Bypass USB Problem. - Galaxy Note 10.1 General

Hello, sorry for my English.
You can use USB devices with high power consumption such as LAN adapters in the Galaxy Note N800?
Using a LAN adapter in a Chinese tablet from 100 euro without problems.
How is it that a tablet less able to do things that the N8000 does not it?
And 'possible to bypass the problem?
Thank you.

ADE-X1 /w N8000
Axago ADE-X1 USB LAN adapter doesn't work with my N8000.
I don't think there is any possibility to "bypass" the problem

[Q] USB Ethernet?

Just wondering, since my Thinkpad Tablet has that handy USB port, can I plug in a USB ethernet adapter? Would be very handy for configuring network hardware and the like.
Thanks
Try it. I'd be eager to see what you come up with!
Me too.

It might work, but you need the correct USB to RJ45 Ethernet adapter for Android devices.
Funny, I was wondering the same thing yesterday. Love to know outcome.

Hello,
i bought in Germany an Medion Lifetab P9516, its a Lenovo Ideapad K1.
This week we got the update of ICS and so i have ethernet with a d-link usb-ethernet adapter.
The adapter is a DUB-E100 adapter and i get the ip-address dynamicly.
I can see the ip with ifconfig and the route with ip route, but i cant change the ip because the device is not rooted.
Is here anyone who rooted his device with ICS and can give a little advice?
Thanks a lot
Wolfgang
P.S. Please apologies my bad english.

What I use and is really sweet is a Bluetooth to serial adapter. They are a little high in price though compared to a USB Network adapter.
There are multiple companies that make them but this has been my favorite one so far - http://www.g2microsystems.com/products/RN_270
I use it with a free app called blueterm and can config anything with a console/serial cable from my phone or tablet.

Pimping Out Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 - USB host & cam questions

Hello everyone.
I am currently modding Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 for car instalation and everything seems to be great except I have problems with two things:
1) As the tab will be also my main music player I would need an USB host from time to time (check: http://www.expansys.si/samsung-usb-adapter-for-galaxy-tab-series-no-30-pin-to-sd-slot-229630/ ). It would be hard to switch that adapter with power supply just for the time I need to stick USB in it so I am asking if anyone knows if it is possible to have both active at the same time: power supply and USB host? Or if anyone has some other interesting idea how to transfer data to tablet asap from time to time? Please note that it will be really hard to reach it when installed.
2) Since the tab has back camera (which is useless to me in cars interior) i was thinking if there is any possible way to get that camera out of the tab with some extender or something? I've been looking at the interior of a tablet and the camera doesnt look to be attach in any other way than just a flat cable. Any ideas?
Thank you guys for your help in advance!

It sound like this will be a permanent installation.
Instead of €22 for an adapter, I'd rather use a breakout and hardwire:
http://www.kineteka.com/galaxy-tab-connector.aspx
This will also allow you to wire the earphone output also.
Yes, with many devices you can charge and do host mode at the same time.
It's mostly a question of convincing your device to play nicely with a non-standard operation.
You can just bring out the USB leads or hardwire in a hub for more options, like a keyboard.
I'd use a DC converter circuit board hardwired instead of a cigarette lighter adaptor.
Something like this, maybe: http://www.lightobject.com/LM2576-High-Input-7V40V-Switching-5V-Power-Module-Regulator-P549.aspx
I think somewhere in the Tab 10.1 forums, someone figured out the proper wiring for a powered USB host adapter. 90% certain that would also work on Tab 2 7.0

No. The USB adapter can only connect pen drives but cannot access internet. I had to buy a portable Wifi router (Rs. 1190 in INDIA). Its a small router (size of a dongle) with a battery of about 4 hours. Using that to transmit the internet to tab through Wifi.
Is there any chance to use some custom rom on tab 5110 and after that to use usb 3g modem?

connect Android with LAN - ethernet driver download

Hi,
I have a problem with connecting my Android device (Samsung Galaxy A5 SM-A510F (2016)) via a ethernet adapter and a OTG cable with LAN.
I bought an ethernet adapter and an OTG cable on ebay.
I rooted my Galaxy A5 successfully.
I downloaded the apps "BusyBox" and "Ethernet" (the app "Ethernet" should enable all settings needed to get USB ethernet). This app does not come with any drivers!
I also tried to connect my device using an active USB hub.
However, you obviously need the ethernet driver on the smartphone (which is not yet installed on Galaxy A5).
Does anybody know how I can get this driver?
Or does something else cause the problem?
Are there some better apps for connecting a device to LAN? (for example one which already comes with ethernet drivers)
Thanks for your efforts!
Best regards,
Simon

Samsung J7 730F Ethernet connexion with OTG USB Ethernet adapter

Dear,
I would like to be able to connect on internet using lan cable with an OTG ETHERNET adapter, as my son have some medical trouble linked to the "wifi", i have to remove it from my house.
After looking through google, some newer samsung have this posibilities, and seem to be directly link to the kernel.
I've found some tips to change the setting of the kernel for Samsung Edge but it's not working on my J7. After checking with a console ETH0 appear as down and i'm not able to change it by myself.
Did you know any custom kernel or room who can enable this function.
Kind Regards
