Stuck in the Upgrade Screen .. Help Plz... ;(
Here is the situation....
My friend told me to root his SHW-110s (anycall) and i searched internet and i found a guide it says upgrade to gingerbread and then flash "Tegrak-Kernel-Build-26-for-M110S-VG26" kernel . science the phone was already updated to gingerbread i just checked the driver (Samaung mobile Modem and Samsung USB Composit Driver) if thats all that is needed !!! and tried to flash the kernel and it was stopped in SetupConnection... in odin.. I didn't backup EFS or anything... what could possibly go wrong... and sometimes it goes little ahead from SetupConnection.. to Initializing...in odin........
I tried the recovery kit method but it also stopped in SetupConnection in odin...oh and one thing... So any other method except JTAG(If that works with that phone..) or any recommendation.. I really need help because my friend's brother (Who brought this phone from abroad ) wont understand the situation.. i hope you can understand...

good day..
i finish download the c-rom kk v7.1 20140622 hlte
and im having problem installing it..
i already done
- rooting my phone
- CWM for note 3 (latest)
- released develeper mode
- perform wipe data/ factory reset, wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache
everytime i install i get aborted by CWM...
Please, need some help.., need advice

This ROM is not for the N900 models.

im fairly new to Custom ROMs,but I have tested 15-20 ROMs,including diff AOSP, AOKP,TW based ROMs to and I must say I really like C-ROM 4.4.4 v.7.1 of yours. I think I will stick to your ROM since I like ribbon options, and far as possible away from Touchwiz since I grown fond of AOSP.
However there are a few things I would like to ask if possible.
Im wondering if its possible to get the Brightness slider when you pull down notification bar down on the left side.
Also I really like the idea that I can use a image on lockscreen different from the one I have on my homescreens,but I cant for some reaason,is there a way for me to do this on your ROM?
im using TWRP right now, this is probably a dumb question but do those with CWM or clockworkrecovery get better ROm options or extra features?
And the last question is
The Themes under personalization is empty and I would like to install bootanimations and choose that one over the other one in case ive grown tired of it,is there a way for me to do that?
I want to thank the devs making the C-ROM,its truly is the greatest ROM for me out there

I have a question.
Does anyone know how to turn off the popup screens of certain apps? Chrome seems to refuse to open as a full screen app these days and chooses to open as a popup screen all the time. It's kinda really annoying with this particular situation and I can't seem to figure out where I should go to in the settings.

Are you talking about the main browser that comes with the rom? I don't use chrome but I use the rom version. I have not had a problem with this. I will see if I can find the settings for that.

Anyone know how to enable alert on call? So I can get text message notifications during a call via either light sound or vibration? As of right now it does nothing if I am on a call and I constantly have to check.

Download the themes showcase from the play store. There are a few free ones and plenty to purchase as well. I use Tang Cm 11 and I love it.

The plan was for all of the exynos variants. Hopefully he will change it to all exynos instead of n910c

I have a SM-N910U and I can betatest whenever you wish...I am form AR just in case, different timezones.
On the other hand, I have heard that some modems are somehow able to be 'opened' frequency-wise; could you please tell if XMM 7260 documentation specifies more frequencies than the one officially supported (sorry my ignorance in this matter; I am just remembering what happened to AT&T Note III QC hacked to Verizon coverage or viceversa). I may need to consult @AndreiLux about this question.

This is the first time I want to install a ROM on my device. and need a help on how to install a CM12 ROM and how to wipe dalvik cache in my N910C (Note4-Brazil). I rooted it 1 month ago and it is on Android L. ^^"
I know you are veterans, renowned developers and are probably tired of answering these questions, but if there was how to responde, or some guide in another topic, I would be immensely grateful.

Hi I don't mind helping you out friend
We were all new to this at some point, so remember to always ask for help if needed most of the time someone will tell you what you need to know or point you in the right direction.
Will go thru what I personally think is easiest way to do what you want.
OK so your already rooted that's a great start.
Next, go to the playstore and download an app called "flashify" get that installed and run it.
select from the menu "recovery image" and then select "download TWRP" it will take you to a list of devices find the one for your note 4 which I assume is the Exynos version. Click on that select the latest version and it will download it for you and prompt you to flash the recovery, if you say Yup it will run the flash for you.
That's it you have your phone running TWRP to get into the recovery (personal easiest method again) go back to playstore and search for an app called simply "reboot recovery" Install that also and and start it and it will boot you into recovery\twrp from there you will see options such as install, wipe, back up and restore.
First things first hit backup and run that (always best to have a fall back before you start to play around).
After that your good to install any rom for your device simply be going into TWRP going to wipe (it will tell you the most common type of wipe in the menu and you're probably best off sticking with that for now) after the wipe hit install flash your chosen rom from your sd card and swipe to flash it. After flashing it will ask if you want to wipe cache & dalvic which you do want to unless told otherwise. Then reboot system and enjoy your new rom.

i am facing two unknown issues!
1:- I see a red rectangle whenever i click the home button also when i touch the capacitive buttons.
2:- There is no network whenever i search for the network it says an error while searching for the network ( it didn't even search for gsm network).
I know mic isn't working but i can't select network either its just no network at all.

So far your ROM is great and satisfying. But I have one thing that I always use that is counted as a bloatware. It is WiFi Direct. I usually share medias and files with my friends who uses Samsung using WiFi Direct, but it got removed in your ROM. Is it possible to make it available back using flashable zip or something like that? If can't, its ok. I really appreciate your hardwork, sir.

Got it working on 910F
Hi everyone,
the method below is working only for Nameless v.1 and v.2, it DON'T works for v.3 for now untill samsung releases the new base for our F-Models. Also then, we will see if it'll be compatible with v.3 or higher.
So for now F-Users should stay on v.2 (that is also awesome ) until Er. Aditya update OP with information that some solution for F-Devices is found.
Also I found out, that BOE2 Bootloader isn't the only possible bootloader for Nameless Rom. BOD2 botloader is also compatible. So if you have already flashed via odin one of these bootloaders you should only flash SimplKernel 3.2F. Otherwise, or if you don't know what bootloader you have right now, you can flash with odin whether BOE2 bootloader (BL in odin) or BOD2 bootloader from Dr. Ketan (PDA/AP, since odin will flash bootloader and modem together).

Hi everyone,
got Nameless v.1 working on 910F Variant. Any problems so far.
What I did:
1. Flashed via odin (BL-Tab) BOE2 Bootloader for 910F here at BobCatRom Thread
Update: Alternatively you can flash with odin (PDA/AP Tab) BOD2 Bootloader and Modem for 910F from Dr. Ketan (initial post here)
P.S.: I flashed via Odin also BOC4 modem from there, but don't know is it really necessary for getting Nameless working on F variant or not.
Update: Not necessary.
2. Clean Install Nameless ROM. I did a full wipe.
(Also here I don't know whether it is necessary to do full wipe or not. I'm just describing how it worked for me)
3. Flash SimpleKernel 3.2F here. Follow download link from there.
Update: SimpleKernel is MUST to boot up. No other kernel I've tried is compatible (for now).
4. Reboot. Done.

Screen Write crashes
Sorry for this. But Screen Write keeps on crashing. When you already edit your screenshot via ScreenWrite and want to save it, a pop up says Screen Write has stopped. The image is saved, but not edited. So its like we just take a normal screenshot.

Excuse me Dev I downloaded v3 of this rom on my Canadian n910w8 everything works fine the only problem is that I can't hear anything when I make a call or hear incoming call. Can I get some help with this fix pleasee. ... thank u sir

Nameless v.3 isn't compatible with N910F variant with any bootloader (for now).
But you can flash previous version by following my instruction. I'm also on v.2 and don't experience any problem.

Hi, do you mean Viper4android Mod? If so you can. Just flash zip attached. Than start the app and click install driver from menu.
With this rom you can flash SimplKernel. Check SimplRom Thread and don't forget to thank dev

No i didnt. I just clean flashed your rom and setup my VPN with Private Internet Access and system UI crashing.. man i want your rom. fastest rom ever. but i will keep my current rom at the moment unitl you find a fix.

I didn't try Philz but it will work as they (custom recovery) do actually same job

Also, I hope you do not get mad corsicanu, but I had to replace your Hades RC with my own. I wanted to add a few mods but it seemed that your version of RC was missing a few things in RC such as seekbar stuff. If you'd like, I can keep your original RC and re-upload the ROM. Just wanted to get it out there
Also I couldn't get some stuff working as it is working on Hades for the A5, I'm just not that good of a porter yet

- bug reports without device variant and logs can't be considered bugs - make sure you provide detailed info when reporting bugs;

Installation Steps
Make sure your phone is fully charged to 100%.
Download the ROM and patch zips (if any), and transfer to your phone
Boot the phone into Recovery Mode
Do a FULL wipe: Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, System even if coming from a port rom
Flash rom
The first boot may take 15-20 min
After booting up in setting wizard make sure to uncheck diagnostic data

How about bugs?
This is a port rom so expect some bugs due to the fact that all features and mods including in this rom are supposed to be running on a device with a different hardware structure. However i tried to fix most of the issues and provide a rom for daily use.

How to report a bug/Ask for a change​
Over the small amount of time I've been doing my edits and shared them with the community, I've noticed something that seems to irritate me. I can't speak for all the developers on this forum, but I do edits/ROMs/PORTs/etc... to what I like. I don't work for anybody else but me. I share my work because it may have something of value to other people and/or some people may share the same taste as me on regards to what they want on a ROM.
That being said, that doesn't mean I will completely ignore what the community has to say.
First and foremost, it must be said, I am merely a beginner. I do not claim to be a professional developer that knows how to add everything, I am nowhere close and I learn as I go.
There are ways to ask for something and/or report a bug when it comes to ROMs, and this post is my attempt to try to explain how to (and how not to) report a bug in order to help me out as much as possible to try to fix something
You can also ask for something to be added, but there are also ways to ask for something
So, here we go
Keep in mind:
I do not add stuff that can easily be downloaded from the Playstore
I, myself, don't do kernel edits
I COULD remove stuff if NOBODY uses it
---REPORTING BUGS---​
How NOT to report a bug:
"SystemUI (or any app)is crashing, please help!"
"Instagram doesn't allow me to edit my post, what could be wrong?"
"My bank account app is not letting me do such thing"
These posts are sort of pointless as they only state something but I have no context on what could be causing it. Also, I can't really control (for the most part) third-party apps, so if you're going to ask about them this way, don't even bother
A slightly better way to report a bug:
"I clean installed the ROM and was working fine, after I installed Facebook and logged in, I immediately uploaded a photo and SystemUI started to crash. Can you look in to it?"
"I tried to install Black Neon theme (a link to it would work as well) and it was working fine until I tried to activate AOD (or anything else for some reason) and SystemUI (or any other app) is crashing, could you look in to it?"
"My bank account app doesn't let me take a screenshot of my accounts. I get a toast notification saying "Can't take screenshot due to security policy"
As you can see, this provides a bit more context and explanation on your current situation. This gives me a little more detail on trying to replicate the problem and hopefully could fix it by replicating it. Well, except for point #3 which is out of my hands for the most part (I think). If you include what kernel you're using would make everything better! Also any significant change that would require root (like xposed and or anything that modifies /system also needs to be informed for better results)
The BEST way to report a bug:
LOGCAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please learn the ins and outs of a logcat, this really helps a lot on finding what the problem is. Also, please give a brief explanation as the above examples when providing a log cat

No, I do not work for you. Even if you say please like the third example, that doesn't mean you're being polite. It still sounds like an order lol so you should probably rephrase your request.
How to ask for stuff to be added to my work:
Would you be so kind to add (feature) to your ROM, if possible?
Would it be possible to add this app to your ROM?
Please, can you add (feature) to your ROM, if it isn't much to ask?
See how politeness makes everything better? You're not demanding it, you're just politely asking to see if maybe it is within my grasp to add something. And if all request would be like this, I can assure you I'd try my best to add said feature
I hope this is useful to you or I at least hope that some people read it.
If not, I can just tell you to return to stock ROM, probably better than any ROM I put out anyway

Hi, this may be out of topic, but how can I fix my SM-G532G? I used Chamelephon hoping to change my IMEI number(s) for an app. What happened is, after I restarted my device, but the IMEI turned to
IMEI 1: >8<4=<:7?7<6?:2
IMEI 2: 9><398?64><6086
It just became random symbols (and numbers) and my network now has no hope. Is there ever a way to fix this? There is a fix in YouTube for G532F only (search Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime IMEI fix) which returns your default IMEI, but not for G532G. Please help me, I want to use my phone in its full capacity.

Nope. Well at least, networks now function, but they need constant network operator scan if signals are weak. Data connection also works, but only on 4G. I think I could live with this. (MMI codes don't work through the dialer, tho)

ABSOLUTE NO.
It will contain other phone's IMEI and who know what. This is basically changing IMEI and as ShaDis mentioned, those are 100% illegal in a lot of countries around the world
