I was wondering does the amount of power equal more distance on the prophet wifi? or just better speeds?
My experience tells me that it just speeds up battery drain ... nothing else

I did see a real performance boost when I chose High Performance over Battery.
Before I touched the settings my WIFI connection was being disconnected every few seconds. But after I set that higher, I noticed that the WIFI connection was not being disconnected anymore and internet came more stable/faster.
I did do a test to see the difference and going from the lowest to medium actually double the download speed and going from medium to high just gave a little bit faster but I still dont know if it improves the distance or not
i started to copy a big file from my PC's shares onto my prophet via wlan:
with lowest battery usage:
batterystatus showed 2xx mA power usage and my network adapter was uploading with ~30kb/s
with highest performance level:
batterystatus showed 5xx mA power usage and my network adapter was uploading with ~300kb/s
i could not see any difference for the distance.
for browsing the web over wlan i think the lowest level is more than enough: browsing is limited by the cpu power and a fast data connection can't replace a fast cpu / can't reduce the page-rendering times.

i often plug my phone into the cradle which allows me to charge my phone and connect to the pc . when ever i dont on my pc. i use my phone as replacement and use it for occasionally surfing, stream online radio, while charging via the cradle.
will concurrent use of phone and consistent plugged in spoil the battery or the phone ? will this bloat ot shorten the batt life ? i notice my phone runs at 50degree celcius on tbattery. is that a normal.range ?

Lithium batteries like being topped up as opposed to running them right down so that will be good for your phone. 50c sounds a bit hot although the phone can get fairly warm while playing graphic intensive games but as long as it cools down while idling i would say that that is ok.

Wondering if there is or are anyway to calibrate Omnia battery? I think it is draining too fast, first i left my phone charging for 5hours to completely charge and just send 1 message and download Samsung App "Now" and in 1 hour since has now 92% of it. I use brightness in minimun, use Edge connection and nothing more to spend so much...in moment im using "mirolg" mi7ROM mango 8107 DFT, great by the way!

after each ROM flash i recommand the battery dicarger tool from MS Market Place.
really it works, really! It allow the battery circuitry to calibrate to the right energy level.
After flash a ROM, I let the battery completly discharging and then I charge my device for minimum 8 hours. then on 30% battery level I repeat this process. my battery has 40 - 50% longer life with the same usage.

My phone(S4 i9500) is using more battery than it could charge.. If i use my phone while charging, the battery will drain but slowly.

Change the cable/charger. The charger should be a 2A charger. Anything under will not output the maximum current possible to the phone.
A cable can also affect how much current the phone gets. Cables wear out over time making them less and less effective.
If you feel your phone is charging to slow, change the cable. A good rule of thumb is to get a thicker cables. Those usually are more effective than thinner ones.
Use an app called Ampere to measure your charging current. The S4 should have a maximum of 1900mAh charging current. Since your battery drains while it's charging, I assume you will get something like 500mAh.
Your charging probleme is not a software issue, unless the device limits the current while in use.

Its common sense when the phone is at rest , and no apps are working or when the screen is off ,there is minimal power drainage but when u use the phone or when the screen is on. There is power drainage , thus powder of the charging shows less.
When the screen is off and between 0 to 80 % it charges around 1500 mah where as when the screen is switched on or just ur doing some work the charging is at a rate of 500 to 900mah .
