Rom: Modaco 3.2b
Kernel:Lightspeed 0.1.1
IF you havent tried it you should .
If you are able to over clock to 768 do it, this combination is very smooth and stable.
Hi guys
To help noobs like me and others with different experiences, I would like to launch a quiz feeded with your information about the best system for Galaxy S. I'm talking about what you have and/or what you would like to:
ROM: Team ICSSGS RC4.2
KERNEL: Semaphore 0.9.1
I like it very much but ready to try others.
Thank you all
If you're getting started to flashing on the SGS i'd say the best bet is start with Darky's ROM, the 10.2 RE version is easily flashable over ODIN in a couple of steps with absolutely no preparation work required to flash. (except charge the battery )
The rom is fast, very smooth and stable and has great battery life and even has it's own app, which is great for customizing your phone easily, fixes, themes, tweaking settings/lockscreens and even deleting system apps.
The ROM has it's own complete community for helping it's users, and if you're new to flashing it's a great place to start off, in Darky's forum sheltered from the wild flashing jungle.
It's great for anyone who wants a no fuss, stable and fast rom which works out of the box with minimal effort
My current set up on Darky;
Darky's ROM 10.2.2
DarkCore Kernel
XXJVQ Baseband
But i personally plan to move onto Gamerzrom soon, as the dev has thrown in every possible performance script available for the SGS and has done a fantastic job at making sure his ROM works and is all stable. It's currently a JVU base, but i think he's headed to ICS and i'll gladly wait for him to work hard and tune a nice stable ICS build for Gamerzrom and then flash his build. If he doesn't head to ICS i'm not worried, a stable working and fast rom is all i want and he's seems to have that nailed to a point
ROM: Dark Knight v3
Kernel: Devil Kernel (1.1.16?)
Cant notice any bugs
Great Battery life
Ice Cream Sandwich *-*
Rom: CM9 B17+ (with "+" I mean newest kang)
Kernel: Devil's Kernel (Tuchwake is awesome!)
I prefere CM9 cause of the "energy management buttons" in the notifaction bar
also I suggest you to take a look for the appex launcher (from market)
greetz
Rom:WeUi miui v4
Kernel:Midnight 0.7.9
I like miui and this rom is fabulous!
The kernel work very well no delay and no block...

ROM : AOKP build 28 / Nova Launcher
Kernel: Semaphore 0.9.7 (Gov=SmartassV2, Sched=SIO, Deep Idle, Lock min 100 MHz)
Modem : XXJVT
Battery : Akku-King 3.7V / 1800mAh
Mod/Apps: i9000_zeitgeist181_Noble_black_weather.zip / only the statusbar (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1536330)
NSTools v1.15 (service for BLN / missed calls)
Great Battery Life (2-3 Days),
and yes i´m working with my phone, 2 Exchange push (Touchdown and Stock Email), BT and WIFI always on...
I´ve testet many ROMs with different Kernels (Stock,CM7,DARKY,CM9,KANG,ICSSGS,CNA,DarkNight,AOKP),
i was looking for a port for 2 devices (Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab 10.1),
and was actually on AOKP (ICS 4.03), with the same look and feel...
Rom: Slim Ics 3.0
Kernel: Stock
Modem: XXJVT
Of all the ROM, but my favorite and most stable team ICSSGS RC 4.2 Plus 0.9.1 Semaphore (Gov. = SmartassV2, Sched = no-op *, Deep Idle, Lock min 100 MHz)
Battery: Akku-King 1800mAh
Holds 3 days and 17h. I put that picture in the thumbnail but it does not allow me due to the limited possibilities of links
Exaggerating when using the (FB, e-mail and twitter), holds a solid 22 hours
It was the modem that JVU fossa along the RC 4.2. For now testing the modem JW4 Valuepack

Hello everyone. I've noticed that transition animations on several JB 4.2 ROMs for HD2, such as Xylon or Pixeldroid use sort of hack to make animations smooth: speed of all system animations including indeterminate progress bars and all transitions was increased and animation scale in developer settings was set to 5x (not 0.5x). I'm trying to make things work the same way on Tytung's CM10.1 ROM but with no success yet. I tried to search forums for this hack, still no luck. I don't know, who was the first developer who used this method in his ROM, so I decided to ask for it in general section.
My question is: how does this hack work and is it possible to make it work on Tytung's CM10.1?
Great ROM_KERNEL_MOD combination for Note

ICS Transition Animation for JB4.1.2
Hi guys
Recently I flashed Gerrett's Vengeance note, it was an awesome rom. MiUI at its best, with stock Samsung features like S Note, Air view, Powersaving mode, Smart stay etc. Gooddies of both Miui and Samsung stock.
But it was little laggy and was very "Battery hungry", batery was not getting charged properly, and high device heat up..
I did few flashes and ended up in this great combination..
LT5 kernel:Great stability and battery life, less device heat up..
ICS transitions reduce the lag..
MiUI lovers can give it a shot..
Flashing instructions
Install rom as instructed in rom thread..
Flash the LT5kernel
Boot up
Go to recovery-Flash ICS transitions

Hello, I will be giving the xt907 to my girlfriend for her birthday 01/03/13 I would like to make some customizations and adjust some setting for her convenience like adding menu buttons to the navigation bar and add/change some notification quick settings.. So that would be a baked ROM for 4.1-4.3 I guess?, which is a great stable and reliable ROM to give this away with?
ROMS I've tried:
Carbon 4.3-4.4 jittery, lags
slimrom 4.3 - slimkat 4.4 = also lags , jittery
OSE ROM 4.4 - not responsive lag
M Rom is great but doesn't have the cutomizations I want.
OSE ROM
Now I'm going to try liquid smooth v2. 37 nightly (4.2.2) //
since I'm new to the Razr M forum can you help me by giving me your most solid ROM?
