Using "Root Explorer" a file manger app; find the system/build.prop folder; within build.prop look for the DNS settings towards the bottom of the file and change as needed/recommended per your carrier, i.e. T-Mobile for me.

So I took out the "NAND" but I don't understand your vagueness: There is an WMRom listed, it's VBN and it's the first link, there is another link for EBL, the autoboot app, etc.
Too many words, too few spaces between lines. Just a whole mess of words. Your info is good but "search" covers all this. Now one more result to sift through.

Thanks for the feed-back! I know it's a lot, but there are a lot of questions that repeat themselves that this would help to answer, especially for "Noobs". Obviously, for more "seasoned" members, we have gone through most of this when we set things up for the first time, or, believe it or not, even though we've been at this for a while some of these are new to us. I clean-it-up-a-bit and hopefully make it easier to read.
Merry Christmas!

Do you have "Titanium back-up", "ES file explorer" or "Root explorer"?
I have "Root Explorer" on my apps link.
But, here you go;

Hey guys! forgive me for this stupid question ... I'm thinking of buying a nexus 7 arrived in Italy these days ... I decided to look at the development section to see which Rom were already available
I was amazed to see that there are two sections of development:
- Nexus 7 Android Development (for the Asus Nexus 7)
- Development Nexus 7 Original (Original development for the Nexus 7)
hardware diferences?
I don't understand what the differences are? could you explain?
sorry for my bad English ... : (

Check your connection setting when plugging your phone into the computer. It should not be set as "usb mass storage". Select "charge only". ADB should find your phone then.

And USB debugging should be ticked in development settings.
I believe there are some guides around for setting up adb on win 7 64 bit. Did you check one of those?
Also, link me to your adb setup guide.

Aaaah! Not that question again.
That's like asking what the best car is. You have to decide that for yourself. There are roughly 2 million threads asking that question.
What are you looking for in a ROM? Maybe we can offer some suggestions. Sense? AOSP? CM? AOKP? Miui? Gingerbread? Ice Cream Sandwich? Jelly Bean? Give us some quidelines.

Hands down the best rom in here and believe me I have tried them all from GB to JB has got to be the one located in...........
Moral of the story is do your own research and the best rom is the one you end up liking the most
Edit: Also its a loaded question and I would try not to really ask that one anymore since its really a question you can only answer for yourself/ Jus Sayin'

We have plenty of JB ROMs here, but they aren't 100%. You will get 100% with ICS, mainly because of the hard work put into aospx. Still, the JB ROMs are more than usable in my experience. Check out codersz and cnote74's recent stuff.

Hmm, if Gmail and the market apps work I'm going to assume you installed the linked Gapps for your MOD or it came with it. Try downloading the calendar from the market. The one CM comes with is indistinguishable but maybe installing from the market will get you the right version.

Do you know if your rom and kernel support init.d? And if so, do you have busybox installed? Maybe try ensuring that stuff is there and see if it works. Good luck! If you get it working, mind posting a vid of it in action? I'm vewy curious now lol

According to a touchwiz rom (OB7) the path is:
/sys/class/leds/(color)
Color can be: blue, green, red, white
I'm no master of code for linux yet but i think maybe the following code:
Code:
echo mmc0 > /sys/class/leds/led:rgb_blue/trigger;
Gets changed to the following code:
Code:
echo mmc0 > /sys/class/leds/blue/trigger;
Maybe? I'm not 100% on that but just a guess. What do you think? Of course, the trigger file has a bunch of "triggers" in it already so just be sure to back it up just to be safe before trying this.

You can follow other guides. I tried it once. It's pretty simple. There is a build.prop edit (I think it's setting ro.build.type to userdebug) and then enabling multi window in developer options.

It seemed stable enough but it's not very user friendly. It took a little while to figure out the controls. It's not very straightforward and a little confusing. There's no X or anything at the top of the window to close it which is weird and you can't swipe it away either. It has to been done in the task manager. And then I kept getting spammed in the notification bar by Motorola for feedback on Attentive display, which I was using by the way. If you're not using it you shouldn't have that problem and I think that's from making the build user debug. But it is experimental so I would expect some bugs or they would have put it the final version.
