[Q] Nexus 4 Returns after 15 days? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey i have a nexus 4 and have had it for over 3 months now, and i am already on my 5th defective device, i seriously can't take it, i had heard somewhere that if google keep sending me faulty devices then i am entitled to get my money back? I mean i am sick to death now of going back and forth sending phones to google and back, and each and everyone of them have faults? Has ANYONE been able to get a refund past the 15 day return period, and in what circumstance? Thanks!

What's been wrong with them?

Its not me, its the devices Coming from a One X that had many faults that i had to deal with, but seriously i can't take the one's on the nexus 4!

Man so many problems! I was wondering what I can do after 15 days as well. I have a squeaky power button and yesterday the phone had a hard time deciding if it wanted to connect to T-Mobile or not. I'm not sure if there is anything wrong with the phone to cause it from having connection issues or if it was just last night. The squeak should not be enough for me to send it back, but I'm scared that it is actually messed up and that it will break after 15 days. I'm on day 13

Hm maybe its a problem with the actual screen and therefore can't be taken with a screenshot..... I'll try to upload pics with my phone later but, if you would notice them, also I just looked at this post on my computer and I can't see them either, it must be a problem with the LCD

Yeah sounds like it. Nothing you can do to fix that. Hopefully you're still in your 14 day window and can exchange it. I'm going to be getting mine in two weeks and have my fingers crossed that it doesn't have any defects like this.

Hi xda i am having an issue with my galaxy note 2 (N7100)
I bought the device new from amazon and after using it for a few weeks i am having green lines apearing down the right side of the screen and green blocks flickering horizontally especially near black areas since it is only a few weeks old it is still under warranty
BTW I am rooted and running stock rom with Perserues kernal 36.3 but have the issue even running completely stock rom and kernal
Its look like a burn mark to me. Better exchange it while its still under warranty..

I am taking it to the samsung service centre on Monday after i flash it back to stock
Keep us updated on the resolution! I wonder how sammy reacts to such issues and whether they cover it under the warranty
I took it to the warranty centre and they knew in just 10 seconds which part that need replacing but when i asked which part had the issue they wouldn't tell me anyways the accept to repair it under warranty and said they will phone me when it is ready they said it should take probable 4 days :fingers-crossed:

LOL probably the display

Why I'm selling my HTC One.

It has bricked on me a second time.
The first time, I was on ViperOne 3.1 with ElementalX and the phone shut off after a call. The phone was a sad cold aluminium shell. It was so bad I had to send it in to Rogers and have it repaired.
I got the same phone back but with stock 4.3 Sense 5 unrooted but suprisingly with an unlocked bootloader. The repair notes did not say they needed to open it up.
I then rooted and flashed stock GPE 4.4 odexed with Xposed + GravityBox KK and about a month later... same deal. But this time, the front capacitive buttons remain lit.
Im going to wait till it dies, attempt to boot it and then factory reset it ready to be sold, granted I don't have to send it to Rogers again.
I will not buy an HTC product again.
And before you guys quickly post, the phone is well beyond the light trick+power+volume down.

Just curious have you tried android revolution? I have been running his Roms for a long time and they are usually very good and very stable.

why nobody cares
its obviously a software problem, and upon flashing a ROM you take this risk.
But cool story doe.

As long as you didnt rooted it etc it definately is covered by the Warranty
Looks like a Glueing fail wich gets worse when the Phone is in Use due to the Temperature differences

So its Defective from factory not because of bad using or anything like this
I have the same problem, I can't use my warranty because the person on eBay I bought it from had the phones shipped from Hong Kong. Pretty bloody annoying.

Has anyone elses speaker grill fallen off on their Nexus 6P?

I've had my Nexus for nearly 3 months and yesterday I noticed the black strip (grille) that runs along the speaker was wobbly. I lightly rubbed my finger along it to see how lose it was and the next minute it has fallen out. I not had this phone very long, I've looked after this phone very well using a case and a tempered glass screen protector, and it's already breaking. Not good considering I spent nearly £600 on this! Has anyone else had similar problems?

You are not the first to have this happen, the last time I read a thread on this the owner got a replacement from Google. If you bought from huawei, good luck.

Sigh, hope nothing happen to mine. Got it from best buy

It happened to me, had mine for few months and one time when I pulled it out of my pocket the grill just wasn't there anymore. I bought it from Google and got it replaced with no issues, didn't have that issue so far after a few months with the second one.
Same thing has happened with me, although I've been using it for more than two years now.
Best part of this is, by "wasting" 2 minutes of any part of your day and adding the smallest amount of superglue to it, you will solve this immense problem 100% and then you can forget about having this issue ever again :silly:
UP!
I'm also looking for this grill.
Any solution?
