Can anyone give me some good values for the Trickster MOD kernel settings app, and by values i mean RGB, it would be much appreciated

Hi,
Here:
Nexus 4 Color Settings [spreadsheet], mainly HERE.
And "good values" mean nothing, it depends of what you want, your likes, your eyes, your screen...

I'm on trinity's kernel and his app doesn't have the color option. What app do you guys recommend to use for color control?

Hi,
Trinity kernel ( so his app TKT) have color options (RGB), it's under "tunables"/"RGB Color Adjustement"...
If you mean Gamma settings, if I'm right it's not supported yet... (in the app for sure, in the kernel not sure).
In any case with some apps like Faux123 Kernel Enhancement or Francisco Kernel Updater it does not work.
And also just looked in sys/class/misc and module, nothing related to Gamma control so or i'm blind or I don't know where to search...
On the contrary, franco kernel updater color tuner works now. The color sticks after reboot and all.

I'm trying to decide which one I would rather use. I am leaning towards faux but with the coming of the display control app I'm not sure if the 5 dollar kernel control app will be enough.
If you think it is worth the 5 dollars for either one tell me. Then tell me which you use and why, I want to figure this out today!
Thanks guys

If you want to change the colors, I'd try Trickster MOD first.
Flash franco's kernel and buy his app

I started using Franco, but it didn't offer enough control of the gamma, which is pretty important if you're going to calibrate your screen really well and get images that really pop out at you.
Using FauxDisplay now, (which seems to work fine on my N4 with Matr!x kernel), and getting some decent calibrations.
Odp: Franco or Faux display control?
I'm using trickster mod with enhanced stock kernel by faux.

i don't want to sound harsh or anything, but please try the kernel first, and then buy something !
I bought the display control and it worms just fine with his enhanced stock kernel. I did have some trouble getting it to work at the beginning but after that it was pretty easy

So I'm confused how the matr1x kernel works. I used Franco kernel for about one month and used his app to adjust settings. However with matr1x kernel are the best settings already set? If not, is there a way to adjust these settings?

I'll try to answer your questions. Yes, the best settings for the kernel are probably already set. To change them, you can use any CPU control app. Some ROMs even have a section in Settings for that.

Hi everyone,
Im here to share my stweaks settings with perseus kernel and get some opinions.
Objectives:
- Get full performance when i need (with 1600mHz and gpu at 733mHz)
- Average battery duration (more than 1 day with regular use, like games, xmbc, web surfing, listen music and do some calls)
- Fluid usage
To make that profile i have used this guide to understand better the configuration @ link

Put file on "data/.perseus" and load with StweaksProfiles.
Thanks, I've been testing this for a while and getting great results. How can I make the colours slightly richer/more saturated? Just slightly...

Thanks I know about that.. I'm kinda looking for something between stock and Perseus default master sequence.. can't figure what to tweak for saturation though..

I think this is what you're looking for. I found a nice balance by setting all the color gains to a number higher than zero; all gains are the same number so an individual color isn't over or under saturated compared to the others. You can experiment with what you like. Personally, I've got all my gains set to 10.
RED GAIN=10
GREEN GAIN=10
BLUE GAIN=10
YELLOW GAIN=10
CYAN GAIN=10
MAGENTA GAIN=10
To my eyes, these numbers give a nice balance between Perseus "default" and the Samsung stock oversaturation, plus the annoying stock blue tint in whites is still gone. "Enable register hook" and "Enable master sequence" are both checked of course.

As far as i know Perseus kernel is no longer in development so I suggest that you move on to another kernel to get better support.
Also you're using an S4? So i think you posted on a wrong forum too.
And the OP here hasn't updated his thread since March so I deem that he is no longer active.

Hey! I've recently switched to Franco but want to switch back to Trinity. One problem... Franco gives me deep, amazing colors that I cannot leave...
Is it possible to take the presets I have for Franco kernel and port them to match Trinity color settings so that it looks the same on Trinity...
Here are the settings
- RGB MULTIPLIERS
Red:230
Green: 225
Blue: 240
- GAMMA SETTINGS
Red/Green/Blue (all the same):
Greys(0), Mids (87), Blacks (119), Whites (0)
Misc Gamma Settings:
Contrast(6), Brightness(0), Saturation(87)

Ahhh that's what you meant, I already own FKU and TKT , but the kernels use different methods to set gamma (kind of). Luckily Trinity and Franco have very similar color settings it was easy to bring over my current colors
Just to clarify I wasn't looking for an app to set this stuff. I wanted someone to port over the Franco colors I was using over to settings that would match for Trinity settings

Oh, I see. Yeah, I don't think there would be a way to directly convert Franco values into trinity, you'd have to just experiment. But I do find that franco_my_profile (if I remember correctly) looks really good on Trinity too, even if it it doesn't look identical to what it does on Franco kernel.
