Database Users

We need a clean DVP ROM!

Somebody please help us out here, we need a pristine backup.
Basically just get a fresh DVP, back it up, upload the the whole damn folder somewhere and share the link to one of us. I would like to see if a backup from another phone would work. I desperately need to revert back so I can get the firmware upgrade, as do others on this website.

DVP has little, if no, developers.
its sad. but truth is, our device "just works"

theoretically, this could work using the method in this thread. If someone wants to try with the ROM they have on the thread, or with a fresh DVP ROM...

hi guys, afters countless hours of google finally i found a 7008 dvp rom in a chinese forum, im downloading finally after a lot of work cuz to download it you need to register in the site and google translator doesnt work because of the way the site is programmed.
anyways, i still dont have the device to test it (ill be receiving it this week). but if anyone wants to try to play with it there it is: EDIT: (when trying to post i got this message: *To prevent spam to the forums, ALL new users are not permitted to post outside links in their messages. After approximately eight posts, you will be able to post outside links. Thanks for understanding!* i dont have time to be flooding posts in the forum, come on guys, time to review ridiculous rules )
like i said, pretty hard to download bcuz of the language of the site and not tested yet.
if requested i can make a tuto to explain how i was able to download it

I just got it, to download the file do the following:
translate the page by google
then click on copy download bottom beside the link code
then press on allow access on the security dialog that will pop up after
now you got the file
but I think it may be a backup more than a ROM, any way I'll download it and inform you what is it?

I'll take a look at it during lunch.
Ok I took a look and it is just a backup...can't do anything with it.

Guys, just received my dvp a few minutes ago, it looks amazing and it's has a 7004 rom. if you guys can help me to dump it im sure it can be very useful for the community

If you would like to test a few things for for a few days before you update sure.
First thing:
Dial ##634#
Go to RD Test
Enter *#6336#
Scroll down to about
Enter in 983 into the box
it might take a min to load
this is the file browser (just for you to see...cant really do anything in there)
Next we will actually update you to nodo so we can use a filebrowser. Give us a few days to figure this out.

Request: Update Destiny v2.1 link

Hi!
Let me introduce myself a little bit.
I just join this forum because I bought a galaxy 3 recently. It was android 2.1 and I wanted to update to the 2.2 version.
After looking at several manuals I flashed with the last version of samfirmware, but my phone stucked at a deleting data screen. After looking for the solution, I found one could flash again with destiny ROM.
So I tried to download last version and the link is broken, but I could download the 2.0 and now my phone is working .
I wanted to thanks the creator (hodostamas) and ask for a link update in the thread, but I have no permissions. I tried to send him a PM with greetings and a link update request, but no permissions.
So, I don't know if the creator will read this or anybody that has permissions could send him a PM and do me a great favour.

He seems to be quite inactive around xda. He took a few mths to reply me . I'll help you send a pm linking this thread

I can't make the GPS to find the satellite ?
Searching forever and never found anything ?

I had the same problem with my Chinese-market Goophone Y5.
This thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=732030 helped me immensely.
Of course, I was willing and able to root the phone then edit the gps.conf file and then apply the changes using the FasterFix app. If you're a noob then it's kind of complicated and since you'll be groping around in the innards of your phone's file system there's wide scope for breaking something. I sort of knew what I was doing and I soft-bricked my phone twice. But if you're willing to take the risk,,,
Unless of course there's an app which will do all the above risk-free, but if there is, I didn't find it...

Is there any chance to root it and install a custom rom on it?

I want to root it, make it multi language and install an non chinese rom, to be able to have the market etc...
The shop Etotalk has developped a custom rom but they don't want to sell it.
People from India or Russia, maybe can help?
I found some links but in chinese so it is a little difficult to understand a word.

If someone has a working driver it is easy to root the phone.
I cant install the phone to use ADB software
Please someone provide the driver.

In some Chinese stores offer the service to root, then there must be tools, which so far no one makes public.
In etoltak have a Rom, someone could also make it public.

hey try this tool ZhuoDaShi-2.2.0-setup
google it and download and install it on your computer if you are using a windows pc
then connect you lenovo and the software should recognize your device and give you a button so as to
root your device
note ;this software is not multi lingual so you will have to bear with the mandarian or something

take alook on system/etc gps conflict .... i think the script not support for europe .. so you should .. put another script for supprot your location

If you just updated to the 4.1.1 OTA updated pushed by Lenovo, there is no current rooting solution (simple PC tool) at the moment... this is what I summed up from the Chinese Lenovo forums...
I don't actually have the phone here to try and root it again somehow (was rooted by the chinese seller when he shipped it, before the OTA...)

If you could help me with following
1) GPS not working in my Lenovo S890 i edited the Gps.cfg file on y rooted 4.0 phone. but still not working. could send me the files? Gps was working in china but not in India it keep searching.
2) want to install all Google system apps in my 4.0 phone

Is anyone using this phone in the US? It doesn't seem to have 1900 PCS band. By the way, gps works pretty well here.

[Q] LG L65 (D280N) - need help

Hello!
I can't really find anything about this phone here on XDA. Or maybe it's under a different name?

Qualcomm 1.2GHz Dualcore processor
1 GB RAM
I'm planning to buy one, so a quick answer from somebody who knows this phone would help me a lot.
It's not released in every country, but looking over these posts it should belong to here, why I can't see any sign of it?
Something is wrong with this phone? It's blocked somehow or just not many people know about it and that's why there are no guides, roms, etc. for it? Or at least a forum post mentioning it exist?
Would be nice to know before I get one. Somebody have any experience with it?
If somebody could at least start a new section for it that would be nice, it's officially exist. It's like a little brother of LG L70 and for it's price (around $160) it has a good specificaion.
Maybe it would get some attention and there would be some people who could help making content for the users, or at least share experience.

OK. So I got no answer, but here's some info in case somebody is looking for it, I got the device.
I'm not entirely sure though it's the right thread, but I can't find anything else for it.
- It can be rooted easily with Towelroot - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783157
- It's a really nice device, but since I couldn't find a trustworthy method for KitKat to use the SD Card as Internal Storage and the phone only have 1,2 GB storage room after you delete the unnecessary things, it's hard to manage the games on it. There's an app which can help though, FolderMount - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192122
It won't solve everything, you still can't use that kind of game which have more than 1,2 GB data itself, but it's still something, most game don't need that much anyway.
- There are no roms for it as far as I know, not Cyanogenmod or any other.
