[Q] Default APN for ATT Nexus 7 3G - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sorry, if this has been answered somewhere else, but for the life of me I just can't find it.
I have a Nexus 7 3G on the ATT network. My APNs looked wrong and I can't find what the default APN should be. If anyone has it, please let me know. I've been searching for a couple hours with no luck for an APN that was specifically for the Nexus 7 on ATT.
Thanks,
--Shane

i dont use at&t but after some probing, i came across this. You might wanna try one of these and experiment which one of these work. Or you can just ask AT&T? Unless of course having a custom ROM affects the APN settings like other devices.

Nexus 7 2012 AT&T APN Settings
I know this is an old thread, but this information doesn't seem to be ANYWHERE, and I just had to flash back to stock on my nexus 7 just to get these settings (calling AT&T was useless...). There are 2 APNs on the Nexus 7 on AT&T. Neither of them are the phone APNs listed above. They are as follows:
Name: ATT Activation
APN: lwaactivate
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
APN Protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified
MVNO: None
Second:
Name: ATT Broadband
APN: broadband
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
APN Type: default
APN Protocol: IPv4
APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified
MVNO type: None
These should work for anyone out there that needs 'em!

Interesting to hear. I would, however, be cautious of Robbers I mean Rogers, billing you additional for using their LTE APN settings.

AT&T MMS APNs

Hi,
ROM: HyperDrive RLS15 (with AT&T Compatibility Pack.zip)
Baseband: MDL
I'm on AT&T, MDL base, HyperDrive ROM, and only issue I had with RLS15 is I had to put in the APN settings to get my 4G
data/internet working (my voice calls and text messaging were already okay and working).
However, now I realized I can't download incoming Multi-Media messages, like pictures via text for example:
this problem was present before I put in APN settings manually. I was wondering if anyone could direct me,
or knows the right APN settings I need for this, if any.
Thanks in advance for the help. :good:

Where do you change this information at?

ive been wondering if phone or pta is better. phone is default and gives lte, but older lte phones used pta.
I read that this is common bug on older firmware TW version. Not telling you to update just try some version of KitKat from development section.

Thanks, but it cannot be edited. Also, it seems only the entries in APN type differ

I cannot edit the entries? How do you edit?
Also, it seems your only difference from mine reset to default are entries in:
yours > APN type: default, agps, supl, mms, hipri, internet *Note* no space
mine/default > APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri,fota
so yours adds agps,
flip flops the order of mms/supl (does order matter)
deletes fota
adds internet
I see on another thread a tip that suggested changing the MMS port from 80 to 8080. He said it works for a while, and when it fails, he changes it back to 80, and so on
NOTE: ( I can't find the page) this is the main page
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1791526&page=1
The thread wanders all over the place, so read with caution. This is complicated and frustrating to have to figure out.
About the only thing I saw that I would tend to think is where it all lies is that AT&T and Verizon use different LTE and they have different protocols, and they don't "play nicely together". Since my problems all seem to be between AT&T (me and m5 phones) and Verizon (15 or so other family members from whom we 5 all have issues receiving. They never have issues within Verizon)

AT&T connectivity issues

Does anyone know why would I be seeing an H on my signal icon more often than not on my 6p with AT&T? I see the LTE logo very very few times.
What are your APN settings? Do they resemble these?...
