FPA CM is based on CyanogenMod with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google Apps.
All the source code for FPA's CM is available in the FPA Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to FPA, please visit our github. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features

Installation
You need to be on a Stock Gingerbread ROM 2.3.* otherwise your device won't boot.
1. Root your device and install ClockworkMod Recovery.
2. Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo
3. Do a Nandroid backup!
4. WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
5. Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery
Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.
* Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.) * If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
* Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. The following is a useful format to follow.
The FPA team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

You are supposed to be on Gingerbread first. check the OP instructions

Keyboard is fixed, just take it from any other GB ROM and flash. I guess same would do for clock too.

MinoochX, you never will get problems flashing this over android 4.x .
Steps:
Reboot recovery
Wipe data, cache, dalvik and battery stats
Go to mounts&storage, mount data, cache, system, sd-ext (not SDCARD), format data, cache, system and sd-ext
Flash our cm7 android 2.3.7
And get no problem with that.
Thanks if helped.

You dont need to mount it to format it.
Also, all you need to do is : wipe data, format system, wipe battery stats, flash ROM.

I did that all time i downgrade but if you say that i believe.

These are the missing blobs.
CONFIRMED BUGS
Wifi, bluetooth and RIL
WITH the files below, I will be able to fix the bugs. This is due to bad blobs extraction.

In other words, someone must find me a libsecRIL.so in the system/lib folder. you must be on CM7. Once you can get it, building should not be a problem.

Try with these files..

First time installing CyanogenMod 10 to your Galaxy S II, or coming from another ROM:
- Make sure you're NOT RUNNING A KERNEL WITH THE MMC-SUPERBRICK-BUG. If you're unsure, flash this ClockworkMod-Recovery using Odin/Heimdall.
- Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery
- Copy GApps and CM10 ZIPs to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM10 zip from internal SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from internal SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!
Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 10:
- Copy CM10 ZIP to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM10 zip from internal SDCard
- Reboot

As expected, you guys supporting our device, I hope I can do more contributions to device tree this time. I did sumbit patches to gerrit but just a few were to S2 on ICS, As I do mostly framework or gui stuff, wich is my area of knowledge .
Thanks for developing on S2 even after you tasted omap godness, and have newer devices.
Btw, Noob users asking if they should do fullwipe or things like that in 3, 2 ,1.

Thank you GOD !
thanks! i still thinking if it is worth instaling it, i hate the touchwiz, i got my phone today, this is the first time using the stock rom for more than 5 minutes and i hate it, can anyone post how it works and what isnt working pls?
Very nice! Congrats for the work!
May I know if it'll eventually come to the LTE Note 2 N7105?
Can you do anything about the color saturation? I'm using Voodoo to help but it isn't enough. On the stock rom there are several settings in display to mitigate this problem (dynamic, standard, movie and one other.) Supercurio?
On a side note (pardon the pun) does the CM10 camera have an auto focus? I noticed that pictures look 100x better on the stock rom vs. Any of the aosp based ones.

Yes because SELinux isn't implemented (or at least correctly) initial boot yields a bunch of FC for media/gapps related apps. Reboot and it should work fine.

Don't know what's going on with this Rom. Really wanted to try the Omni so I tried d/l on my PC......comes back as a "malicious file".....Now I'm not a Noob and have been flashing roms on 6 different devices over the past 4 years.......I have NEVER seen this on any Rom I have tried until now!
Just a word of caution.
FWIW
1 - File downloads just fine via PC (via mediafire link - 145 mb approx)
2 - Negative on malicious files when I do check - used MS Security Essentials, SpyBot, and MalwareBytes.
just FYI from me anyhow, thanks.

Rom is safe to install. I am using it and so far is a really nice rom.....very slim and not overbloated.
Good work!!!!:good:
Coming from Cyanogenmod (4.2.1) everything went as described except much more than 5 minutes has passed since reboot, more like 15, and I'm still looking at the OMNI splash logo. I wiped factory data and cache before first flash as instructed. Got the partition message and reflashed rom and gapps. All seemed to go well until after reboot. Looks as if I'll need to pull the battery to restart but very afraid of that so going to wait an hour before I do....
Chrome did indeed tell me the ROM download "looks suspicious" but a manual scan with up Symantec Endpoint protection comes up clean.

Just pull battery and go back to recovery and reflash ROM a 3rd time and should boot fine. 4.2 to 4.3 is a wired jump with the partitioning and stuff

set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E:error in /sdcard/cm-11.0_u8800pro_11-16-2013-.zip
(Status 7)
I was working with desalesouche on CM11.0 and we had the same error. We had to change set_metadata to set_perm in the updater-script. Will try to do that now.
EDIT 2: I got it to install, but it gets stuck on Huawei logo. This is the updated updater-script file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qeqgg9nhliw9dk8/updater-script

Installed on top of the Official ICS. Installation aborted.

Ok, I will try
Same thing with META-INF from U8800-51.
EDIT: I've read around and it seems that set_metadata error is caused by the recovery. We need a new recovery: Clock Work Mod version 6.0.4.3

Yup I just remembered that. All devices with 4.4 KitKat ROMs need latest CWM recovery. I first read this on the nexus 4 forum lol. But how did @SpaceKiller install it properly?
Maybe TWRP 2.5?
