Settings->Language and input->Samsung keyboard (settings)->Input languages
There you can download additional languages

But still I can't find the japanese language. :banghead:
Is there another way to do s note handwriting recognition in japanese language?

Hi there,
I have a similar problem. I bought the phone in the UAE and tried to change the language of handwriting recognition. I could install the language, but when I enter any handwriting in S-Note I only get the choice of English US or UK.
What can I do? The German keyboard and the "Umlaute" work.I contacted Samsung, but they said they could not do anything as the phone was registered for UAE. Is there a solution??
The phone is not connected to a phone contract, so it should be rooted,
Thanks for assistance.

I was typing on the Samsung virtual keyboard and I noticed that the y and the z are flipped around. I switched to the android one and it was fine. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this and if it can be fixed.
Nope. They are OK on mine...

This simply sounds like your Samsung keyboard has a different layout. You should be able to change that in the settings (e.g. by changing the input language).
On the German keyboard layout z and y are switched (and it has the German Umlaute ÄÖÜ ) . I'm changing the keyboard layout depending on the language I'm writing.

I am using the basic English version. The only letters that are messed up are the z and y.
What are your language settings set to?

Samsung Keyboard
Does anyone have a fix for the Samsung keyboard lettering? Some characters are flipped like q is the a and , is the m. Samsung tech support claims the for each Tablet either wifi or data there is a different keyboard model.
You only need to set the input language to the region your keyboard came from, eg set it to german on a german quertz keyboard.
Need a XXLSC rom with Chinese traditional input and launguage..preferably one of the latest with multiple DPI and multi-windows.
Unfortunately, most devs dont include anymore the languages supported in roms.. and dont have the bandwith to download and try them all.
If anyone can point me to a rom that supports the above.. Id be might appreciative:fingers-crossed:
May be I misread your question. However, I think you just can download one of the Chinese input apps from the market. They will run on almost (even customized) ROM. I use google pinyin.

There are some mod like this if you really want stock keyboard, but I feel like using go keyboard instead.
The GN stock chinese input is not as good as GN2 stock chinese.

Have you tried Google Pinyin IME? It supports Pinyin, handwriting, or stroke for both traditional AND simplified input. It's actually really responsive. It switches between Chinese and English keyboard from one press. I think you should give it a try!
I'm a scientist that uses the Greek alphabet pretty regularly. This is my first tablet were using it for taking notes at talks is actually useful. Is there any way to get the handwriting input to recognize the Greek letters?
Also... any way to speed Snote up any?

Not sure about Greek handwriting, but I decided to use LectureNotes to replace s note. It's far quicker and has tons of options. Make sure you delve into the settings and choose a good resolution for the notebook to make the most out of the app though. You'll need to customize your pens too. I use it to take notes for my medical classes.
