do you 45 monthly then? if you buy it everyday?
Well if you need to use data everyday then you might want to switch to the other type of prepaid plan. I believe then have several types of plan from 30-70 per month.
I am using the $50 plan unlimited with 100 mb data

Cheapest Data Plan?

I know that a data plan is required to use a smart phone with Verizon. Can someone tell me if I can use the $10/75MB plan if I went out and bought the xperia Play? The reason being, I am only 16 and really don't need an expensive data plan. I would just turn off the mobile connect and use WiFi for my Internet needs. So is the 10$ plan an option? If not, what's the cheapest plan I can get? I am an emulator junkie and I would love to only carry one device with me. Yet I don't have a job so a $30 dollar plan is a no-no

Looks like it will be $30 for 2 GB's. At least according to Cnet. That's the minimum for smart phones.

Well crap, Could it be possible where you could change a file to where Verizon thinks its a dumb phone?

I don't think there is, but I could be wrong. I don't know that much about Verizon.

Won't happen though there used to be a promotional data plan of 15$ for 150mb gotta find someone who could either do it or find someone on that plan and pay them to. Take it.

Can you buy a smartphone without a plan and still make it a wireless hotspot?

Just wondering if you can buy a smartphone, then root it and download a wireless tether app then successfully make it a wireless hotspot. Possible or no?
No.

There is the slight problem that "without a plan" you won't get any service.
What are you trying to accomplish? You could probably do it from a T-Mobile prepaid thing.

Well it would probably work if you have some Internet device. T-Mobile has a good 30 dollar deal if you get a 3G capable phone on their frequencies.

I'll assume you would be able to get prepaid data on a off-contract phone and get what you are looking to accomplish.

It says there is no mobile hotspot feature with the unlimited data. If I root my phone, tether it, and use it for my internet connection at home anyways, is there anything they can/will do about it?

Pretty sure they can and will. You should read their terms of service
:good:
I would love to switch to an unlimited plan but T-Mobile doesn't have very good reception where I live.

No they can only moniter your phone if you have the stock ROM on it...custom ROMs will let you tether problem free

I currently have unlimited with 5gb of high speed. Does this mean I have to change my data plan? I hate the slow speed I get cause I use my 5gb pretty quickly. No cap would be amazing.

I would switch to tmobile, but I don't think it will work very fast with my desire hd. any info would be good
That's funny because my moms GS2 is running a custom ROM and T-Mobile would direct her to a page telling her to upgrade to mobile hotspot.

AT&T AOL(unlimited data)

Hi have 4 unlimited AT&T lines that I want to give away. I've heard doing a transfer of ownership with AT&T doesn't work the same as Verizon. Is it true with AT&T that unlimited data won't transfer?
Did you try calling and asking? What features do you have on your account? I know art doesn't offer A-list anymore do you still have that?

Do you get completely unlimited data?how much a month for a line. Thanks
