So, this is an amazing phone. I just came from my Nexus One and I absolutely love it. However, the fact that the screen scratches so easily bugs the living heck out of me. I mean, it's just from when I pocket it and there is nothing I can do about it. How come it scratches so much compared to my phones in the past? I've reverted back to my Nexus One until my pouch comes here.
Also, anyone able to recommend some screen protectors that actually feel like glass that cover the whole phone? Would love to use those, but can't find any that don't feel like rubber or something, and I prefer that glass feeling.
My favourite screen protectors ever: http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/google/nexus-4.html
I'm personally rocking a SGP Spigen Dual Protector for days when I want to run my Nexus 4 naked. You can barely tell that there's a screen protector on the front and back.
I came from the Nexus One as well, but I haven't had any problem with the screen (or any other part of the N4) scratching. No screen protectors, but I am using a pouch from Waterfield Designs. Not saying OP is wrong; just saying that it's possible to do just fine with naked phone + pouch if screen protectors aren't your thing.
Had no problems with nexus 4 screen unlike my old galaxy nexus but just ordered best skin ever for awesome protection

i've read all over that the back of the nexus 4 is made from glass but it looks and feel plastic. if u tap it it even sounds plastic.
is it real glass like on iphone or its some kind of plastic?

It is real glass . even if u tap on front of the device. It sounds the same. The glass is very finely stuck to the frame of the device. Which is plastic. So u are hearing that. And there are doubt's of back part being not gorilla glass. That's it

It's glass and it will break, get a case for it or at least a skin.
I just bought a pack of five got just under $2 and it'd be a darn shame if they didn't fit.

You might have to make some modifications, but the screens are not exactly the same. Pretty different actually. The lengths might be the same, but the cut outs might not be, like the proximity sensor.

it wont fit properly for sure the speakers and front camera wont line up. The galaxy nexus has a curve to the screen that will affect the dimensions too. ive never heard of a screen protector working on more than one phone except maybe the iphones.
The screens are different sizes, speaker grill, camera and sensors are in different places.
So basically, no.
Won't fit, but you could cut some edges off !
it's not going to work. The speaker on the Gnex is completely different from the nexus 4 and then screen size is different as well. Just buy ones actually made for the phone...
Well that's a darn shame! Is there any way I can adjust the screen protector to make it fit my Nexus 4? Keep in mind that unlike some obsessive compulsives here, I don't fuss over small imperfections. So it doesn't have to be a perfect fit.
Dude, why bother with the hassle of cutting it up? Just buy some Nexus 4 screen protectors on eBay, they're like $3 for 10 pieces.

The nexus 4 screen is wider and shorter than the gnex, as the resolution is different, and completely different speaker design so no it won't work

if that's the case you might as well buy screen protectors for an iPhone and slap them on if you don't care. You can still be cheap and buy ones actually made for your phone.
You can't be serious...
It's a Nexus 4 not a GNexus. If you use a GNexus protector it will cover up the earpiece. Have you looked both phones and compare the differences of the front screen and where the earpiece, sensor and front camera are aligned?
Just buy a Nexus 4 protector and save your self the trouble of hand cutting it. Might as well put some scotch tape on the phone.

Well, you could, but it would look bollocks. Not just OCD bollocks, but actual bollocks.
Hey its only $2, I blow more money then that on the vending machines at work

Just a quick update:
The screen protectors arrived in one piece but once I took the factory protector off my Nexus 4, I was completely captivated by the glossy look and feel of my Nexus 4 in all its "naked" glory!
I'll keep these screen protectors for other gizmos I've lying around. I paid for Gorilla Glass 2 and by god I'll get it!
I just bought a replacement glass cover screen for my Galaxy Nexus and i know it doesn't have Gorilla Glass so that doesn't matter much but what about Nexus 4? Are those thirdparty made have Gorilla Glass? Anyway where's the best place to buy replacement parts for the Nexus 4?
Thanks!
So I didn't use my Nexus 7 for a few months and I picked it up today to see these weird marks on the bezel..

Anyone know what it is? It is under the glass.
This picture shows it best: http://i.imgur.com/Iqfs0g1.jpg
Looks like a ribbon cable. Presumably, whatever was adhering it to the inside surface of the glass isn't anymore. It shouldn't affect performance, just aesthetics.
