(Q) app - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know there are roms with a pie control that pops up at the bottom. I have an app that makes it pop up on the sides but not the bottom. I'm running rasbean.

You have an app, or you're looking for an app? If it's the latter, check out LMT: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150

Soo what is your question?

If you want it to pop up on the bottom, change gravity to bottom.

I'm not sure but I think some custom ROMs include this.
It's been a while since I used those ROMs but I think parandroid includes that feature
Sent from my Alim Haque using Tapatalk HD
AOKP offers this option.

Really trying to stay with the rom I'm on. I was able to change the soft keys manually and was hoping there would also be a manual way to do this.

Sorry.. Maybe you should be asking this in your ROM thread.

I am running the latest AOKP in tablet UI mode and hate the menu button. I am wondering if there is a way to change to the three dots.

[Q] Notification panel vibration feedback

When I browse through items in the notification panel, there is a vibration feedback. How to disable it ?
My phone is under stock 4.2.2

It's already set to off.
Did you swipe your finger down the notifications causing a glow?

I don't think there is a way. May I ask why? The feedback is very slight, not too noticeable. Might be something you just have to get used to.

That's normal, that probably tells you that you have selected an other notification in the notification shade.

New Headphones Disconnected toast

Today I noticed that when I unplug my headphones I get a toast saying that it was disconnected.
This thing occurred today so maybe Google did what Sony did and pushed a few modified files over to all the Nexus 4's on stock without any OTA's or anything like nothing happened.
Does anyone with the stock rom get this today?
Go to http://flic.kr/p/fb5Uiy for screenshot.
Cannot upload image to XDA anymore for some reason.

Stock rom, toast in Android means this black rectangular shape with text within on the bottom of the screen, refer to screenshot in the first post.

I haven't seen that toast. It could be coming from an app you have installed and not the OS. Perhaps the Zoner AV you have installed.

Your right, It is the Music Tagging app, I just greenified it so it will not occur again.
This is what happens when you think too hard when there is a simple fix.

What hardware buttons?, I am using the Google-all-clean-stock rom.
Bluetooth is off so the icon does not show which is completely normal since Android 1.5.

I never said buttons. On my G1 there use to be a headset icon indicating headphones, I can't recall if my other android devices had it tho. The BT icon was an example to emphasize where hardware based icons go relative to the status bar.

That is Google Music, you can still have that icon without earphones.
That is for changing songs from the notifications bar.

It will only work on the homescreen as this is the only app that puts something behind the status bar, go to settings>hybrid properties> slide and choose apps then on your launcher tap status bar colour
I do this but I don't know who color to choose :sly:

You choose the color for status bar and set it black (default) and use the alpha slider above. Don't forget to hit apply!
Go to: settings>hybrid properties>slide and choose interface>go to the bottom and choose "status bar color"> there is a large bar with little cubes, slide this till the end then press "new color" go back and apply. That should work.

Doing it that way I'm getting some weird looks for some apps. Think it has to do that only the launcher is able to draw under the bars...
So I'd only try setting transparency for launcher app. Works perfectly here:thumbup:
OK thanks ! I apply this only on apex and its look good
One more question , I can do this on lock screen?

Think it is the android system app that you have to change. And rebooting is recommended.

I'm on PA right now too. And transparency on lock screen works for me atm. Don't know why it doesn't for you though.
BTW would appreciate it if you hit the thanks button rather then saying thanks:beer:
