the droid x, requires a SD card, to flash roms

The only way I could think it might be possible is if you didn't have to wipe data before flashing, but I don't know of any ROM's that don't require that in a jump.

you don't have wipe before, you can wipe after.

If your flashing from stock clear data/factory reset and clear cache that should work.
What exactly does this have to do with rooting?

Yep don't forget and if your going from one ROM to another you don't need to wipe data (most of the time) example from cm 10.1 to aokp unless the dev otherwise state you should

S4 has no sound and video

After a rom change on my s4 my wifi had stopped working. So after I odined it back to stock firmware, all media sources stopped working. None of the speakers work, mic, no video playback or recording, no music. Whenever I try to play music the phone lags like no tomorrow and same with video playback. Phone also has some process stopped working popup that comes up randomly. Need help asap!!!
Please post a log/pic of the failing process so it'll be easier to pinpoint your problem.

Lg G2 Data wipe

I am interested in flashing a custom rom, but this is my first phone without an sd card. Will a data wipe delete all of my music and pictures?
Sent from my VS980 4G using xda app-developers app
Just slide to perform factory reset that's all you need and it won't touch your sdcard

I thought the g2 didn't have an sd card...

It doesn't, he's talking about the internal sd card.
It has internal sdcard but not external

It looks like you have Verizon g2 so are you already rooted and twrp installed.
Sent from my LG-D800 using xda app-developers app
I'm rooted. I don't have a custom recovery yet, but I will obviously need one before switching roms. Thanks for the input!

[Q] How many gb

are the system files on the lg g2 stock normally? I just flashed back to stock ui after a hangup while trying to install cm 11, and come to find out that the system data is 8.12gb, is this normal or are there "leftovers" from trying to install cm11? Thanks
Do u have a 16gb or 32gb. ...there has been a bug where 16gb gets lost

To all what had been said. Whilst restoring. Or changing ROM's stock vs custom usually, almost always the system partition gets formatted, cleaned so there couldn't be any leftovers anyways. (not in system)

Apps to sd...

Question for anyone who knows...What is the best app to use to move apps to my sd card? I'm running out of internal storage somehow and want to move stuff around. Thanks.
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
If you go to your app manager and click on a app it gives you the option to move to sd card.

There's even a section that tells you which apps can be moved and a check by it If it's already there.
