Hi guys,
my display is damaged and I cannot see anything. I need your help, please. So I'd like to know how I
- start CWM,
- make a backup
- flash an "update.zip"
with the hardware buttons.
The last thing I did with the zte blade is to upgrade to TPT2 und CM7.2. So I'm not sure which version of CWM is on the device.
Thank you for your help!

First of all why would you wanna flash an update.zip on a broken phone? :what:
Second, you should be able to backup everything with adb pull /data/media/ to
get your internal storage and adb pull /data/ to get the data partition.
Alternatively, use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36499906
Just hope USB debugging was on

Unfortunately usb-debugging wasn't on.
With flashing an update.zip I can delete my private data, because I want to sell the phone. Or is there another way to reset the phone?
Use the TPT for wipe your data, no need to interact with the phone, fort the backup, ask someone with your recovery to say the steps

Have you made a nanroid back up?
Make sure you unzip the rom from the right place on your SD card.also try and wipe the cache and reinstall the cm7 rom.
If that doesn't work! I can try and send you one of my old backed up roms.

Make sure you clear data and format the system partition before restoring the backup.

i did and nothing happen. is there a way i can get to my files via usb?
you won't be able to access files unless you select disc drive, and you can't do that. are you trying to install through hboot?
if you take the battery out of the phone and go to the bootloader screen and boot into the recovery screen and select the nandroid screen you will be able to mount the usb storage from there at least i can from my wildfire, hope this helps you

I am at a loss as to what else I can try now.
I have a rooted nexus 7 on 4.2 (I think), and I have clockword recovery menu. I need to backup my data and then do a complete reset to bring my nexus 7 back to stock and then to root again.
Basically, as the Nexus 7 doesn't have an SD card it's not as simple as other devices. I also can't backup the data because it keeps failing on me (not enough space..)
I need to setup adb with my device if I were to try that, but what commands can I use and will they work just from the recovery menu?
Or, does anyone have any other ideas?
To summarise; I need to backup my tablet but can't backup from the device and I don't know how to using the PC in recovery menu.

Why don't you try one of the tool kits, like this one, very easy to use.

Does it allow backup without booting the device? i.e from the recovery menu?
Does everything from ADB or Fastboot

Hi,
I'm trialling another way to fix the problem and hopefully it'll work. Basically you reflash recovery, backup to external memory stick via OTG and then just completely wipe and start again
Hello,
Need some help with a Nandroid restore. When I did the backup everything went fine, and now when I am trying to restore it, when it gets to /data it is taking forever.
I am using philz touch CWM recovery. Samsung Galaxy S5.
I started it yesterday and it is still going, it says 800/5575 mb, so it has a lot more to go... is this normal? is it really going to take a week to do a restore?

Hi,
Since you're stuck now anyway, I'd restart the phone in recovery, wipe system, data and cache and try restoring again. But it may just be corrupt. If you have another nandroid, try to restore it.
Other options are use another device with a micro SD card and put a rom, and gapps if needed on it and install the rom on your device.
Last option is to Odin flash stock firmware again.
If you want other ideas or need further help, please ask in this dedicated help thread for your device,

Thanks for the help! Do you know if wiping the system will get rid of the clockworkmod folder? that is where the nandroid backup is saved...
I may just flash a new rom again, with titanium I should be able to recover everything.

Any ideas? should I stop it where it is at and flash a new rom? I wanted to after there was a stock 5.0 version out, but I could do it early.
I did take the backup and put in on my computer, and then put it on my phone again. Would that affect it? the SD card wont mount on my phone, so I only have the internal to work with.

Ok, so I decided to stop the restore and I am trying to now load a stock rom. I am running into a problem though, how do I transfer a file to my device? I have nothing to boot into, and the SD card does not work. Can I flash it with odin?
Solved?

I think I have "fixed" it. Finaly was able to sideload a rom. I am waiting for the stock rooted one to download still, but if it does and I can load in all my titanium backup stuff, all should be good. :fingers-crossed:

Hi, I bricked my phone, I totally messed up... Now I can't make my computer or any computer to recognize it... It doesn´t turn on, in anyway... So, I have almost lost any hope to fix my UMI Zero... But while reading any possible way to bring it back, I found MTKDroid Tools....I'm not sure that it will work, but I think it's my last chance... But I indeed need a backup of any Umi Zero, 'cause of course, when you need it... Turns out that you had it on the internal memory... So PLEASE if anyone could help me with an MD5 file of your phones... I'd truly appreciate it...
Thanks in advance to anyone who's willing to help....
And sorry for my bad English...
Thanks again!!!

I have exactly same issue, like timelord666. I'm unable to mount /system in TWRP. Did any of you guys come with some solution?
Had this problem on a VF-895N, i did factory reset and cache format a few times with reboots between them until it just went away!
But the best way to solve is to flash the stock rom back, has it will reinstall all partitions.
But I cannot do factory reset, because there is no system installed, somehow. And when I try to wipe it, I always get that partition error. I would like to install stock rom back, but how?
Here is a complete backup of TWRP 3.10.
https://mega.nz/#!uBRWzCxK!7y6qVYaESe1D2PnURLu70I4mkNuNLWwzMoVdwcr7-ec
Maybe my question is stupid, but what m I suppose to do with this zip file?
The zip belongs to the TWRP folder on the SD.
Path: TWRP / backups / umi_zero /
Card into the unit, then the Recovery and Restore. So you can restore your device.
Hi my question is more stupid... because I bricked the phone, How I TWRP? I went in the TWRP page but the device Vodafone VF-895N is not into the list....
Thank you....
Are you already aware of but that is about the Umi Zero here !?
Sorry but Umi3 write about my device and I supposed that Twrp image was for my device

Go to need rom and download the very first rom for umi zero.
The name is Y800.Flash it with sp flash tools. You don't have to have a rom installed first.
You will have your phone back working again.
Me too...
Hi everyone!!!
I I think also caused one softbrick on my smartphone. My Umi zero already been updated from the original firmware to version 3.09. Then I decided to try the other roms. I Installed Miui v6 Arcatarcs rom. It worked well with either common bug and everyone already knew he had. So I decided to try the EMUmizero (mouths later). To install the "EMU" used the RootJoy as Arcatarcs guides. I used it little and preferred to return to Miui but in version 7. I thought it best enjoy the RootJoy and downgrade by himself for the original rom (3:01) before.
After I downgraded Umi began shows various errors (I could not touch anything because it was opening pop ups of errors on the screen). Several pop ups appear followed ("com.android.phone stopped", "com.android.systemui stopped", "com.android.acore stopped"). Restarted the Umi, I entered the recovery of rootjoy, and tried to do a full wipe. But I think there also appeared a few mistakes. And currently it does not come out of the boot screen / logo-Umizero.
I tried to make a stock rom installation via FlashTool but the software does not even begin the installation. Sometimes back up to even enter the recovery image of rootjoy.
It also does not recognize the memory card "sdcard". Was recognized try to do the install the rom there.
Can anyone help me?!? Can I install the twrp on Umi for other software?? like odin or something??
thnks a lot
solved
yesterday sp flash tool dont work... today... bingo... full format and new install of the stock original rom umi zero...

Hi, actually while I was trying to solve it, battery bloated and phone stopped working at all. I was trying to use my waranty at Aliexpress, because it wasn only few months old phone, but they stopped communicating... So it was like throwing 200$ away... Never buy phone at Aliexpress, never.
Hey guys, I was using TWRP to install a custom rom, but I accidentally wiped EVERYTHING off the internal storage (Format Data) Now it's completely blank, nothing at all on it. My computer doesn't even detect the amount of space on the device, and I can't send any files to it. Did I just permanently destroy this phone? Can it be fixed?
Will TWRP be gone if I reboot the phone? Help please

I did that once on my ls980. I just downloaded a stock tot image and used lgflashtools to go back to stock. Worked like a charm.

Do not reboot your phone, 'cause as you say, you wipe everything, so there is no more Android on it. Plug to your PC and try use ADB command instead of Graphic Explorer. If "adb devices" return your device, then your good to go and push a ROM on your phone. Else, the only way is to go in Download Mode and restore your phone with .kdz or .tot file.
Thanks for the help guys, I found a solution.
