Hello XDA Supporters!
I just wanted to highlight an article I done on my site recently that has some cool tips & tricks including a way to FEEL your music!
Check it out here: http://fhl09.wordpress.com/2013/03/15/galaxy-s3-quick-tips/.
I welcome feedback on the tips & if you have an additional tips please share them via the comment section on the article itself, not here!
You can leave feedback on this post about my article or you can do it on the article itself either way I will read & maybe even respond (highly likely).
Thanks for your time & thanks XDA Developers for (hopefully) letting this stand however if there is a problem with me linking to my site please let me know, I don't intend to disrespect these forums I am just sharing knowledge with others.
Thanks again everyone!

A thought occurred to me here while just browsing the forums.
If it doesn't already exist, I'm wondering how many senior members as well as new members might be interested in having a place where live dialog could be done. Many a time I could see threads and posts by people looking for help or just making a simple query out of curiosity waited days or weeks before seeing a resolve or no answer at all on ones which the answer was easy. I've taken a few that looked like no answers that I was reasonably sure I was correct and posted an answer to and thusly those people probably at least if they did get a resolve went away thinking at leastsomeone was watching wanting to share knowledge and experience. Now while I know it could not replace the overall usefullness of a forum, as with a forum the answer is only a search away. Some answers could be resolved without saying "search the forum" or more degrading and sarcastic answers like "Why don't people just learn to use google to search" coming from an It support background I understand there are people that don't fully understand search engines or forums but are very good at following step by step instruction or pointing directly to a link to a post on the forum.
So my idea is a reasonably setup irc server with channels named properly to reflect the device of interest "Blue Angel" "Hermes" "Elf" "Universal" etc. where a person could go for quick explination or direction. and talk live to other members.
also a general discussion area for say windows mobile in general, or even just general rant about achievements or development feedback and idea sharing with more experienced developers who want to join in.
I don't know if this I already available as I haven't seen any that relate to this forum. But I think it would be a good resoure to both new and more senior and experienced users to have available.
Please feel free to give your feedback on this idea, but as I know how forums can be.
Please keep your feedback constructive and professional like the intelligent and respectful people I've seen so far.
Thanks
Note: yes to answer this ahead of time I'm thinking about starting up something like this or would be willing to help set it up if the owners of this forum would be interested. feel free to move this thread to a more proper section as you see fit
You are right it requires a lot
Hi everybody,
Let me introduce myself. I'm M_T_M , your new forum mod for the HTC Wallaby.
I've been on xda-developers for over a year now. Mostly visiting the devices I own and supporting other forums with the experince I've gathered on this great site. Maybe some of you have seen me lately in the forums helping a little.
Now, I'm happy and honored to be appointed to the HTC Wallaby forums to provide mod assistance to all of you in the best way I can to this great community.
I'm here to help you and I expect the same from all of you .
If you experience any other way of approach from members, feel free to contact me through PM, or report the post by using the "!" button in the post.
Additionally, I want to let you know that I'll be doing some forum maintenance (cleaning threads addressing an already discussed topic or an off topic, moving threads or posts to proper sections) for making it easier to all of you get the information you are seeking and keeping the forum clean.
Cheers
I very much enjoy the XDA forums. I also frequent the Modaco blade forum.
My biggest annoyance is that Modaco Blade forum has become overrun with repetitive posts from newcomers.
If you scan the first page there are so many "How do I..." or "Help!..." posts and if you go to the second page you'll usually see the same question with an answer. This does not make me want to frequent the forum which is a shame because I am passionate about android and this phone.
I very much support newcomers but believe there should be structure to the support given.
I created a video guide and it just got lost in the depths of Modaco, then about a week later there were a few posts such as "How do I put video on my blade?" etc.
PLEASE create a forum just for support questions like "How do I change the brightness?!" This will make me stay at XDA Blade.
Thanks,
Andy
That's what general if for post tips and guides when enough ill compile a sticky same as other sub forums 'in the meantime will stick anything important'
Sent from my BladeVillain using XDA App
Got it. Good to know there's active structure.

Hi All! I have the honor of being assigned here as one of your new Forum moderators. I am new to your forum and hope to get to know everyone here. If there are any issues that need addressing please feel free to PM me and I will do what I can to resolve the situation. And everything Weudel said in the post above..LOL.
Quick blurb, I have moderated private websites such as BonsaiGeek. I have put out several themes and ROMs for the Samsung Epic so understand the hard work devs do to put their work out for nothing but the joy of people enjoying their work.
I look forward to serving as your moderator.
Since it is only myself and _Arjen_ assigned here I am opening up this thread for discussion, greetings and concerns.
Hi Everybody!
Welcome aboard!

Be kind to the new mods everyone. Remember to be respectful to each other and post questions only in Q&A not development or general.
It has been a pleasure serving as your Friendly Neighborhood Moderator.

Hi
My name is Tom and I'm one of the new moderators here. I like post-rock music, cooking and ROM making. If you have some issues/questions, please PM me and I'm sure we'll find a solution.
Some rules:
0. Follow the rules.

See you soon
Hi, I'm Kenny and I like long walks on the beach......what? Oh, it's not that kind of intro? Oh OK.
Well hi all I have the distinct honor of sharing the Moderator roll here and hope to help keep this new forum fun for all.
I am honored to be your Friendly Neighborhood Moderator.
To keep me friendly though please do not get into flaming matches. If someone is disrespectful please mash the report button rather than engage them further. In other words don't feed the trolls.
Also please post questions in Q&A. Those are the biggies.
I have put out a few themes and ROMs for the Epic 4G so know what it is like from the developer side. So please respect the developers. Without them xda-developers would be xda-facebook or something.
Thank you all!
FNM

Welcome
Just give Chainfire or some other developer some time to root this device. As it's Samsung, rooting it shouldn't be too difficult (I guess )
And yes, you can buy SIII Mini almost everywhere.
I was wondering if the rooting will allow cell unlock.
I am asking this to know what to do: wait for root or go to a Samsung service for cell unlock.
root will not unlock the device, but I wish some great devs will developing for this S3 mini, wich is a very great phone imho
Hello all,
I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm graffixnyc and I have recently been assigned to help moderate the forum. If you guys have any issues please do not hesitate to let me know. As always, please follow the rules and treat each other with respect.
as much as i would like to believe that the rules follow some logical flow and understanding and are in place due to experience and historical events that have taken place on the XDA forums
i have a small issue with the rule of not being able to post in the developer section until having made 10 posts
from my experience in doing some small dev work i would not want to be harassed directly for help with a solution that i provided
i would not want to be getting several PM's asking the same question from several different people all because they were not able to post their question on the thread where i provided the solution
since we are unable to post in a thread our questions or suggestions that leaves only one place to be able to post, the Q&A section
leading to the risk of multiple duplicate posts and resulting in more work for the moderators to clean up
what would be the correct way to get around this issue whilst still following the rules?
