[Q] I have a bit of a problem...

So my phone is softbricked, so i tried to flash the stock DL17 with Odin to get it
back. But every time i try, it ends up saying FAIL! at the end. So what went wrong,
and what else can i try to do to unbrick my phone?

What rom were you trying to flash? What steps did you use? Need some more info to help.

GT-I9300 32GB from Optus Australia , i'm afraid my phone is Brick - need you help !

i search online and tried everything , no success
the phone stuck at the Samsung GT-i9300 screen
can't enter recovery mode.
i can enter to download mode
but when i connect with Odin 3.07 i get this error:
There is no PIT parition
and also Fail red massage

I think you can use a usb jig to force enter the download mode. You can do your own with some resistors and a usb conector. Just google usb kig and you will find how to do it.

Or you can buy a USB jig off eBay fora low price and use that to force download mode. What were you doing which caused the phone to brick?

Maybe flash with pit and check repartition?

I always wonder, won't a 32GB pit be different from a 16GB pit?

he would need download mode for that , and his problem is just that. he can't get in download mode. A usb jig could force the gs3 to go into download mode :cyclops:

If you read properly he can enter download mode

Was going to mention, there is a thread with people whom have usb jiggs, he could borrow to fix it..

You do not need the usb jig .. its just a resistor looped on a usb connection i made one easily for my dads galaxy 5. But you don't need it ita only needed if i cannot enter download mode manually.. which u can. Recheck the files and drivers you have odin version .kdz file etc.. I'm sure you shall get it fixed... ps its not bricked

Ur phone is not bricked...download latest stock rom..and use windows 7...and in odin check repartion.had same issue with rom ..i changed latest rom..n worked for me

I see that English is not your first language. Here is a guide:

Go down to "Flashing firmware with Odin" and follow the guide. Also it looks like you need a .PIT file since yours is messed up.

I have asked before above, but no one answered.
Is 16GB pit same as 32GB pit?
Edit: I just don't want the dude to further screw up his phone.

I'm not 100% but i remember reading a post where someone said that the 16gb and 32gb pit are different.

[problem] Flash Stock Rom via Odin

I download the DDLK firmware package from Here.I follow the Odin , b4 I flashing many times without any problem but today I place all the 3 file PDA, Modem and CSC in their place and Press Start...Its showing PDA.....md5 is invalid...why..???

Use the splitfus to make your odin pack.

possibly a bad file just download ddmd1 from @Yash98 s thread.. It has a fix for the ddmd1 problem.

DDMD1 has Ramdisk problem....So I revert back to old one.....

Try flashing this stock rom via odin
unzip
put csc in csc
modem in phone
PDA in pda

If u r having too much problem then go to opera:config ... and turn on complex fonts... try it...

when I going to write bangoli then this problem has come to me.and when I open fb app in bangla language can not see correctly

Did you:
1. Turn on USB Debugging?
2. Installed Samsung Drivers for Mobile Phones?
3. Using correct USB cable?
4. Tried using correct version of Odin (1.84 & 1.85)?

How to extract modem

Hey guys , i would like to ask how to extract a modem from a official firmware ( UBUBFNC1 - Argentina ) and flash it into another custom rom ? Where to find the modem , which directory is it hiding ? Prefer to flash it using Philz Touch CWM if possible . Will appreciate any help

Use 7zip or Winrar
look for modem.bin and NON-HLOS.bin

You mean i need to use pc / laptop ? Search it thru Winrar then compile it into zip file & flash thru cwm ?

Download the firmware from sammobile or samsung-update then extract the file using 7zip and grab the modem.bin . Now Download one of the modem from here by djembey . Once your done downloading ,Open the file and copy the modem.bin you extracted from the firmware you download/extracted then copy to your sd card , boot into recovery mode and flash away .
