It is in Chinese, but you get the date from the snapshot below. Looks like the HTC officially send invitation to the HK media.
FYI, it is not the release date for HongKong.

I heard the chinese people get's a different type of HTC One? It should have 12megapixels(not ultrapixel) and has a sd card slot?
Hmmm wonder how zoe would do with that.
I'm pretty sure Hong Kong will get the Ultrapixel version, not the Chinese version.

There are rumors that the Contract version with China Mobile will feature a 8 megapixel camera.
That would just do for China mainland.

Yeah, Hong Kong will get the HTC One with the same specs as everywhere else, but it will also have traditional Chinese support.
Just Google Hong Kong SAR, to find out why it isn't really part if China.

Well, HK is absolutely Chinese territory.
There is something called "One Country, Two Systems" which you should know.
That is not what we are trying to talk about here.
This version has an SD card option?

Much like in EU Great Britain, England & Wales are seperated but all of them are getting the same variant.

Nah hong Kong gets the best of both worlds. They get the xiaomi, meizu phones etc as well as the international samsungs, htcs, nexus line etc
Based on the phones available in HK I would say almost 100% internatipnal 4mp version, but no doubt a few places will sell the China one

For the longest time many in Taiwan and many in Hong Kong look down on Chinese Mainlanders and view themselves as being the better people when all in all they are all Chinese lol.. This usually irks the Mainlanders from China along with those from Taiwan and Hong Kong. I have been Asia for quite some time now and am not Chinese. At the end of the day they are all Chinese. Yes the ones in Hong Kong are from Hong Kong and the ones from Taiwan are from Taiwan but at the end of the day all of them are Chinese!
Back to the main topic of smartphones, Hong Kong usually gets the international edition and usually the one with 4G or LTE which is nice. In Taiwan HTC pretty much Fuc*ed their own people over by being stingy and taking out the 4G/LTE option and just selling their device with the 3G model. Then HTC wonders why they lose market share to Samsung and others

Hello.
I live in sweden and i'm very interested in purchasing a magician. Since everything is so expensive here in sweden and im going to USA soon i thougt i might be able to buy one there! Theres only one problem:
I don't know if the US version works here in sweden!?
If it doesn't, does anyone know how to change it so it does?
Im going to New York, manhattan, does anyone know a good and cheap place to buy it around there?
I would be EXTREMELY grateful for any answer
Cheers!

Buy from Germany.
US version is not out yet, and it won't work well in Europe.
What currently sells in US is the European 900MHz version.
Since i'm going to USA and the $ is very low right now, i'm not going to buy it from germany, and what do u mean with "European version" ? Germany is in europe, isn't it?
Do u know when it comes to USA then? I'm going there in the end of Februari
The US version will run 850MHz
THe other version 900MHz.
European phone networks run on 900. The 850MHz is not out yet so they're only selling the other version now in the US.
How much do you expect to pay in dollars?
i have no idea really... @ expansys USA it costs $ 649 so, maybe $ 700 maybe, i don't know how much more it costs in the stores....

I bought at blueshop24.de but I would be an idiot if I recommended them. Try mobilejoker, lower price higher shipping, turns out the same.
I got my phone yesterday have reflashed it to english, piece of cake, and made sure the t-mobile modifcations didnt get installed.
I'm really satisfied for now, but there is a lot to explore
is there any warranty? Wouldn't be so fun if something gets broke like a pixel and u can't fix it....
And is there any site in english, spanish or swedish ? Not so good at german...
How long does the shipment take?
I'm still thinking of buying it in New York, but not shure....
Thank's for all your help!
I used www.freetranslation.com to convert the text to English when filling the forms.
My shipping took about 1 week and a half because I placed my order in the middle of the christmas break.

Yes the Imate Jam which are currently being sold in the U.S. will work in Europe, they are selling the 900mhz model. Same as what you would buy in Europe/UK. Imate has not yet released the 850mhz version and will not till around mid february there abouts. So all the jams that are sold now are the 900mhz band. I purchased one from expansys.com and it is the 900mhz with the UK 3 prong charger.
Thanks! Finally someone who talk so i can understand But, can anyone pleaase explaine to me what 900 mhz and 850 mhz is and what is the differens and so on. Maybe a dumb question but i have no idea!
And what does the UK charger look like?
THANKS!

European networks use 900MHz.
Most US networks work on 850. I think T-Mobile works on 900 in some places and so very few Americans can use the Jam that's currently on sale in the US.

I thought about getting it from Germany as well, but I didn't want the trouble of dealing with Germans if the device breaks or malfunctions in any way. The legislation is good for consumers in Sweden and I wouldn't want to loose that.
For example, my S100 will need some service, so right now I'm glad that I bought it in Sweden. One corner of the back is a bit loose, but I guess the service center can solve that problem easily.

Put 2+2 together perhaps? There's no such thing as a free lunch! You want the 5 yr Swedish warranty instead of the low foreign prices? Fine - you need to pay for it.
Me personally, I dont plan on keeping any of these devices for more than 1 year before I sell it, so I'd rather not pay the Scandinavian prices....

What I'm saying is that if, or rather when as in my case, I will have to return the device for service, during that 1st year, I'd rather not talk to a "no comprende" speaking German who doesn't want to add costs to his logistics.
This is the particular kind of device I want an effective warranty on because of any peculiar oddities that might occur - high tech, very new to the market, no service record. And as I said, my S100 will need some service.
But, of course, there are a lot of perfectly good dealers out there, and most of the time, most of those aren't the cheapest ones. It's easy to shoot oneself in the foot, but service and support doesn't come free, in Scandinavia nor any place else.
And it is still up to every and all to decide where to put their money, just wanted to add my few cents.

Only 2 hours of driving from Israel
Just kidding... Of course Israel is no included in the middle east releases... We have here a very bad importer! It took them forever to get the first Note. (They import fast only the Galaxy S series)

I asked Handtec and they told me that the model they have in stock is 3G only

I checked a Saudi Telecom company website to check if they have the note and its their for pre-orders and in the listings it says 4G,but honestly the whole middle east will get the international version which INDEED have 4G, but we already dont have 4G so its quite useless maybe that's what he meant that it wont work so only 3G will work :fingers-crossed:

I wouldn't recommend to buy without warranty, you end up paying around a 100 $ less and take a risk of getting a faulty device.

Grab one off of Ebay or something, don't settle for the gold, the Blue Coral is actually very very good looking in real life.
The one I bought here in Pakistan had French branding, so I'm sure it'll be launched in Europe.
Also, the box had the sticker on it saying 'European SIM card only', so I'm sure the device will be launched there.

I'm not sure if there is a G935F single SIM one since the shop I went to only had 935FD Duos models. I agree the Duos texts really ruins the look of the phone, it's even worse on my Black Onyx S7e.
As for the shoes, I'm quite surprised that whoever I showed this picture to also noticed my shoes 😂
Then again, considering the coral blue that I bought had a European ROM on it, I'm sure a single SIM variant will exist and be available somewhere.

There was a modification you could do that would require you to peel off the gold part of your SIM card and glue it on to a microSD card and use them both at the same time, but:
1) There were reports of SIM trays getting jammed.
2) It could damage your SIM card.
3) Samsung might have disabled it with a software update.
The second slot is a hybrid slot, you can either use it as a second SIM card slot or an SD card slot but not both.
My Nexus 5x was bought last year from Hong Kong and got a bootloop issue just after the warranty :crying: So far, i know google has known this issue and there is a recall in US, Korean LG has offered a unlimited warranty to this bootloop issue. However, LG customer center from Hong Kong has rejected any maintenance of the cpu if outside its warranty
Thereafter, i decided to send my 5x to China for CPU fixing, as the RAM is packed with the CPU together, the guy suggested me upgrading it to 3 or 4 GB RAM. That's how the 4GB RAM 5X comes out.
I've tested the OTA works fine from 6.0.1 to 7.1.1, all functions works fine too. :highfive:

How does it work? #106
Since i posted this post, i learnt something about the CPU from 5x, and how can it be upgraded, let me explain to you guys first. :highfive:
The packaging technique of 5x is using PoP, or package on package, which the processor package has pads on the top for the RAM chip and BGA on the bottom to attach to the PCB, its saves board space at the expense of assembly cost. This simply means the RAM sits on top of the SoC.
http://www.androidauthority.com/how-it-works-systems-on-a-chip-soc-93587/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Package_on_package
As fixing this bootloop issue, you have to remove the whole SoC+RAM block, so why not upgrade the RAM chip together?

Can you provide us an email address, or any other way to contact the guy who "upgraded" your 5X? I would be interested (me and many others) in ordering the necessary part/s, and to do the transplant/implant operation at a local service...
Thanks in advance!

btw, if your devices isn't get into Bootloop issue, i don't recommend you to upgrade it,
take your own risk if your devices cannot boot up after upgrade

:highfive:

Pre-ordered Black Ultra for me. Don't know if it is Dual SIM version. The customer support said to me it supports one nano SIM and e-SIM. Can anyone confirm?
Since the screen supports 120hz but only at 1080p due to battery drainage. Do you think through root etc that they will be able to support the 1440p like the 60hz?

Earlier today I pre-ordered an S20 Ultra and I was wondering about the same thing. What needs to be done to get the 120Hz on full resolution - Is it just a software limitation?

According to a user on whirlpool that spent an hour talking to samsung support. Yes and no to your question. If you purchased through any carrier (optus, voda, telstra etc) there is NO dual sim of any kind, even though the phone supports it, it has been disabled.
However if you bought outright through jb hifi etc or samsung directly then yes, dual sim is available.
Hopefully its just a matter of flashing a non carrier firmware over the phone to enable dual sim like some other brands but time will tell.
Gott the email from Samsung stating the delivery date shown wrong (5 March 2020) and it is now 26 March 2020. Anyone else got this email?

March 26th?! I sure hope that's not the case in the US when pre orders start next Friday. Release date supposed to be March 6th.
Yeah, my pre-order confirmation said 26th....
Wonder why it changed to 3 weeks later. Not looking good...
I thought it was maybe because I ordered the 512, or I was a bit late and missed the first run?

Yes they have copied the official specs. Like i said, its internally there just not enabled due to being a carrier phone. This is not the first time they have done this. Optus, telatra, vodafone all will only have single sim activatible according to samsung level 3 techs themselves

Cancelled my order from Samsung. Found that Westpac employees get 20% off all the S20 series. Going to get help from one of my mate who works in Westpac. I could save $450. But Westpac orders doesn't come with Bud+. It comes with Wireless Power bank.

Yes, I am
Yes,
upgrading from S10+ 512GB to S20 Ultra 512GB
I've ordered the 512gb version and it's arriving on the 26th. It said rust at time of order. The 512 version was always delayed in Australia, something to do with stock of those beasts.
Anyone planning to root your new Galaxy S20 Ultra?
I am searching for reliable procedure on how to root. I am not sure if esim still works after rooting.
