So who have you or will preorder with?

It seems Best Digital offer the chepaest price and also HTC Direct. I am wondering if it is best to order through HTC Direct rather than someone I never heard of (Best Digital) in case you need a refund or return.
Also the shops in Tottenham Court Road in London may be a good place to buy and haggle for cash but I am guessing if a fault devleops in the phone, they won't exchange or give you hassle unlike dealing through reputable companies like Play.com, HTC Direct etc etc. I want to pay under £450 as over £500 is way too much for a phone.
I so want one now and HTC Direct says they will get stock in in under 2 weeks (31st Sept) whereas others say mid November. I have told myself after buying this phone I wont buy another phone again as this really seems to the best phone ever in what I want from a phone.
I just don't know who to preorder with or just wait and haggle in Tottenham Court Road.
Who are you pre-ordering with or have you already preordered?

BTW, it looks that they updated the delivery date to early november for the english version, up to end of november for the italian version...keep ready...

Never dealt with HTCdirect, and just in case you were wondering, they are NOT htc themselves, they are just a shop.
Expansys are usually ok, apart from the odd occasion where they buy dodgy grey import stock and sell them to get to the market early, and you end up with warranty issues.
Devicewire.co.uk are owned by brightpoint so they are usually pretty quick out of the gate with stock, and a good guide for the proper retail price and release date.
If you want to buy on TCR in London, then INKINO is your best bet. they are very good and knowledgeable and happy to help. There is another one around there that is owned by handtec (I think) and they can't get you out of the door fast enough once they've taken your money, and refuse to do anything to help if there's a problem. Best to avoid them like the plague....!

My preorder has been in with Clove.co.uk for weeks now (over a month). It was £590+ (inc. tax) when I placed the order and it has dropped to £523 inc. tax now ....I hope they charge me the lower price when they do finally ship!

They buy their stock from Brightpoint UK, so they nearly always say the day after devicewire/Brightpoint....Surprised they haven't updated their date to the 1st of November yet. These two companies are only a couple of miles apart in Bournemouth and Poole.

I'll probably be ordering with Expansys USA.

I ordered at expansys germany. I guess they will be the first to get HTCs new device..

Amazon.de has a very good price. The guys from a german o2-Shop said, that the HD will cost about min. 700,- Euros without a contract.

I don't know who are you guys going to preorder the Touch HD from but I just saw a broshure from one of the big mobile phone sellers here in Bulgaria and the HD was listed as avaliable and at a good price!!! 1299lv. Or 650 Euro! This is verry interesting and I'll check it monday when the shops open! Keep fingers crossed!

I get mine as a present, but know that official German retail is 660 euros. So Amazon incl. shipping is not too bad. I hope the HD lives up to its promises, since it marks my return to the WinMobile world, after exiting with Tytn I.

where to get the phone in UK?

I'm interested in this phone, but any good reliable online store??
Superetrader is only £379.99, which is very good price, but have not used them.
Amazon was selling it £379.99 too, but i missed it, now they are selling it £408

Mine was delivered today. Got it from Expansys for £399 + free next day delivery. I was oing to buy from Amazon but they increased their price to £408 and u would still need to pay like £6 for next day delivery. Expansys is quite reliable. I would rate them second to Amazon.
I once bought a phone (TyTN II) from a company called Handtec and they sold me a grey import so I have learnt to stay clear of those small traders when spending a lot of money on a phone.
By the way the Desire Z is a fantastic phone and I am still in awe!

Got mine from SuperEtrader, excellent service and they were actually the first to ship any stock in the UK I think. Their aftersales was very good when I had a hinge query too.

i heard that expansys stock level is not correct on their website, and the order often delay because of this.

We have the DZ,... But it is not officialy supported by T-mobile, nor is it available from them direct. I have it on T-mobile but ordered from an online retailer, they apparently buy the handsets unlocked in bulk to be able to offer almost any available handset on any network and tariff,...

Where to buy in Sweden

Ok, since we already have threads about where to buy in UK or US, I thought I'd start a thread for us Swedes as well. There seems to be quite a few of us here
Since Panamoz is full of BS regarding their "worldwide shipping", where would be a good place to get a 7.7 for us now?
Some seems to recommend eBay seller rose528400 - has anyone ordered from him/her to Sweden?
Any other recommendations?

Seems like almost every retailer gets the 7.7 in stock next week. (Dustin, Komplett etc)
Expansys ships to Sweden, but it's only the wifi version.

You could try ditech.at they shipped to Germany already. Maybe write them a mail if they would ship to Sweden.
And I have the impression that the GTab 7.7 shall be in stock by mid February.

I just got a little annoyed about the "worldwide shipping" from Panamoz
I suppose I just have to wait a little, and then go down to my local store and actually try and feel the 7.7 before I buy it.

That's an advantage for the Swedish people, they can just buy it.
But since the device isn't allowed in Germany we buy it from Austria or whatever

The cases from Noreve for the Tab 7.7 will be available from 16th February.
So maybe there will be the start/launch of the tablet.

Living in Denmark, I ordered mine from komplett.dk in November. The first delivery date was estimated to 15 December. Then it was postponed until 2 January. Then again to 21 January. Then 3 February. Unsurprisingly, today it was yet again postponed to 14 February. Now I'm really getting annoyed. Komplett blames Samsung, so I'm kind of in a rut here.
I'm seriously considering cancelling my order and looking for options overseas...

Don't know if Expansys ships to Denmark but they have it in stock. Last time I checked they had both the wifi and 3g model in stock. Mine should arrive in the beginning of next week

I ordered from cdon.se.
They did postpone it the same way as your komplett.dk. And suddenly my order was cancelled. They removed the 7.7 from their website totally.
Maybe that was ok, instead of new delivery dates all the time.
Now, I've ordered from cyberphoto instead.
They only moved the date 1 time
Now they say: Maybe the 10 of February.
Don't believe it.
I really hope that Samsung will begin to deliver to the "Swedish" retailers....Please!!!!!

Amazon or Expanys USA

Howdy,
I've finally aligned the stars and am ready to by the international note. Before I buy, I'd like to know how everyone feels about buying through Expanys USA vs. Amazon. I've used both companies before so I am very comfortable buying phones from them.
I just want to make sure that I get the version that has been updating the fastest. Not talking about ODIN, but software update to come to phone.
What versions are they selling - German, Hong Kong, etc?

You can probably get it for a bit cheaper off Amazon. If you're buying via Expansys make sure you look up for some discount vouchers. I bought my white international Galaxy Note from Expansys just 2 weeks ago and wow, next day shipping was AMAZING!

At this point just get it for the cheapest. If you choose amazon, make sure to check out the seller feedback. I personally went with expansys when it was first released.
Unless its under a certain price, i rather spend the extra for smooth transaction. Amazon is to much like ebay.

just wanted to vouch for global mobiles on amazon..i bought by note from them about 2 weeks ago ($30 more expensive then..=(), and they were fantastic. perfect condition German model,packed well, very attentive to detail.
also had 1-day shipping for 3.99 on prime..and it arrived less than 24 hours later!! =O

i just got mine last week from amazon...with 2 day shipping....super awesome service....my experience with amazon has been very excellent...no complaints so far.....i would suggest amazon

From a hardware standpoint, each version is exactly the same. The only real difference is the pre-loaded software/firmware. If you're planning to update via Kies, then it's probably best to flash a Euro firmware and take it from there. I know you mentioned that you don't want to deal with Odin, but honestly it's the best firmware solution for Samsung devices. It's really not that difficult either honestly.

Got mine from Amazon. $608.99 sold by TRD Trading GMBH white unlocked. Ordered Thursday March 30 Amazon Prime plus $3.99 shipping upgrade I got it Friday. Came in Samsung sealed box. Shipper included a US plug adapter to work with the international Samsung charge adapter and a couple of printed notes for how to change the language at startup from German to English and to setup the APN to AT&T. Had to look in here though to get MMS working.
All in all I'm extremely happy and finally enjoying my Note this weekend.

I got mine in November thru Amazon and TechnoTradingHouse.
Excellent experience with them. Mine was slightly delayed (5 days) and they bent over backwards to keep me posted as the delay was out of their control (customs).

Ive been going back and forth with expansys for the last 2 months with a defective sgs2 that they refuse to replace. Its currently at the uk samsung now going through "tests". Theres a quarter size blemish in the screen thats obvious yet im still jumping through hoops to get a replacent. I will never go with expansys again.

Thanks for the recommendation! I think I am going to go with Amazon due to nostock fees. I remember when I used Exp in the past, they tacked on a nice nostock fee with my return. Although, in the end they are excellent too

Wow. I'm soo sorry to hear of your bad experience. I guess this reinforces my first instinct to go with Amazon. I swear you can buy everything including your spouse on Amazon

There are so many sellers out there selling Note from different countries. Is the one from German is the best one?
I heard it's better to get the one from UK since:
a). They have good customer service and ACCEPT service request from out of UK
b). All the manuals are in English
So which country should I get the Note from? UK, Germany? ROM I can deal with, defective hardware.. well.. if it's not covered by Samsung in the origin country, I just lost $600!!
PS: Global Mobile in Amazon sells their Note from Germany

Sounds like user error to me. They only replace up to 30 days. Never had a issue with them. They actually contacted me to give me a full refund so I can take part of a 100 off promotion they did shortly after my purchase. You kept a sgs2 with a blemish longer then 2sec. Sounds like your fault.
Cant go wrong with expansys. Mine included overnight shipping for free on both devices.

Amazon is much better than Expanys anytime

What are your guys thoughts in term of WARRANTY? I spoke with one of most popular seller in Amazon and they said the Note they're selling are Germany version and comes with 2 years warranty.
For warranty work, their approach is:
1). Send the phone back to THEM
2). They'll prep the phone to send it back to Samsung in <insert country here>
So the turnaround time could be in many weeks. I.e. ship to reseller --> reseller ship to Samsung outside of US --> Samsung fixed the phone --> Samsung ship to reseller --> reseller ship to customer.

I just purchased a Nexus 7 FHD 32GB from scan for £239.99, Their site says i will get it on the 28th but it has not been marked dispatched yet, and release date for UK is the 30th. So all you UK customers come out and say what deal you got where and how you intend to purchase your brand new baby. I think the launch date is the 28th for UK. I have pre-ordered from Tesco - 16G wifi only for £179 (including the bank holiday offer of £20 off tesco direct). Tesco states launch on the 28th, expect delivery before 2nd. Hoping it might arrive by the weekend but probably depends on volume of preorders.

Yeah, UK launch is tomorrow, 28th. I plan to walk nonchalantly into my local Argos and pick one up in the morning.

I chased my currys pre-order today. They still had it down for delivery after September 13th, they pushed the order through as they did have stock but said it would be delivered in a couple of days. Being impatient as I am in asked them to cancel the order and ordered from ebuyer who have plenty in stock.
It's due for delivery tomorrow now and I can't wait to get my hands on it! I might have accidentally upgraded to the 32gb model in the process but shhhh... I haven't told the missus yet, I'm hoping she won't notice!

Just checked the Play Store out of curiosity - the new Nexus 7 is live. I presume it went live at midnight. Ordered mine from Ebuyer though, to get it on Thursday.

Mine should arrive this morning, just a few hours, I hope the ones in the uk are a fresh batch with lower defect rate. It seems the prices have levelled off at £199 for 16GB and £239 for 32GB, I have not seen the LTE variant yet but i believe that would go for £299 32GB, but again i am not sure. :laugh:

I paid for the Express AM service from Parcelforce on Ebuyer so it might be here in the next hour or so. I literally cannot wait.

Got mine in PC World this morning, after going Click & Collect and getting the whole dickhead salesman monologue- "You should buy one of these MiFi things so you can go online on the go despite having just told me you have a 1GB mobile allowance for tethering and rarely use more than 200MB of it", "Oh you need to buy antivirus, whenever you go online with it you could catch a virus", "Here's a case for it [Points to Nexus 7 Mk 1 case], you should totally get one in case you drop it", "You should take out our Piece of Mind plan that's twice what your accidental damage premium is, in case you GET A VIRUS or you DROP IT TWICE".
After all that the ****ing thing had some of the Taiwanese wildlife wedged into the bezel where it got crushed when they installed the glass and the display suffered from major touchscreen fail. Went straight back and got it replaced for a unit which, mercifully, works fine. Great device.
