Post counts isn't the point here also the way I see is that the more posting you have the higher the chances of you making an ass of yourself. In this case which is found to be true. I guess for the members like myself that has been here longer the June 2010 know that there is an EVO General sub forum. I believe in the saying, "It's better for people to think that you are stupid then to open your mouth and confirming it.

Just clap your ruby shoes three times and say "there's no place like home" then boot into recovery and wipe data. When you reboot say the name or the rom you want and it will be there.

There are also rules for where to post certain things.. This is not general nor [email protected] the op needs to read the rules of the forum.

Not to interfere with this heated discussion of a little white porch and ruby red shoes but I think I will try actually answering the question at hand the best I can:
There has been a few topics on this and as of yet no one is currently on this project. In fact as far as I know all the devs are currently busy with Froyo and Gingerbread.

Nobody is busy doing anything... Vibrant development lately has been completely dead. Many other phones have Gingerbread running perfectly well, where is it for the Vibrant? I was told it was an easy port from the Nexus since they have similiar hardware. So where is it? Face it... the Vibrant is the red-headed stepchild of android and the devs have abandoned it

As does whoever made the comment about red shoes and such. It states in the post i quoted that if something is in the wrong section, to refrain from posting and inform a mod, then it will be moved. Easy peasy.

it seems that the MIUI ROM ported to T-Mobile G2 (HTC Desire Z) has been done. You guys can see the artical about it HERE.

Name one phone running genuine gingerbread besides the Nexus S (not themed to look like it, or running with minimal functionality). Also, no one with any sense would call the port "easy". It's just easier for Galaxy S phones than others. Please don't speak about what our devs are or are not doing until you at least TRY to develop something yourself.
On topic, there have of course been many requests for this before, and even a little talk of taking a shot at porting it. I'd say out comes down to a lack of Chinese speaking devs

I am running gingerbread on my N1, and it runs just beautifully! I'm sure there are others, but I personally cannot speak for them.

I think its dumb you guys locked the ics thread. Regardless if it was drews actual post or not the whole point of android is do what you want and ics and a port and thread and comments and rants and what not is the whole point of forums like this. Hello nexus s development has not one thing on it about ics. That should seem odd. Maybe I need to fire up my nexus one. How can we progress if u take away the online progress. I understand the guy has his own site and what not but that was are only insight into ics on xda. And we use the only phone that's going to get it first . Stop being online nerds. And let people complain there going to do it anyways. And then its too complicated they way you want it. Every post is not going to to as nice a professional as a cm thread. Let people talk that's how you come to understand not every body is a phone guru. You need conversation as well as knowledge. I'm just sayin. Now when is beta 10 coming who knows but I bet the guy with the random twitter post knows more than I do but we can't share that info now. You guys are missing the whole point. Just sayin. I can see how some people think it's a mess.. I mean lets face it tons of people do not bother reading or searching, So I can see this being a problem for those types. I mean now they have to go though a WHOLE two forums to NOT search for what they want and NOT read.. lordy lordy the sky is falling!! what on earth are we going to do? You mean we have to be a tiny bit less lazy than we already are?? lol
I saw the change last night and it didnt take rocket science to see what happened. I was like "oh ok kernels, cm, miui in here, sammy cooked roms and mods there".
If anything it's more organized now, not a mess..

My only gripe is the app, still no original Android development tab.
That guy last night that posted about JB sources when there was another two posts below was typical of what's going on here, I even got a screenshot of it to post but once I went into the thread someone had already very kindly pointed out the OP that he should use search! :But ya, its ridiculous and no amount of posts or stickies or whatever seems to stop people doing it.

From within the app, remove GS3 forum from your favourites and then re-add it, should then show all the sub sections including the new one correctly, but yeah would be nice if it did that by itself.

Closed, as it seems the OP got the wrong forums.
Let me take a moment to remind everyone to REPORT problem/dupe/uneeded/unconstructive posts or threads, dont respond, report, and we (the mods) will get on it and sort it out.
We cant be everywhere, and if no one reports it, it normally wont be seen.
And leaving notes in threads for us, doesn't work, PM the section mods, or use the report system.

Loving this phone!

Hey guys, recently moved to this phone from the HOX+. As I've researched before, the only negative I can see is the burnt out pixel that is very very tiny in the left hand corner of my screen. It doesn't bother me. I had to go through 3 devices to finally get one that didn't bug me so much, but hey, what are you gonna do, right? I'm an assistant manager here at RadioShack in town and I've seen on the two I've sold that they both had the same problem. Oh well, I say it's still an awesome phone. I have no rooted or unlocked the phone because I feel there is no need yet. The stock ROM is already fantastic and battery power is amazing, too. Just wanted to post this and ask what kind of apps you all are running and get some suggestions on how to make this device EVEN better. Thanks!

Welcome, had mine for a couple days. It is perfect. By far the best phone I have ever had. Even my iphone loving manager said that she is considering moving to this phone. She said it is beautiful. Re the apps, I think I saw a post in the themes section that had a list of the best apps. Give it a look.

People who always think they know everything and refer every thread he posts to "use the search button" & "google knows it" would kill xda itself due to reducing the pageviews/lesser income in ads.

I know right? I see one guy ask a simple question and 20 guys jump on his thread trying to explain (in very lengthy replies) how its a waste of bandwidth to ask the same questions over and over again and to learn to use the search button..
So we get a thread with 22 people , the OP, 20 idiots raging and 1 guy answering the OP's question.

Well anyways, I just simply wanted to ask about some cool stuff for the One. Seriously, amazing phone. So can anyone give me some tips or anything that works good with the phone? Anything in general? Instead of arguing with so called geniuses (when in all reality, it's just a phone) all day who wanna close the forum because it somehow doesn't meet their "standards". Thanks guys! Just really wanted to know more about the phone!
