 png format transparent image name it evo-dark.png nd replace it wid the file located in framework res.apk > res ldpi
U can do it via ninjamorph app in mobile itself only or on pc by decompiling framework

First download ninjamorph app nd in that select new project den goto system framework nd select framework-res.apk nd extract it fter extracting go to res ldpi nd find is dere any evo_dark.png file is existing or not after that tell me

Dude i used vts studio for decompiling then went to styles.xml and at style=theme changed dark_backgroung to transparent and in window background there was background there was backgroung_tj_dark so i went to drawable idpi searched for the image and made another png of same name dimension etc then i compiled it.... After i moved it to system/framework.... also set permission but i found that after restarting many of my apps got force close and also the background became black.... Therefore i had to restore it.......
Pkease sir tell me how to solve it????????

Use ninjamorph app
U need to change juzz two png file in order to make a ui transparent
If u r using ussr rom den find two files in framework>res>drawable idpi here
File names are
Ussr_dark.png
Ussr_light.png
And if ur using evo x rom den find
Evo_dark.png
Evo_light.png
And juzz replace those couple of files with the image u wanted..........

use apktool or apk multi tool to decompile apk, make changes and recompile it. you just need to know what you need to edit and how.

yeah i know that

First u need to rooted phone.
Then use root browser and copy ur apk file... If u have pc copy the apk file to pc.. Open apk file using winrar edit the files u want and save
