Stuck in Recovery

I recently rooted my Nexus 10 and was wiping by data and system partitions for a fresh install of CM10, and I accidentally chose format all data. So my device is wiped except for TWRP.
I was hoping to just plug it back into my comp. and copy the zip over to install but even though my computer sees the device it doesnt show as removable storage,
I also tried to use adb sideload, but i get the error "failed to write data 'protocol fault <no status>'
Does anyone have advice for how I can get that zip back on my tablet.
In TWRP, select mount, then mount usb drive. Plug into your pc and it should it appear as a usb drive for you to copy the rom or zip.
Edit. It appears that the nexus 10 version of TWRP does not have this option.
Instead, you could use an otg cable and flash drive and copy it to your n10 with TWRP's built in file manager.

[Q] Can't mount sdcard in CWM 6.0.4.4. Help!

Guys, all of a sudden CWM can't mount the sdcard. I wiped the data in order to install Vanir's ROM. I was previously on Rayglobe's. Is there anyway to come outta this? I'm desperate guys, please help me. I don't want this costly phone to become a brick! It's D802 BTW.

Sorry, correct me if my knowledge was wrong - but how u want to mount a SD-Card when the phone has no slot for it?
Hi,
Yes, you can't mount sdcard in recovery with phones without sdcard (the recovery can't mount the link to the internal memory, even if it's called sdcard), if you have an USB OTG cable you can mount your external sdcard and make backup or put into it some flashable zip's...
If you wiped data, why you want to mount your sdcard , you have your rom in the internal memory so just flash it...

Internal storage is named "sdcard", even though that doesn't make any sense. I've Nexus 4 and it shows the same thing too.

I used to flash other ROMs through "sdcard" from CWM menu before, it was working perfectly until now. There's also "external_sdcard" sub-menu too.

Hum... No need to mount your sdcard to flash your rom... Like I said external sdcard is if you use an USB OTG cable, it's the link for your external USB storage.
In CWM navigate to the sdcard then where you put your rom, simple...
But if you wiped your sdcard in recovery, it will be harder for sure...
Or I don't understand what you mean
So I flashed TWRP D802 ver. from Flashify, but now I can't even do a factory reset as it says that it cannot mount /data. Now I can't wipe nor can I install a zip from TWRP. Please help me.
Just flash stock. Go to general section. "Go back to stock"

[Q] Can't mount internal storage TWRP

So, things have massively escalated today and my phone appears to be soft bricked. Joy. I'll run through what happened.
1. I encrypted my phone using the built in tool in Cyanogen Mod. After it rebooted, it was glitchy and I lost a load of apps, the phone really wasn't working well. Rebooted again, but no improvement.
2. I went into TWRP (2.8.x) to restore my old backup, which was on the SD card. After the initial wipe of the internal storage, the log showed
E: Can't mount storage
Click to collapse
and the restore failed.
3. I reboot and phone goes straight into recovery mode as there is no OS installed (the recovery wipes the internal storage first). Internal Storage is now showing as '0 MB'. I cannot find a way of mounting this storage anymore. Have tried factory reset (doesn't work because file system isn't mounted), and rebooting a few times but no avail.
* There seem to be some options about flashing a .pit file using odin, but I do not have this file. My phone is the Note 4 SM-N910F Model. If I can do this through Odin then maybe this will resurrect the file structure and make this storage mountable?
* There may also be another option using ADB but I still don't know what commands to use.
Any help would really be appreciated as it seems there is some possibility of a fix. That being said my hopes are not that high...
I believe I may have fixed this. I would like to keep this up here in case in helps anyone in the future, I would imagine this is only useful for people who have encrypted their device. I'm not an Android expert so can't be responsible for any damage to devices or data loss etc.
It seems that the encryption must have gone wrong somewhat and this is likely to have impacted on the file system.
Although I couldn't wipe on the device, I was able in recovery to FORMAT data (not just wipe). Go to the wipe menu, then format. After this, reboot into recovery again and you should be able to mount again. It rebuilt the filesystem too.
This should be a quick fix that may help a few people with the issues with not being able to mount the file system. I hope this can help at least one person!
I managed to restore from my backup after and phone is now working. Thanks anyway!
Is there any way to set the default storage of play store apps to the sd card?

[Problem Solved] SDCard Damaged or Needed To be Formatted

Recently i hv removed my extsdcard to put 2nd sim on my mobile E7, when my work with 2nd sim finished i hv re-inserted the sdcard to my mobile then it said sdcard damaged and unmounting itself, when i connected it to pc, the pc said it can't read & needed to be formatted, but I can't format it as i have some important data & backups on it, so i hv searched on web for solution, maximum solutions are that i hv to format the sdcard to reuse it or use a data recovery software to get data (Not entire data) from it, At this stage I'm desperate & tried one last time re-inserting it to my mobile, same response sdcard damaged, then i have went to twrp recovery, there the recovery was able to read all my files on my sdcard, then using file manager in recovery i have deleted all extra folders in which i don't have any kind of data & rebooted to system, Then my sdcard card was working again as it used to be with all my personal data!!
May be it helps someone on someday, so I have posted here, Cheers!! [emoji4]

i wiped twrp, advanced wipe. i wiped dalvik/art,cache/system,data,internal storage and usb otg.
i am trying to copy and paste oneplus rom onto phone internal storage. The laptop shows copy window but never transfers file over to phone.

You'll have to search how to do it using ADB.
There's a toolkit somewhere in this section. It can be helpful as well.
Good luck
