Hello xda, this is my first post here and I need your professional help. I (soft) bricked my Optimus L5 and there's something wrong with KDZ.
When I hit the "Launch software update" button, it crashes. Any help, advices, even alternatives are welcome.

Do you have all lg drivers installed. Also stop all running instances of lg pc software if you have that installed and what did you select under type and connection options?

I changed the OS. Reinstalled my laptop and downgraded it to XP SP3 and KDZ started to work perfectly. I installed all of the drivers needed and flashed it with V10L. And now, it's working.

Hi all!i've a problem.
After flashing a firmware phone remains in LG logo.
So i need to use kdz flasher to update.
But with 4 different PC(windows 8,windows7,windows XP) i can't update.
I have put phone in emergency mode (i tried different way:with battery and volume+ and power, without battery volume+and power, without battery volume+ and back) but in each mode i have error in flashing(homero 10k kdz): or port-1,phone was not found,or upgrade error wparam...
Drivers are installed.i tried 3gqt and emergency or diag mode.
I have flashed others times kdz without problems.
I don't know what to do now.
Other approaches?with CMD commands?
Or there is a way with Kdz flasher?
Help please!
Thanks
Try this http://d-h.st/Okx kdz flasher, launch windows enabler as admin, also launch kdz as admin.
I have the same problem i will try this and we will see...

Hi, As much I have seen you are trying to flash your phone via KDZ, you can try to repair your drivers by going to devices and then update driver and it will find newest, and try to flash V20A by Homero because if you were on V20 syste (4.1.2) you can't simply flash V10k by Homero, hope I helped.

I have the same problem
Model: LG Optimius L7 II P714
solved!
Emergency mode WITH BATTERY INSERTED (without battery, the drivers don't work) -->go in emergency in this manner: without cable inserted, press volumeUP and power, and when phone vibrate release keys
The problems of "error wparams 100..." was because 10k of homero.
I have flashed 10k original https://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=7G/SaZRIBwInyyrUn9rmSP9o/+9CXAXmXHHf3EMuVFI=
and it works!
After i have installed cwm (just cwm) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38231332&postcount=2230
and i can install coocked roms now!!!
ps: i used this (UpTestEX-mod_hf-marwin-beta): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49358448&postcount=2 (flash in 3qgct, emergency)

Then use the Sideload.
Hello, I am trying to restore LG L7 P700, to a stock rom using KDZ Updater, but every time I get MOD UpTestEX MFC has stopped working error. Windows 8 64-bit. And yes I have installed msxml.msi before doing anything else, can anyone help me?
OK, I found a solution for this, and I forgot to mention, that in the result of that error phone was stuck in the LG logo, anyway, the solution -
The solution is to ignore that error and just hard reset the phone with a key combination for me this worked as a charm, after that my phone was back and running http://www.hard-reset.com/lg-optimus-l7-p700-hard-reset.html
i have the same problem on same system

I always ignore the error, just launch update and it always works for me.
Hi,
This is my first post here, I hope I'm posting in the right section
I wanted to flash the G Pro 2 port (ROM) to my LG D802 (32GB) using cwm (had no problems with root and cwm).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2673143
I screwed it up and now booting is stuck at the LG logo, custom recovery is also gone. I can still enter download mode, so I tried to flash the stock ROM using R&D and the LG mobile support tool. When I plug the device in, the program starts to "connect" and after about 30 seconds it says new updates are available, then flashes to up to date immediately. It also gives me a code that is supposed to be the current firmware number, so I guess that the phone can connect to my PC just fine.
The problem is that when I want to flash the KDZ file the "select language" window doesn't pop up, instead it launches the LG mobile support (same as if I would launch the exe manually without R&D).
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f177/guide-how-update-kdz-firmware-1629632/
Step 11 works fine, but instead of Step 12 it launches the LG mobile support tool and says it's up to date
Also R&D freezes if I press "start upgrade" or "read phone information" are these considered normal? Tried on my PC and a laptop I borrowed. Crashes on both systems (PC-Windows 8.1 (64bit), Laptop-Windows 7 (64bit)).
Is there anything that can be done or am I totally screwed? Any help would be appreciated.
PS: In download mode it says rooted and shows the LG logo when I try to charge the phone (as if it was trying to boot), is it still charging or I will have a brick when the battery goes dead?
Edit: Windows enabler is on, though I have no idea what does it actually do (all guide say it is needed). Same goes for "small server".
Try using it on a different computer with a different internet connection. I had the same problems as you described. It somehow refused to install the KDZ file on my D802 but finally worked on my laptop.

Thank You so much for answering. So You are saying it's picky when it comes to computers? Already tried two systems (Windows 8.1 and windows 7) but they were hooked up to the same router. My sister also has a laptop, after that Im out of laptops (lol). Will also try it with a different internet connection. Also could You please tell me what OS was running on your laptop? I read somewhere that XP compatibility mode can help. Doesn't make a difference for me, but it could mean that the program was written for XP and doesn't work on Windows 7/8 at all. At least I'm a bit relieved now that there's a little chance that it's just the program and not my phone

Yep, Windows XP did the job.
Have you earlier installed a KDZ file on your G2 and now doing it again but not working? or is this just the first time you're trying this?

It's my first time. Didn't really like all the bloatware, bad camera software and Jelly Bean with no update available (according to the phone). The LG Pro 2 ROM looked like it could fix all issues I had with the phone and... well, there's no bloatware on my phone now, that's for sure
Thanks again for your help, I will try with XP. Hopefully it will work this time
EDIT: Irrelevant I guess but was it service pack 2 or 3? I just can't get myself to trust any software after everything dear to me has betrayed me.
Solved
It works!!!
Had nothing to do with XP, but with LG updating their flashing tool. Now it only works with this little trick:
