I first want to note that none of this is my work, I'm simply sharing with the community with the permission from the creator of this tool. All credit goes to kamma for his port of TWRP here and Derek from the OPPO forums for bringing CWM, and of coarse JonaBustos for making this great tool for us to use!
Easy Recovery install for Find 5!
Prerequisites:

Ok, it looks like the issue is with boot.img it appears to reflash the stock recovery on reboot. Its been talked about in the oppoforums and there seems to be an easy fix using adb shell
Use adb shell to disable it, but you need to have root. Here are command lines :
Code:
adb shell
su
mount -o rw,remount /system
cd /system/etc
mv install-recovery.sh install-recovery.sh.old
exit
exit
adb reboot
Recovery should now stick.
I found this too: http://www.oppoforums.com/threads/cwr-installed.1374/#post-21980

Hi guys. I know this isnt the place to ask these questions, and hope someone can guide me to the correct place. Thanks in advance.
My find 5 previously a chinese version color os, android 4.2.2. After installing the international version en_x909 rom i get a restart/soft restart asking to enter sim pin every minute.
The network always shows/gets edge line/symbol which is not 3G or H/H+ which the area is HSPA.

Howdy all!
Did you install TWRP and then take the OTA, now you can't get your phone to boot normally, but you do see TWRP?
Here's the easy fix:
If you have ADB access, plug in your phone and run this:
Then you should be able to successfully reboot your phone via the TWRP menu option, or via a simple reboot command in adb.
If you DONT have ADB access (because of an early build of TWRP), you can simply use TWRP's awesome "terminal command" option to run the following:
You'll have to type that whole thing out, and be VERY careful with spaces and punctuation. One wrong letter and you could nuke your phone.
After that finishes, you can reboot and continue on your happy way!
Let me know if this helps anyone!
As usual, I'm on #lg-g2 in Freenode as IOMonster, if I'm around I'll be happy to help wherever I can.

try holding the power buttons for ten seconds or more if it boots into twrp and then just reflash your rom?

I screwed my phone too the day after I got lol but no worries its easy to fix. You just need to download a stock ROM and flash it, you don't even lose any data.
Just follow this simple guide.

Hello,
I have a co-workers Sprint LG G2 (lg ls 980)phone and I thought this would be a simple process to root. I mess with Samsung's and HTC all the time.
I have it rooted and super user is fine. I wanted to put on TWRP so he can flash different roms and themes.
The phone works great I just cant get into recovery. I tried an app called flashify and quick boot and nothing works.
So I went the old school way, probably should have done it that way from the start and pushed with adb. It shows its fine like always.
I tried that quick boot again and all I get is this message.

I was hoping there was an easier fix than doing this.
Thanks in advance.

I have done that and it still brings me to the same screen.
Sample usage
=============
First, a developer must pull the aboot image from a target device:
[email protected]:~$ adb shell
[email protected]:/ $ su
[email protected]:/ # dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot of=/data/local/tmp/aboot.img
[email protected]:/ # chmod 644 /data/local/tmp/aboot.img
[email protected]:/ # exit
[email protected]:/ $ exit
[email protected]:~$ adb pull /data/local/tmp/aboot.img
3293 KB/s (2097152 bytes in 0.621s)
if you pull the aboot I could try patching twrp for the phone

I started here and after I read and followed the directions it was pretty easy.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
His phone went back perfect.. I rerooted and he has a custom rom.
Ok I'm trying to use the same method of resetting and I'm getting the error "Download FAILED!" in red and " "Device model is different!" & "Check phone or dll." However I'm 100% sure I got the right firmware and dll and device model is correct. I've done that exact guide over and over for the past 11 hours and some other ones too. My brain is hurting, I can't boot into recovery for some reason and I'm stuck in a boot loop.
You have to be in download mode. Make sure com port is set right

Does this method remove the root? I'm just wondering as I've read a few posts about people having issues with OTA updates with rooted phones. My phone is rooted and I'm trying to figure out the best/safest route to follow once KitKat if officially released.

Judging by the experiences of others in the thread so far, don't expect to be able to flash this over 4.4.4 without ending up in a boot-loop; so just backup your data and use the factory image.

Initially Stuck at boot animation for 5 minutes.
Powered off tablet by holding power button. and powered on successfully booted
Installing apps now. but i am seeing some lags even when accessing play store
Just used the flash-all.bat through fastboot and it worked perfectly. If you dont have the PATH variables set up it wont work but the commands you need if you place the bootloader.img and the image.zip in your platform-tools folder are:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-flo-flo-04.02.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-razor-lpv79.zip
Took awhile to start up but it was all fine. running it through the paces now.
This will wipe userdata as well, just as an FYI.

Thanks, remember to give me a feedback
I saw now that i forgot to unlock the flash factory image option for all 4 Pixel, i have released an update to solve that, tell me if it works
I'm running purenexus 7.1 ROM and would like to go to Oreo stock but retain root. Is this the right tool for me?

You can't retain root after flashing a factory image. You can root the oreo factory image after you have flashed it
I take it this is for windows only?
Thanks
Thanks for this toolkit
My phone was loop in no command screen . And you save me
I have questions about this toolkit
- can I use it to flash any custom rom or just original image
- can I root my phone with toolkit
- there is another virgin of toolkit can be use in a pixel book

You can't directly flash a custom rom with this tool, you need a TWRP already flashed on your phone and you can use "Recovery Zip Flasher" ( I do not recommend it ), i think is better to put the rom on your phone and flash it from your phone.
This tool can't root directly your phone, but gives all you need to root it (Bootloader Unlock and the flash of a TWRP).
Pixel book? This tool is only available for Windows, maybe you can use it on pixelbook with a virtual machine, but i don't know how pixel book works
With the new update a i make a new recovery flasher option for devices with project treble. Test it and told me if it works

This is not a virus, it's a false positive

as usual, you need to breath your mouth without knowing what you're talking about
