I installed it using ODIN (I had been rooted so no auto download for me).
T-Mobile have ceased pushing updates and removed from their support website so this seems to be the only current way of upgrading if you choose.
It's all legit and works, slow download though!

Hi
Picked up an S5 after years of iPhones, Which i bought from the three store in the UK.
After installing a few apps i started to get error 24 installing netflix. I didnt fancy doing a factory reset so i routed my phone to use a root browser to remove the temp files which resolved my issue (but of course i still had to do a factory reset) However i didn't realise that android confirms if its official or not and then doesn't receive OTA updates.
I'm not much into messing with releases these days so i downloaded the stock UK firmware (NCE) from sammobile and it now says official after flashing it.
However i notice that there is an OTA update out today (NC2) which i'm not getting when i check for updates (the message says latest update installed).
Is this simply a case of the update not having rolled out to everyone yet or does the update checker use the serial number of my phone to check that it should be on the H3G UK firmware rather than the stock UK firmware? Kies also states the firmware is up to date.
Thanks for any advice

Rather than waiting for ota would I just be as well flashing the new stock uk firmware through Odin?
I own an S4 I9505 which is not carrier locked but it has a branded firmware from Bouygues Telecom ( a french carrier). It's still android 4.4.2. From experience I know that this carrier is always very late to release a firmware update. Thus I m considering to flash a firmware from another region. Guides on how to do this are everywhere.
But it is not clear whether there are consequences to upgrading my firmware to Lolllipop this way?
Will I still be able to do further upgrades via OTA (yeah ... I know it's very likely that 5.0.1 will be the last update that will be available for my S4)?
But most important ... will certain applications still see my S4 as an original untampered device? I also use my phone for work. I have access to mail and agenda via Mobile Works (from Mobile Iron). This some kind of Knox-like application. This application only runs on non-rooted devices. It also imposes various other security policies and checks. So what I want to know is wether an application like this is able to see that I flashed another (original) rom via odin? If yes then I am quite sure that I won't be able to use my device for work any longer.
OTA may not work, but as your device is unlocked you can simply do the upgrade via Odin anyway. Your application will continue to see your device as original and untampered because you are installing official firmware from Samsung, not a custom ROM from the development sections.
I had recently bought LG G2 D802 phone this month and I wanted to upgrade it to possibly Android 4.4 Kitkat from Android 4.2 Jellybean So, I went to 'Update Center > Software Update in phone settings.
The update is known as:
"v20a-MAR-07-2014 (534.84 MB)"
Firstly, I would like to know whether this Kitkat or lollipop or whatever update it is?
After a few megabytes of downloading, the native download manager reports an error "Cannot download" and there's no way to resume it from where it left. I have tried this process many times and every time it failed and I am sure there's nothing wrong with my Wi-fi.
While I was looking for an alternative way to manually grab this update via PC, I tried "LG PC Suite" to check for updates which said that: "2 upgrades are available" and the latest version is lollipop as the picture in attachment shows. but I only wish to upgrade to Kitkat OS. Is possible that I just disconnect my phone from PC Suite after it finishes applying only just one upgrade and not the lollipop upgrade?
Most likely it's Kitkat. Lollipop for G2 is named like V30A, V30B, V30D and so on. You can download KDZ file for your device and flash it.
URL: http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=123123123
You have to replace 123123123 with your device's IMEI.

You can only download the newest available KDZ on the linked page. Probably not KK, since it's not the newest available for the D802.
Search around a bit. You should be able to find the KK KDZ for the region you want linked somewhere on xda. Just refer to the sticky post regarding flashing a KDZ.
And no you shouldn't disconnect your device during the update. Also the DL is failing because KK isn't available through LG servers anymore.
Happy upgrading

It sounds like a bad news that they have taken down the link from their Official website. So far the phone is working just fine and I am not sure if I should even update the phone to anything since many of the users from the forums all over the internet (as I have read) are complaining about how the updates ruined their phone (I assume especially the G2) and brought so many disappointing bugs to deal with.

AFAIK most bugs plaguing KK got fixed in the end. I remember downgrading from KK to JB because of some audio issues. They are now not present anymore, and KK is as stable as it gets. It even performed better than JB (the ui used to animate way too quickly so it looked laggy, and fixed the microstuttering in most apps).
I would personally recommend KK. Have had some problems with LP, where it wouldn't run as smoothly and the battery life was a tad worse, so now I'm back on KK.
This is a backup device for me to use as a smart remote in my living room. To avoid hassles I accordingly I returned it to the stock rom.
Well today I got an official update to the device of about 240mb. For reference I am on the most recent stock Rogers ROM.
Anyone else see this?
The updated full stock Bell ROM is available on sammobile.com: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SGH-I337M/.
The bell ROM can be flashed to a Rogers and Telus s4 too.
Based on the ota update file size, it is probably a bug fix and/or security update.
Hello, I recently updated my m30s to android 10, but I didn't like it
i downloaded stock room android 9 of my country from a site called sammobile,
and i installed it using ODIN, everything works perfect,
my only question is: is it possible to get ota updates back ?
Because when I tried to check for updates,
its says you current software is not supported. Visit a service center.
