Stock ROM with CM power wigdet - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys. I have looked for it seems like weeks. I flashed a stock ROM that had some cm cherry picks like the notification power widget, lock screen targets, etc. Now I can't find it anymore. Does anyone know which ROM this is? Thanks guys.

Slider shortcuts?

How do I add shortcuts to the lockscreen slider? Do I need to install a custom ROM, such as Liquid Jelly Bean?
Tried searching but couldn't find anything specific.
Thanks
Most Cyanogenmod based roms have this feature. Find one you like.

Gah, I don't want to have to start again with apps/settings etc. I might give it a while! Thanks

Few questions about N4

Hi folx.
I got this phone today.
So i have few questions about it. All questions consider rooting phone, but not putting custom rom
1. Is Light Manager working on this phone or we are doomed to use Light flow?
2. Can i put some shortcuts to unlocking circle?
3. How can i remove google search bar on stock launcher?
4. Can i add some more shortucts to switches menu in notification bar?
5. Can i change color on softbuttons?
If i remember something more, i will write it here
Thanks i advance

Hi,
1) Light Manager works perfectly, I use it.
2) Custom rom.
3) Not possible if I remember right, need to use an alternative launcher like Nova / Apex or a moded stock launcher.
4) Custom rom or maybe with an existing mod (I doubt)?
5) Custom rom or take a look here but here the colors are limited.
Mainly what you are asking is in almost all the custom roms...
Thanks a lot for response!
Tell me, is it possible to add wather widget on lockscreen as widget?
Thanks in advance

Check out dash clock widget. If that's not what you're looking for and want full size widgets then try a custom ROM.

Many custom ROMs have a feature that allows you to put any widget on the lockscreen.
It looks like you need to start flashing!
Ahhh.. I wanted to use stock for few weeks.. Ive heard that there is one kernel that is working best with stock rom and makes battery life much more better.
P.s. can i recieve ota if i am rooted?
P.p.s. does build number affect ota updates (like on galaxy nexus)?

Is stock good enough for you?

Hey N4 users, how many of you are satisfied with stock 4.3?
I used to flash ROMs but I typically just stay on stock 4.3 now. I use a quick settings mod to add more tiles and an extended power menu mod to get reboot options. Other than that stock is all I need.

:good:
Flashed many roms ,tried about 6-7 roms and I realized that stock is good enough for me. I'm using battery % mod + advanced reboot ,it's enough.
I really enjoy with 4.3 stock rom.
Never was.

Honestly, not a fan of the Nav bars, so no Stock for me. I feel that they take up more space than they should. I ♥ extra screen space.

I use an app called fullscreen, and stock rom is fine after a few personalisation tweaks (playing with MUIU theme icons currently). Oh yeah..Pie Control App, Power Toggles, etc...apps really can extend usefulness like roms do, just have to hunt for them.
I need the long press navbar action, and better toggles.
Instead of flashing different mod a custom Rom is much easier.
Not for me. I like the extras, changes under the hood, ect the custom ROMs bring.

Yes. I've run stock on my phones since the Galaxy Nexus was released. I don't have the desire to do the custom ROM song and dance when stock does everything I want it to do.

I'm very satisfied with stock! The only issue is I wish with the default launcher you could change the pages, that's my only complaint... I wish I didn't have to use apex on top of default...

Generally speaking I would say yes, stock is great, but there are aspects to using something like Paranoid Android (lubz me some PIE) as well as CyanogenMod (volume rockers to change songs is something I simply cannot live without these days), so generally I will use a device for a period of time when it's new to my ownership stock, then do the research and find a custom ROM to try out, then another if needed, then tweaks (custom kernels, undervolting, etc).
Same old same old as everyone else for the most part I suppose.
i had mine for 9 months before i decided to try a custom ROM...
The nexus 4 is the only android phone I've owned and kept as stock which is kind of ironic.

I completely agree. My previous phone was a SGS2 and I flashed a new ROM the day I got mine. My N4 however I have decided to keep stock since 4.3 was released and so far I have been pleased.

Custom ROMs are significantly and noticeably faster and more responsive. Besides on stock lte is broken...

after i unwrapped it, my phone was stock long enough to download a custom rom. kinda like when you first installed windows and you use IE long enough to download chrome or firefox. same idea
I'm on stock right now

On stock ROM now and while I do miss the volume rocker buttons and expanded lockscreen on custom roms, I am also happy without it.
I've been waiting for CM 10.2 Stable...so I guess that answers that.
Stock... No need for custom Roms anymore. Hell even the stock kernel is good now.

ROM finding help.

Is there a kit kat rom with all of the stock g2 features? I.E. - Knock on, ringtone fade when picked up, flip to silence incoming call, flip to snooze alarm, smart video, etc. You may ask, why do you want a new rom? Well, I have had this phone since Christmas, loving it btw, but after almost 2 months of having it, the stock rom is getting stale, but I want all those features. I also don't like launchers, they all seem artificial to me, even the highly praised ones. If not a rom, than maybe a custom kernal would add some new features?

No stock KitKat Rom yet. The reason is that the source code has yet to be released so the Devs don't have anything to build from.
I can recommend AeonFlex if you want a stock base ROM that is awesome. There are several Roms out there. Just give one a try. Or you could also go CM kitkat.
Thank you. I am downloading aeon rihht now, I will sideload it and see how I like it before flashing.
