Now that Cornerstone has been open sourced and works on jellybean, is it likely that we will see some Nexus 10 roms that incorporate this?
I sure hope so. I'm going to be looking into what it takes to get going.

I hope so to, I'd donate to a dev to work on it. Sure cheaper than a galaxy tab
I may look into this in the next few days, as it's something I'd use quite a bit myself.

Nice, I would actually buy a Nexus 10 just for this feature
I've been working on this for a bit tonight. So far I've got most of the things merged properly with the 4.2 structure. The code that OnSkreen released was only for 4.1.1, so there are a few things here and there that have to be accounted for. I should hopefully be able to begin building tomorrow.

Directly from aosp. I'll probably gradually add features afterwards

Interested to see this in development! Maybe this will encourage other developers to integrate Cornerstone into their ROMs.
I noticed that the Note 10.1 has a similar feature (multi-window)... but it's kinda pointless on a 1280x800 screen!
Really looking forward to this if it's possible, as it would be amazing on such a high res screen

Fully Stable ICSI would just like to let you guys know (If you havent been in General Lately.) that some devs at Androidcentral are working on an ICS rom built from SDK
http://forums.androidcentral.com/sp...127806-read-only-memory-ics-sdk-port-wip.html
Flash this afterwards so you get Root, Proper fonts and lockscreen fixes.
Also, some goodies:
http://tylerwatt12.com/XDA/ics/gallery/
Build 1A below, current build is build 2B see forum for download link
New version
What works:
WiFi
SD Card
Touchscreen
Hardware Acceleration(most)
Camera (After first FC)
Home, search and back buttons (not menu button)
Headphone and ext spk. sound
3G Text, MMS
What doesn't:
(Some ICS lib's had to be replace with GB lib's. So it's not exactly a clone of the SDK build (still great work though)
NFC no worky
I'm being told Calls dont work
Tap to share
some ICS features are left out.
Ill explain things a bit better here:
With any android release (Not including Honeycomb) the software release goes as follows:
Android develops the Android Version
A PR is made on the subject usually including a new device that will run the software
Between the announcement and release of the phone the SDK is released for that new version of Android
A Dev takes apart the SDK version of the rom and starts porting things over.
SDK builds don't usually work as an every-day phone, just something to play around with.
Sometime after the phone is released Source Code for the Android Version is released in which dev's will be able to make awesome ROM's that work well
(Fastest source release to rom build is about 1 hour) So you can expect that after Source is released Dev's will get a working ROM within hours.
... Weeks/Months Later..
Samsung releases ROM's to Carriers for OTA Updates.
Correct me if i'm wrong in any part here guys

Hey, just wanted to clarify, the ROM is not built from source but ported from the released 4.0 SDK.
I read earlier that its a sdk port and not source code. Is there a quick explanation regarding the difference between the two.

Source code is just that, source. The actual source used to compile android. The android SDK is a tool released for emulators allowing you to emulate the os on your computer, for example. These ports are ported from that emulator while roms you see around here are built from source for your device.

As cool as these ports are, they'll never have full use out of them being a SDK. I wish the launch of IC was sooner as far as updating. Waiting until the 10th for the Galaxy Nexus to come out was a little bit of a wait. A week or two after it was announced would have been reasonable.

I know it's frowned upon to ask, but how likely are we going to see a build for the Tab 2 in the future?
Not trying to be rude or demanding or anything, I know it takes developers time to release new builds, but I simply am so excited for the vsync and triple buffering utilization. Google is paving the way for mobile OS technology while Apple sits in the corner throwing up the same old OS with one or two "new" features. That being said... I can't wait for 4.1

Project butter is the main thing if I'm not mistaken. This is basically ICS but built much, much better in terms of code, fluidness, and speed. Correct me if I'm wrong. There are a few other nice additions but nothing major. Things like expandable notifications, new lockscreen animation, ect.

I agree with you about the ETAs, but I think you misunderstood this circumstance... He is not asking the developers, he is asking everyone in this thread. It can't really be called an ETA, because estimations require some knowledge of the activity behind the scenes (somewhat like an educated guess) - if anything, he is asking for a WSTA - a Wild Speculation of Time of Arrival
With that said, there is even less point in asking for that than for an ETA, because all of our answers are unfounded guesses - but at least he isn't directly bothering the developers (they don't have any obligation to respond in this thread, so it's their choice if they're bothered by it, unlike in their threads)

Throwing it out there as I have the time to pursue but not the hardware - anyone willing to part with a p3113?, I'd like to port over MIUI for the Tab2. If anyone is interested PM me.
For the love of Google, someone get this guy a P3113. Or donate so he can get one! I'll throw a few bones your way Tuesday/Wednesday.
Anyone else interested in MIUI for our tabs? If 25 of us just do $10, this guy, might just deliver something awesome.
Can, you provide us with a little more info on your dev skills; can you handle such a task? Also, a donate button, or paypal link would help your cause, getting donations.

Hah' thanks for the plug. In theory this would be my first full blown rom. Ive always done the testing, never the up front work. I've gotten my tab to the point where I don't even care if JB gets ported to it. Everything works, its stable, snappy, and makes no sense to mess with it.
As for my Atrix4G...that ****s taken a beating and MIUI was my choice. There where too many minor bugs and since I want a phone that works full time, I stopped messing with that and went back to Jokers latest. Searching around I can't find anything for a 3113 and MIUI. In short, if I had something else to fart around with and get it to the point where it works as well as what I'm writing you with...I'd love to share, maintain, etc. Paying for the shorties education, sports, etc comes first...hah. took the honest approach with this one.

I would love to see this on our Tab, but considering the low-end requirements...
I don't mean to be a buzzkill, but this will probably never see the light of day on our tabs. We do have a Desktop Ubuntu ARM port, and a fully working Linux kernel for other OSes but even with everything in front of us, I doubt it will happen.
I think the only way we could get it is if someone takes the source code and probably do some crazy mods to it to get it to it to make it work for our tabs.
I am quite the optimist so here's to hoping!
